I have debated in writing a review for the past year or so until finally decided to write one. I dont want to sound like a "sore loser" or a "whiner/complainer" but I have been going to this casino for years, even when it was the little building back in 1990 and Im not kidding when I say this, I have walked out $$ ahead only 1 time and it was like I was close to being $200 ahead from what I spent. I finally got the nerve up to ask for the floor supervisor last Saturday while playing the Game King "Diamond Mine" slot machine, which is the type of machine I play all the time (except for a time when I cant get on one), anyhow I asked him what was the percentage of payouts for the slots and his reply was, "I have no clue, Im just the floor supervisor. Im not a tech." I then asked him for a "ballpark" percentage of payout and again he replied, "I have no clue. Im not a tech." I wont say how many hundreds I put into the machine the past ? Saturdays in a row but usually I am able to win the "5 of any kind fruit" which pays $45, yes $45, and for 4 weeks straight I never even hit them 1 time, let alone the $225 bonus. I am questioning whether to return there or not.One thing I do like is it is the closest casino within driving distance to me and Phyllis the floor supervisor is just awesome, in fact she was the reason why Ive been contemplating whether to write a review or not so Phyllis, please dont take this personal because you are the best and a very kindhearted and very professional at your job...kudos to you!! I also keep hearing the phrase, "Say it forget it. Write it regret it."in my mind and some will think I made an a** out of myself for writing this, but somethings gotta change there to even make it worth my time, effort, and cash to continue going there!!

Arrived at 4;20 PM and were told we could not check in yet because the room wasnt ready yet, housekeeping did not have towels in room yet Came back at 5:10 and were able to get in room. The room was awful! Carpet was full of stains and cigarette burns.Looked like there was mold growing in the corners. There were no fridge or microwave in any of our rooms.(Forgot to mention we were there for a family wedding and had many rooms reserved for all the relatives. Traveled 4 hours to get there) My daughter and son in law reserved a non-smoking room because they have a 3 month old baby, when they arrived were told they didnt get a non-smoking room. They were told to go check it out to see if they wanted to stay because they had no other rooms open. The room was worse than ours!!! My daughter called around and found a non-smoking room for 40 dollars more a night in Ashland. My parents arrived the next day and when they arrived were told they had no room reserved for them and had no openings. Finaly a half hour later they found their reservation. The staff the first day were rude and not very helpful. When we asked for the manager we were told he was not there and didnt know how to get hold of him, The staff the next day was somewhat better, but not much. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

We went to Bad River to play their Wed night poker tourney. Not enough players wanted to play a tourney so just a cash game. Players were great and very nice. The dealers were sub par. One dealer looked at a players hand while he was out have a smoke. I didnt like that at all. Dealers also seemed to be distracted bye their phones. All three kept checking their phone while they would be dealing a hand. Never seen that before either. Not very professional. Then there is the kicker. The poker manager tells everyone that he is sick and he is sorry for getting anyone sick. I am so mad that he was even there to get people sick. I got sick and missed work for a day. My job doesnt want me to come into work when I am sick so I dont spread it around to our customers or other employees. This casino bye far is the most unprofessional casino I have ever visited. Dealers checking phone, looking at players cards and a manager that was sick and told everyone about it. Dont go here unless you want to get sick and have dealers look at your cards while you are gone.

This is my first stay at Bad River. The location is great being not far from gas stations, shops and restaurants. I think the rooms and upkeep of Bad River could use more attention as far as udating and fixing things. The casino part of Bad River is a nice place to visit if youre wanting to gamble. The staff are very helpful, pleasant to be around and are willing to talk to you and have conversation with you. Overall, I think Bad River is a good place to book a room if youre in the area.

Room was disgusting. I actually checked for bedbugs. Food in the a/c vent, toilet leaked everywhere, no housekeeping service even when asked. Then they tried to charge us for a comped room because we didnt go each separate day and get a coupon from guest services. It took two days for someone to take charge and just comp the freaking room. By this time it was a matter of principal. Did I mention the carpet was sticky. Yeah. That kind of gross.

Its a good casino to visit, but Im not a visitor so thats why its not a 5☆er to me. If I were an out-of-towner, I would say its pretty decent for its smaller size. Good slot selection with Black Jack table games and tourneys, a new sports bar, 50 updated hotel rooms in the Lodge, Snack bar open late, Manoomin Restaurant, the Smoke & Gift Shop which has great merch. :^)

Not happy to see over 100 spins and not one credit. You are loosing all your players from surrounding countys and states. You have to loosen up and get the people back like you once had. If you put $500 in a machine and you win 1 out of 50 spins for peanuts thats why your parking lot is empty. Get your reputation back and pay out so its worth while.

Their song should be, ( lots of spins NO wins!!!! Terrible customer service! Too many drunk people staggering around! Housekeeping stands by you and flicks a rag at you cleaning off other machines!!! And if you want to get a win for $10 you better have about $500 to get it!!!!!! Save yourself a lot of money and agony, and go somewhere else!!!!

The rooms in the bad river lodge and casino have been updated which I love Ive been going there for years and it really has changed the location of the bad river lodge and casino is ok but its in the woods and the middle of nowhere it doesnt get very many people the service is really nice you could even talk with your waitress or waiter.

The rooms are eh but the people are nice enough. We were there right after a large flood so it was pretty busy. The pool is nice they need to keep up on the towels and enforce the rules a bit more. (Kids in the hallway late and underage alone in the pool) but Im sure some of that was due to families being cramped and whatnot.
