My husband just called me on his way back from this golf course, totally appalled at how him and his friends were treated there. The ranger came out multiple times to tell them to speed up, even though there were people in front of them and they couldnt have gone any faster even if they wanted to. They asked the ranger how they could speed up when there was no place for them to go. The ranger suggested the female in their group just not tee off anymore, and drop her ball 150yds up. So offensive! This group will definitely NOT be returning to this course.

Unless there is nowhere else to play, do NOT play here. They have limited flight range balls, no chipping green, horrible course conditions, slow play, and is just filled with hackers from the Valley looking for a good deal. Beers are also overpriced. I am glad I played here just so I know to NEVER play here again. I will spend more money next time to not have to play under these conditions. Oh, and I was told before we teed off, "Dont expect good course conditions. The course isnt in very good shape." The starter told us that. What a joke.

Not sure how the previous post (1 week ago) was possible since the course is closed and has been for a while. Might be ok when it reopens but you cant review a course that is closed. It reopens 10/16 per Golf Now tee times. Looked at course and it appears they have not done any work to get it in shape for opening, no workers visible. Well see.

For the rate (summer discount), one of the areas finest courses. People are courteous and course in Fair to Good condition (summer late July). Could use better distance markers and I challenge a few that are marked. Almost all greens are protected, but fairways are fairly wide. Id rate this as an easy to moderate course for players.

Oldest 18 hole course on Arizona. Was once awesome. Then got really bad... Stopped playing thee a few years back. Troon runs it now and its better than it has been in a long time. The clubhouse is redone and the grill is excellent. The course could be in better shape, but last I played its transition months to Winter grass.

Hip hop music at front desk and staff dancing definitely took away from the classic resort ambiance..had to ask for bar to be opened for morning cocktails and bartender didnt know how to make a mimosa..room next to fitness center was noisy..not what we expected...

New management changed this course from good to great. If you havent had the pleasure of playing the San Marcos Golf Course since the renovation make sure you put it on the rotation.

Course was is good shape. Small greens but rolled true and bunkers surround all the greens so make sure you dont hit into them!! Friendly staff too. Definitely coming back

The oldest golf course in Az. The fairways and greens are in good shape and because it is so old there are plenty of mature trees. Hit them straight and you will do fine

Really liked the wide open course. I did not like losing 2-3 balls but that was not the courses fault LOL.

It is the oldest golf course in Arizona. Huge trees that you normally do not see in Phoenix.
