We recently went to aquatica and I have a 7 year old 5 year old and 16 month old. We were in the kids play area and my son was going down the slides with no issues and when he went to go ride a tube slide again the worker said your too tall you cant ride this ride due to safety reasons. My son was riding all the slides the entire time until this different lady came. I am very limited what I can do in the park with my baby and 5 year old. I go up to the lady to see what the problem is. She said hes slightly above 48 inches and you have to be below this but he can ride with a smaller person. She said if I put a life jacket on my baby and put the baby on the tube ride then he can ride. I was shocked! Ok let me get this right, my son can ride this ride if I put my baby is on and then you would deem this ride safe? How uneducated are these people? I said absolutely not. There is a greater risk and endangerment of my baby if I put him on this slide. How inappropriate. No one cares more about the safety of my child than me as their mother. It just doesnt make sense. My son was able to ride the tube with my 5 yo but he could not ride it alone as it would be unsafe? She also said that he can ride any ride in the park. First of all my son is 7 not 15 years old and hes not that adventurous to ride other rides. This was such a bad experience and then my son became board not able to ride the child slides so then I had to take him over to the bigger kid area where my 5 yo and baby could not do anything such an inconvenience. Then my son was scared with the big kids and the water was very rough as well slides were quite big and some lead into pools that were too deep. Luckily my husband was there to help hold the baby and sit with my 5 yo but if I was a single mother it would have been impossible to keep all of my kids happy. We go to Disneys blizzard beach all the time never had an issue they have a kids area that everyone can play together. Aquatica was a horrible experience they have no idea about growth and development if children. Save yourself from disappointment.

We are pass holders and frequent Aquatica often. My kids love it, and the variety of rides is good. I have a few issues that call for three stars, rather than five. Once these issues are addressed and corrected, it will be my pleasure to come back and add additional stars. As much as we love the "current pool", the current can be a bit much when trying to exit the pool. Last year my autistic son and I became separated. I was frantic because as he was exiting I was swept away by the current. He had no way to tell anyone who he was or ask for help, as he isnt capable of that type of verbal communication. I had to go around before I could get out. When I finally found him, the staff was interrogating both of us. I tried to explain the situation, but they made me feel like a neglectful mother. I feel that the staff should have training regarding these types of situations, seeing how delicate they are. I never took my eyes off of my son, until I was peeled away from him by the current. The food is horrible and horribly expensive. We do bring snacks and make sure that we eat a good meal before we arrive. I wish the staff would enforce the dress code. Its embarrassing when my 11 and 12 year old boys are around when a woman is wearing a T-back or thong, or have their bottoms pulled up into their crack. Its a family park, not a nudist colony. They have GOT to do something about their traffic issues. We sat in the same spot for over an hour last week when they closed down for bad weather. We finally called the sheriffs dept for help. The lightening was awful, and we felt like sitting ducks in our car. Oh, P. S. honking your horn doesnt solve the traffic issue, so please STOP! Finally, its the loyal season pass holders who keep you in business when the tourists go home, so please recognize this and extend some perks. How about pass holder only days, or fast passes to rides during peak season times, or free refills with our overly priced souvenir cups? Again, we love aquatica, but there are some things that could be better.

I had a family of 16 to visit the park on 4/3. The park was closed shut because it was full to capacity. The sheriff in car 1017 that was directing traffic in front of the park was a horrible mean racist individual, that would not help us when asked what options we had he screamed at us and told us to go go go. When we finally got close enough to ask a staff member at the closed gate she advised us to contact the 800 # on the ticket. I called the 800 # waited 35 min spoke to a rep. Advised her of the situation she gave us an option to come back tomorrow and pay an additional $10, because we brought weekday tickets,or visit back within a year. Advised that our large party wouldnt b able to visit within a year because we were on our kids spring break. She spoke with her boss they advised they would make an exception and refund the money. I advised her I would speak to the rest of the party to see if we would be able to return the next day. I called back 3 hours later to advise them we would like the refund option and was advised by another rep, their were no notes about the courtesy refund and basically their is nothing they can do. Advised could they find the original rep. and supvsr. from the first call advised no, and nothing they could do.I said could I speak to the supervisor who she spoke to that would not refund the money, she said yes she was transferring me. The phone rang rang and rang 10 times then they hung up. I Tried Calling Back And Of Course 40 min. later the phone line was closed after 40 min. Of holding and being hung up on. No call back or anything, left $460 later with worthless tickets. I cant sale them or anything because my names are on the ticket and says only valid for person listed. I will never ever return to Orlando or any parks owned by this company. Im so disappointed, and very very hurt by the way the company hung up on me and didnt call back.....

The theme is grand, the facilities are what they should be, but the number of attractions and the quality of the food are both lacking. Park services shut down the water features well in advance of storms which never occur (for safety); the park was basically suspended 3 times in the afternoon, once for over an hour. Because everything is outdoors that left nothing to do but wait, they even shutdown the $20 buffet. There is only one aquarium with 3 cool dolphins but no shows or other things to do during inclement weather - where in Sea World theres half a dozen indoor shows to go see (the Pet stunt show would be perfect at Aquatica). Speaking of the Buffet and the food, it was a big letdown. At Sea World theres a $32 all day dining deal which is *fantastic* value, because you get a la carte at most of their restaurants on fine looking entrees and drinks and desserts. That mans unlimited go-grabs on made to order club sandwiches, personal pan pizzas burgers, fries, chef salads, coffee, tea, fresh fruit and things like cheesecake and tiramasu. At Aquatica though, $20 gets you drinks, and access to really sub par food: just trays of pulled pork, chicken legs, low quality pizza and 2 types of pudding which I guess qualifies as "an array of desserts". They dont even offer the same sides here as Sea World that would make *perfect sense*: Watermelon, grapes, strawberries that were available in limitless quantities at Sea World were nowhere to be found here, even though they made more sense for a water park setting. The quality difference is because the Buffet at Aquatica is the same price for everyone, where at Sea World they give you the option to buy the individual items, or buy an all day pass, and because of that they give you a lot more value in each item available. I will go again but I will wait until they bring up the food quality and number of storm-ready attractions up
