Goodbye Forever Martini Ranch- I saw Portugal the Man here and it was a decent time. As far as a passing visitor experience I had no complaints. But I recently played a show at Martini Ranch and I have to say, Ive never been treated worse in my life. Everyone from the staff we encountered was about as rude as they could possibly be. We got bitched at multiple times for the band that was playing after us not being there on time, as if we had any control over their behavior. When I asked if the sound guy wanted to mic an amp he looked at me and said "This isnt the Yucca Tap room," and stormed away. I was just trying to help him do his job. When we finished our set and tried to leave, the bar tender asked a friend of ours if she came with us. When she said yes he told her there was a $40 minimum. She bought two drinks and was charged $40 because the bartender didnt like us. I run a venue and have played and booked shows all over the state and have never had such a negative experience with a venue.

Ive been to every Seahawk bar/ restaurant in Arizona and Wasted Grain is hands down the best! The food is amazing and priced right, the staff is professional and beautiful as can be, the TVs are perfectly positioned, there is a large covered smoke friendly outdoor area with games and outdoor bar area, tables and plenty of seating, the sound system is just right and they have plenty of parking. This place is a must visit on game day and beyond! It gets packed and wild, similar to being at a hawks game with a perfect seat every time. Speaking of seats, unlike the other hawks bars you can get one "every time" here due to the massive size of this place. Im a true Seahawks fan and feel like Im at the game when Im here, join me.

Martini Ranch is by far the worst music venue I have attended. Not so much the venue as the employees and security. I was there for Amaranthe on Monday the 29th, and after the show, one security guard said it would be okay that I can go to my car to get a CD so I can get it signed. When I came back, another security guard refused to let me back in, and then laughed in my face when I asked him why, and refused to explain any other explanation as to why I was not allowed back in. As a paying customer and the first person in line, I thought this kind of treatment was preposterous, and I would not ever recommend this location as a venue or bar.

Wasted Grain held our wedding after party in the nightclub upstairs. The service was amazing by our server Sarah. Jason, Roy, Alecia, Mario and many more made the night truly memorable. Even the band downstairs, Rock Lobster brought us on stage and let us rock out with them. I mean, I cant imagine a more fun filled night out in Scottsdale. This is the place to party. Thank you so much for an amazing night. And last but not least, Thank you Mike Stravers, for not even flinching when and encouraging this party to happen, it wouldnt have begun without you. We miss you and I will always do my best to #smilelikestravers

extremely professional and classy live music venue, multiple patios upstairs and down, fun open atmosphere, perfect balance of scottsdale upscale and casual walk in, beautiful Women feel comfortable here and so they flock in abundance, super tight security not only spotted my cc pocket combat folder, but discreetly offered to hold it for me at the door and graciously remembered to return it to me as i was leaving, very professional all around. The AZ music "scene" needs this place like the desert needs rain.

After a couple years of recommendations from friends, we were finally able to make it out to "Old Scottsdale" to check out this venue. We live in Michigan, so its not right around the corner. Of course we made sure it was a Sunday night so we could see "Metal Head". This is a great spot for live music, good drinks, and it was packed on a Sunday night. Highly recommend checking out Metal Head, who seems to perform regularly on Sunday nights, great show, lots of fun. Lead singer has an unbelievable voice.

Wednesday night "reggae band" Kush County playing some mediocre tunes. A for effort at least. The place is nice. The bartenders are meh. Sat at the somewhat empty bar for almost 15 minutes before I had to flag down someone to get a beer. The bands second set was wayyyy better than their initial performance! Actually surprised they came out with some really reggae fire after seeing their first set. I may actually come back for more next Wednesday.

Nice place to listen to some live music also had a great time dancing upstairs where the dj played great music to get you moving. The staff was friendly and efficient, plenty of beer choices on tap. The Buffalo chicken egg rolls were very tasty (spicy) and I really enjoyed the Buffalo chicken flat bread. The only thing I didnt like was the cigarette smoke, but what do you do at an outside bar..

Wasted Grain is a staple of Old Town Scottsdale, with good food, great drink specials and what they dub "Scottsdales Longest Happy Hour". They also feature Live Music and Entertainment Wednesday - Sunday. How awesome is that? You can enjoy some food & drinks on their massive patio and then pop inside for a show or head upstairs with your dancing shoes on.

Its a nice place, but its like any other trendy bar in Scottsdale. Drinks are overpriced and the wait time to get a drink is ridiculously long. Not to mention the bartenders (while working hard and quickly) are hardly pleasant, even with a healthy 20-25% tip. Despite this, it is a nice place, just not a place Ill spend my money at again.

If you want a drink do not go to the main bar at the entrance. The two female bartenders are rude and do not care to take orders. I went to get a refill on my cocktail and the short blond bartender was texting on her phone and could not care less about the paying customers. Business must be great to ignore customers in a recession!

Fun atmosphere, overpriced drinks (which was expected from the area). Weird mix of college aged and middle aged people, but maybe thats how Scottsdale is. Live band started around 11 on Saturday night and was a lot of fun. They played bar favorites and everyone was singing and dancing along on the dance floor.

Wasted Grain is a nice bar/night club that I visted for the first time last week. It has an outdoor bar with live bands, then there is an indoor club with a live dj spinning dance tracks. There is also corn hole and Giant Jenga if you were feeling competitive. I had a great time and will be back.

This was the worst bar I have ever been to. The whole time I was there I never encountered one friendly employee. And the bouncers were unbelievable. Poor guys, wwe rejects that never came to terms with life and now are middle aged and making $10 an hour. Sucks to be them!

Saw two beautiful women get spit on last night by some thug with a huge mouthful of beer. It was so nasty. And insult to injury is that the management and the bouncers could care less. This is the kind of crowd that comes to this place. The guy should have been arrested.
