I have lived in Irwin all of my life and have many fond memories as a young man of going to The Lamp to see movies. When the theater closed and fell into disrepair, it was a sad passing of a local icon and when I heard a community group had renovated the theater I couldnt wait to take a look. On Sunday, I went to The Lamp for the Billy Price show and was absolutely blown away by this beautiful performance venue. It looks like it seats about 350, so everybody has a fantastic view and is close to the action. The slope of the floor means that nobody is blocking your view from any location and the stage is very comfortable for the performing artists and yet still feels cozy and intimate, almost like a large nightclub feel. Both the sound and lighting were well done and appropriate for the venue. I look forward to many, many more performances at The Lamp and can see how it will be a cultural center for the wonderful town of Irwin. Now, you dont have to go all the way to Pittsburgh to see a fantastic show and wonderful artists, they are right in your neighborhood and in your backyard. Do yourself a favor and check out The Lamp!

My husband and l have been there a few times since the reopening and absolutely loved the new look and the great shows but.......he is disabled and has to bring his wheelchair or scooter into the theater. That means the "seat" l payed for is an uncomfortable metal fold up chair because there are no comfortable seats beside the " handicapped" seating. And if were with other couples...we cannot sit together.Then when it gets crowded, people are asking me to move down even further for their wheelchairs. I believe they should have better seating for people in wheelchairs, etc. ( like in a movie theater) or their companions shouldnt have to pay for that seat! Please consider this, wed like to come back~ thank you

4 stars because of the remodel ,first show here to see the band "Saliva" From a place that used to be a dinky cheap movie theatre ,its nice to make into a venue, just maybe not for a metal band :/ too awkward for a seated auditorium

An up-and-coming theatre with historic origins. The community of Irwin have brought this historic theatre back to life and the sky is the limit. Stand up comedy, music performances, local theatre, live bands. Irwins entertainment.

This is a great little local theater. It has been redone inside and is really nice. Definitely worth stopping in to see some local theater. There is street parking as well as some off street parking in the area.

Enjoyed a great evening at the Lamp Theater ! The Outlaws put on a great show!! The staff at the Lamp were helpful and friendly. Will definitely be attending more events there.

This is a fantastic little theater. My wife and I saw Rocky Horror here and really enjoyed the setup. The seats are comfortable and the lights and audio were all fantastic.

Saw the Beatles Tribute Band "Hard Days Night" recently and the seating and acoustics were unbelievable! What an entertainment bargain
