Before I entered the small park someone said my children might get knocked down by big dogs so to please watch them. I placed them a bench until they got excited and wanted to play because they after all are children. I had someone tell me my childs scarf was making their dog nervous. Then someone said "There are plenty of playgrounds for your children, and not a lot of dog parks for my dog, my dog is a herding dog." I explained my dog and my childrens dog is a herding dog too and that my children were not bothered by her dog. She then said "My dog is bothered by your children." Then someone told me that children under eight years old are not allowed in that park. Why didnt they say that in the first place? My four year old was so upset he had to leave. I will never go back there again. We are very comfortable socializing are children and dogs at a dog park as that was part of our routine where we used to live. I am so embarrassed for these people who think they are adults and have no social skills. I understand dogs fairly well I believe, because I have tried to, and read many dog psychology books. My children were not making any dogs nervous but excited to play. I look for tails wagging, how still a dog is, I listen to them, and look at body language. These people are idiots thinking they are doing great socializing their dogs when in reality they need to learn how to socialize themselves.

We loved to bring our dog here. The separation of big and little dogs is a really nice touch for little dogs who cant hang with the big ones. We did end up taking our medium size Carine Terrier into the big dog side though because there is a lot more room to run. We often had it to ourselves depending on the time of day, but I will say we started avoiding it on busy times (Saturday mornings) because a lot of people would be in the park with their pet but ignore them. One lady even brought a dog in heat!! I have had people give my dogs treats (which I dont care about what he eats but it made him a target when he had something and other dogs wanted it). I have also been there when the County shows up to check licenses and rabies tags and it is scary how quickly the park empties out (guess those are the ones who dont follow the rules). It is a great resource just be cautious of who is around.

We took our 3 months old Golden Retriever to this park, no one was in the area for small dogs, so we decided to put him with all the other big dogs, and it was terrible. Three different dogs (lab, akita) attacked our puppy, we reacted right away, otherwise the consequences couldve been horrifying. At the end, we put him alone in the small dog area, and later two other small dogs played with him really good, normal. People take their aggressive dogs here and dont control them. One of the dogs attacked my husband and the owner didnt even appear near the dog. However, the park looks nice, its big, and the off leash area is divided in two.

My dog (40 pound flat coated retriever) was the victim of an unprovoked attack this afternoon around 4pm by an aggressive black lab at this dog park. The owner was a woman accompanied by some children. I checked my dog for wounds, as did another concerned patron, but did not not find any at the time due to her thick coat. The owner was unapologetic and dismissive, but when asked, begrudgingly acknowledged that her dogs shots were up to date. When I got home, I discovered a very large puncture wound on her back/shoulder which requires immediate medical attention. Beware of aggressive dogs in this dog park!

Great! My 2 dogs loved it! Only downside is the rude and snotty humans. I have rescues and all the people there got there dogs from breeders and I felt like they looked down on my dogs because they are part pitbull. Very dissapointed first day I went ,I tried again the next day and same treatment. Other than that nice park a lot of open space so you can see your pups play without having to worrie. MY DOGS LOVED IT!

The one time I went here, it was full of playful dogs of all sizes. All dogs were well behaved. No vicious breeds, unlike the experience I had at Leesburg Dog Park, where a womans vicious pit bull attacked my 5-month-old puppy before I could even get him through the gate. Baron Cameron is where Ill be taking my dog from now on.

Nice park, really enjoyed walking around the lake. And to the lady who gave the park 1 star because some dog attacked her dog: I understand your concern, but its not the parks fault. A lot of people these days like the idea of having dogs, but not the responsibility of properly training them.

My 1 year old puppy has scars and puncture wounds on his neck from trying to get along with the regulars for a few months until I stopped coming. Its every dog for his or her self and the owners with the highest tolerance for aggression set the standards for all.

This place is great for biking, playing basketball baseball, and soccer, and bringing your dogs. The park has multiple soccer fields, multiple basketball courts, a playground, and a dog park! A great place to have an outside day with your family.

I love taking my chiweenie to the dog park here. It could use some renovation but for a free dog park it is great. Brock always has fun when he goes and there are always plenty of dogs for him to play with.

Nice open fields, could use better paved parking but all in all a solid open park. There are also public (?) gardens nearby that people are taking advantage of. Theres also softball fields.

Pretty nice dog park that is fairly well maintained. Large fields used for soccer, a small playground, and a baseball field are all regularly used and draws a crowd of families on weekends.

Good times. I love how they have a small dog park and a park for the big guys. The only issue so far has been unaccompanied children and really small kids in the park. Not the safest.

Pretty nice dog park. Areas for small and larger breeds. Water bowels, and poop bags. Very coarse grey sand surface--just a bit dusty, but actually a very good material.

My 3.5 yr old son plays soccer at this park for i9 sports. The feilds are next to a plyground (broken slide for now) and a large gravel dog park. Its fairly hilly there.

Very near to my place. Almost a daily go to place with my kid for activities or just for fun. Have slides and events time to time. Football courts .. dog parks !!

Great park for the family. Bigger play area than Fairfax Lake (both are great parks). Plus, they have a decent sized dog park.
