On July 20th, 2015, I could have lost my life. I am a very good swimmer. I never had a problem going into the wave pool, enjoying the biggest waves, where the floor is unreachable, until today. While in the deeper part of the pool, a boy in his teens grabbed my shoulders pulling me down under the water. I didn’t know what was going on at first, but then I realized he was drowning. Though at that point, there was nothing I can do because he was pulling me down under the water with him since he was much bigger than I. As a result of this, we were now both drowning, gasping for air. My family and friends quickly noticed, and my boyfriend (who can’t swim) quickly yelled out to the lifeguard “help, my girlfriend is drowning!” My brother was also yelling, “help my sister! Other people at the park were also shouting for the lifeguards to come help. When they weren’t helping, my boyfriend yelled yet again, at the same lifeguard (whose name is Patrick) to get in the water and come rescue me, and the other teen from drowning. He replied with a shrug of his shoulders as if it wasn’t worth his time. John another lifeguard was right next to Patrick and he didn’t do anything either. There were five other lifeguards (making a total of 7) that were watching the wave pool, and none of them came to help. It’s not like any of the lifeguards misjudged the incident because numerous people were shouting for help. They were standing there not enjoying the waves in disbelieve of how these lifeguards were behaving. Finally, after about 30 seconds, my brother was able to get to me, risking his own life to come save mine from the kid that was pulling me under the water. Another guy came and pulled out the kid. Again, I must stress that while all this was happening, the lifeguards were still just standing there taking the sun, or whatever else it is they were doing because saving people from drowning was definitely not on their list. People we didn’t know were also looking at the lifeguards in disgust. When the kid was taken out of the pool, he was coughing up water, and needed medical attention. Thankfully, I didn’t need any, but while I was drowning, I really thought I was going to die because I heard shouting from all over, but none of the lifeguards came to save us. My family and friends immediately wanted to speak with the manager, and Chad was the manager who arrived. He said he was one of the lead trainers for the lifeguards, and all he did was try covering up for them, and didn’t even give an apology. Later, we met with Chad asking about any updates on what happened to the lifeguards. He said he “made them watch a video,” and then put them right back on duty. If the lifeguards are unable to save people who are in danger while in the water, they should not be working at a water park in the first place. They can’t be trusted and should be fired. Don’t trust anyone working there.

If you value your time & money, do NOT waste it here. The first day I went here two of my family members who worked there helped me get a ticket for my girlfriend & myself so the day we went, it downpoured & there was lightning. We got tickets to return & that day was Tuesday, August 1st. We came back on Sunday, August 6th. We got there around 11am & were leaving by 12pm. I filled out a form at 12:26pm that day. The reason we left was because the weather was absolutely freezing, windy, & that wasnt even in the forecast, it was supposed to be a warm sunny 74 degree day. My skin broke out in hives all over so we decided to leave because we were shivering & we were not enjoying ourselves, many people were shivering as well. We just wanted to get a return pass for a nicer, warmer day similar to that day of the 1st before it rained. We barely spent more than 3 hours there total combining both the 1st & the 6th day & the money felt like a complete waste & disappointment. I didnt think this would be such a hassle to ask for a return day when we barely spent any time at the water park. The staff was rude when issuing return tickets, the food is way overpriced, the tickets are overpriced for the little experience you have & the limited amount of rides with long wait times. I filled out a form there, didnt get a response back so I called, emailed, got a reply like almost 2 weeks later & the director of public relations said this, "Based on your situation unfortunately we are not going to provide an additional return visit ticket due to your second visits weather being unfavorable." Complete & UTTER waste of time & money. They dont care about the customers, its all about the $$$ to them. I strongly advise you to go somewhere else. All the bad reviews are completely true.

Took my kids here for the first time on Sunday. Got there at 11:30 and it was already packed. Very clean place, great staff and a lot of fun rides. Prices as expected for a resort. This is the first time Ive felt compelled to write a review on here about a place. Mainly writing it to commend all the workers and offer advice to other first time visitors. If you plan on going DO NOT GO ON THE WEEKEND! Even though it gets crowded lines move along pretty good. It is the type of crowd that is troublesome. Rude, foulmouthed, obnoxious ghetto types which is why I commend the staff. Case in point....my kids were in the Pharoahs Fortress. People were sitting on a wall where the lifeguards walked to keep an eye on the kids. They were repeatedly asked to move and became belligerent towards the young kids supervising. I asked a couple of thug looking people to please watch the curses they were yelling at the lifeguards as there were a lot of small kids around. I got threatened for speaking up. A woman came up and thanked me for speaking up and explained every weekend theres a flood of people from NY/NJ. They act as they can do and say what they want. Which is to say ignorantly. Lol...same way they drive when leaving. Anyway, she explained as did a couple workers that to truly enjoy the park the best days are Tues, Wed or Thursday when there isnt so many inner city troglodytes. My kids want to go back and we will but, only mid week.

My fifteen year old and I went here, and while we had a great time together, and we did enjoy the Titan. However, there are not a lot of rides. The rides are staffed mostly by teenagers who arbitrarily allow groups of children to cut in front of people who have been standing the line a long time, even though signs are clearly stated that no cutting in line is permitted. Yesterday a family of six got in line and 12 other family members came and cut in front of a long line of people. Some of the clientele that patronize this park are great, and some are so ignorant. After paying $39.99 plus $20 for a speedpass (if you do not want to wait in each line for 30 minutes in 90 degree heat), one would hope for a much higher quality of customer service than the reverse racism that is dished out at Camelback. It was very shocking to see and even more unpleasant to experience. If the teen workers do not feel comfortable upholding the rules that are stated on the signs or if they think that it is appropriate to play favorites with certain patrons, then I do not feel comfortable paying for the privilege of seeing people being treated and being treated (myself) as second class citizens.
