I only give one star specifically for the beauty of the barn and nothing else. My fiancé and I fell in love with this place and the people (who we thought were genuine) in February 2017. We had visited the venue and decided to put a 7 day hold on the date of our choosing June 23, 2018 and emailed and received confirmation from co-owner stating my date (June 23, 2018) was reserved. Then when we returned to the venue to sign the contract and place a deposit, with both in-laws present, we were with an employee Barb who apparently has only done a handful of contracts (which we did not know). She was disorganized and not prepared for us. We did not mind because we were excited about the day and were okay with being patient. Then came the contract signing..... I filled out every page except one, which Barb filled out. One page, stated "On this day (blank) 30 days prior to your wedding, the following payments are due:" In which I filled out May 26th. My fiancé and I, along with Barb all signed this page. When finishing the contract Barb said she would leave to go make a copy and when returning she said the printer wasnt working and asked if she could mail it, which I said yes (my mistake). From that point on I never received a contract in the mail, even after calling to check in and remind her. Fast forward to July 2017 when I went to make a deposit and to my surprise they did not have my name listed on June 23 but May 26th... After crying and panicking for several days (waiting for the owner Kelly to get back to me when she could meet in person) we finally had a meeting. During the meeting after presenting her with the emails I had between her husband and I, the contract page that clearly stated the 30 days prior mark of May 26th, and explaining that her employee was at fault she continued to lecture me and state how "this will be a life lesson". She stated that I shouldve called again to check on the contract (while I have 3 jobs and I am in full-time nursing school). She also said that because the day was double booked she "asked" the other couple if they would move dates and they said no it would be "too hard" so I HAD TO MOVE. All this was infuriating because she acknowledged that I was first, placed my deposit first and that they made the mistake. So none of this made sense. She basically only gave me reasoning saying it would be too hard to have the other couple move because they are out of state (sorry but I did not care - no offense to the other couple). The only option I was left with was to keep Memorial weekend (which was not possible because MOH would not be able to attend) or to have the wedding Sunday on the 24th and I could come rehearse after the wedding ceremony on the 23rd (talk about a slap to the face). I told her that none of those options would work for me as travel arrangements for out of town family had been made, engagement photos taken which included my date, save the dates were purchased, etc... Since then all I have received was my deposit back stating "I could not have a professional relationship with them at they were cancelling our contract". PLEASE learn from this nightmare of a scenario and STAY AWAY. There are other gorgeous barns with people who care more about the money and business side of things. It is not worth the hassle and headache when you are trying to plan this magical event in your life.

Where oh where do I even begin! My best advice to you would be DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Dont let this place fool you by all the beautiful pictures that are plastered all over their website. For the beauty only hides the dirty little secrets, terrible customer service and horrid unprofessionalism of the place. The barns are beautiful yes...but trust me the headache that comes along with it is nothing a newly wedded couple needs to deal with before/on their big day. What we went through with these people was absolute hell! First, they dont give you receipts for anything that you are paying for and always prefer cash or cashiers check...hmmmm suspicious! They dont do any book keeping or documenting WHAT SO EVER so our payments were like they never even happened!! Causing the bride extended stress and worry when she would receive phone calls stating that she owes money when she in fact does not! On top of that stress no price was set in stone...it was constantly changing and new charges were mysteriously being added that were never in the contract, as the previous review stated. Imagine our frustration! VROOM VROOM! Theres one thing those beautiful pictures dont show you...thats how close the barn is to the road!!! I hope you enjoy the sound of cars driving by because it sure puts a damper on the ceremony! Thought you were getting married in the country...think again! As if we didnt already have a headache from these people THE NIGHT OF THE WEDDING the bar tenders (aka the barn owners kids) were far from thrilled to be serving us our drinks and they made it known!!! The guy was so far from pleasant you wouldve thought he had a bone to pick with everyone! Not to mention our jello and pudding shots mysteriously went missing only to conclude that they were helping themselves to them. As if that wasnt bad enough they were also drinking OUR booze that WE supplied and paid for! Hmmm...sound a little shady??? Not only did they help themselves to our booze, the next day when we went back to clean up and pick up our left over food (which we had quite a lot left) more than half of it was GONE! FOOD....THAT WE PAID FOR...FROM OUR CATERER....GONE!! The audacity that these people have is astounding!! No remorse...no respect...nothing, these people simply do not care!! All they care about is how heavy your wallet is. So spare yourselves the headache and the stress....Dont go here....go somewhere that wont get drunk and eat your food on your expense!

I got married here in June 2014. The venue was so picture perfect that all of my friends have encouraged me to submit my photos to wedding magazines. I planned my wedding from San Francisco and only had to make 2 trips to Misty Farm during that time. Kelly and her staff went above and beyond to make sure my vision came true and that my day was special and stress-free. I hired Misty Farm to do my day-of-coordination. They got everything right and dealt with all unexpected issues without me even knowing or having to worry about it. The venue has great decor and props so you can get the rustic chic look you want without having to locate, buy and rent everything yourself. Some of the items at Misty Farm (e.g., tables, linens, sound system and tent) are priced a la carte. You are not getting nickled and dimed - these items are rolled in to the cost at other venues. One thing that makes this venue great is the ability to bring in any vendor you want, so you can really personalize your wedding. If you need help locating vendors, Misty Farm has a great list of affordable and professional vendors who are familiar with the venue and the staff. While Misty Farm does sit on a main road, you dont notice or hear anything happening on the street once you are inside. The flowers and plants on the property are seasonal, so there is always something special in bloom and growing depending on your wedding season. The venue is also prepared to handle weather conditions - rain or shine. I highly recommend this venue and cant imagine having had my wedding anywhere else.
