I am a handicapped veteran. This is my second time coming to this course. The first time I played, I played with a group of older white guys (who were cool as ice in the winter) and we had handicapped flags. Had a great time. The whole day no one asked us about our disabilities. Round was great. Fast forward to 3/5/16 (today). I had my handicap flag on my cart and was playing with my brother. We were on a hole and the cart girl stops her cart and asks us what in the hell were we doing with an attitude. I advised her that I have a handicap flag and what the hell do you mean. We exchanged a few words then she had the nerve to say, "I bet that injury is fake." It took everything in my power to keep from cursing her out. I replied though and said when you do the things I have done serving this country, then talk to me. Now fast forward to the back nine. My brother and I see the cart girl and she stopped and talked to another employee that has the player helper (or something to that effect) flag. He then comes over to us and makes small talk and then asked me what my handicap was. At first, I thought he meant about golf, then realized he was asking me about my actual disability. I told him Army stuff. He probably did not understand but he said been there done that. So, A, I guess the staff are medical personnel that can cure my disability, or B, they ask everybody who plays that uses a handicapped flag what is their disability, or C, they were being pretty racist. Yes, I am an American (who is black) and I have served my country and my community (retired police officer)! I should not have to be subject to the humility and racism that I was subject to today. Yes, it was only a round of golf, but, it is the principle of the negative and racist interaction. I am very intelligent, so the second conversation was completely unnecessary. Funny, I was thinking about making that my favorite course. It is a nice course. After the interaction, you can have it. The rest of the staff was pretty friendly and professional. If it was not for the racist interaction, this would be a great place to play.

I play at this course regularly, it is in great shape most all the time. My last play was April 6, 2017, the tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in excellent condition. The turf on the fairways is thick and mowed evenly. A good reason to play this course is good golf at a reasonable price. The staff is great to work with, they have a beverage cart and restaurant with breakfast and lunch menu. I would play there any day, and, the only reason for the 4star instead of five is because the scenery ends at the end of the first cut. If you dont get your ball in the fairway or first cut, then youll likely be in weeds or bare ground. But, the course is still very playable. The white tees are approximately 5950 yards with a 110 slope. I am likely to play Bear Creek (Bear course) once or twice a month this year. BTW, they also have the cub course that is in great shape as well, I think it is 60 par. I have played it a few times, but prefer the regulation course. You can save some $ on the cub course though

Ouch! 2 star greens, 3 star fairways, 4 star tees but NO character! Boring, boring, boring. Very good range with good grass and supporting practice areas. Played in 102 degree heat and they told me to make sure I had plenty of my own water because they dont have any on the course and there was no cart lady. Arizona, 102, and no water on the course?!?!?! Ridiculous! And had to find my own cart and a key. Just no value. Save your money, dont waste your time, and give Putt-Putt another try. Overall: 2 stars.

Thanks to the d b "Im the general manager" for yelling at me and my uncle in a moving cart. HEY HEY! HEY! Screaming at us. Not quite the way to approach someone on your course. We will not be back and will advise all golf buddies to avoid spending money at the course and bar on a weekly basis. Thanks for scaring the crap out of us. Yes we took the cart in the dirt. Guilty. You didnt need to be a fool. We sincerely hope you dont treat all your off roaders like this.

First off it took me four and a half hours too play a round and I was by myself. The group in front of me was a foursome and would not let me play through. Call the pro shop and no one came out. There are no water stations or even drinking fountians on this course. It was 109 degrees out there. And to top it off there is no beverage cart on the course. What a joke. I guess it will take someone to drop dead out there to change their policy. Do not go here!!!!

Best value in the east valley. A good track with friendly staff and real nice practice facility. One thing I like is they keep their fees reasonable in the winter and not try and gouge you like most of the other courses in the area. For that reason I choose to play here throughout the summer even when the other courses have lowered their rates.

Theres good news and bad news with this facility. Both the Bear and Cub courses are in decent shape for June but both layouts are pretty ordinary as far as golf goes. The really good news is the Pro Shop staff is very competent and friendly.

Played cub course, easy course great for those high handicappers. The course is in great shape especially considering its very fare rates. Good carts and facilities. This was my 1st time playing but will surely not be my last.

Definitely bring your own water, but this course was perfect for me to bring my kids to learn the game. We did the cub course and it was just the right length for my 11 and 9 year old boys.

Always have a good time playing here. Never played the cub course but the bear is almost always in great shape and a really reasonable rate even in the winter months.
