We got married over the 4th of July weekend at Legendary Waters Resort & Casino near Bayfield, WI, and we could not have been happier with our experience! Antone, Justine, and Pam were great to work with before and during our event, and we could not be more pleased with their outstanding service. We would highly recommend Legendary Waters to anyone! First, they made sure our reception hall looked beautiful! It really looked so elegant and lovely – the perfect place to have a big party! Second, they did an awesome job with our reception dinner buffet. The food was absolutely delicious and we received so many compliments on the selection. They also went above and beyond and ordered red, white, and blue-themed desserts for us, and we were absolutely delighted with this special touch! To top it all off, Justine and Antone themselves took the time to help serve food to our guests and even brought the head table their meals so we didn’t have to stand in line and could rest after the ceremony. This is just one example of how the staff at Legendary Waters was so sweet to us and our families, and we could not be more appreciative of their kindness. We truly feel that Antone, Justine, and Pam are our good friends now, and I think that’s pretty rare in the world of wedding planning! Some of the other many special touches provided by Legendary Waters that made our wedding so fun and beautiful were: The chairs were placed on the outdoor patio at a perfect angle so our guests could see the beautiful marina just behind us during our ceremony. This was extremely important and something I was a little nervous about beforehand. I realize now that I had nothing to worry about – right away it was easy to see that the staff at Legendary Waters were seasoned wedding professionals and knew exactly what to do! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ceremony. We couldn’t believe how nicely 100 chairs fit in the space and there was still room for our guests to mingle and enjoy cocktails! They really made it work so well. The talented Paulette also made beautiful signs that matched our wedding invitations to place around the property to direct our guests on the big day – this was such a lovely unexpected surprise that went way above and beyond our expectations and made the bride very happy. The bartenders also did a great job and provided excellent service and were very helpful during our cocktail hour and reception. Our guests had lots of fun with them! Then, when we woke up the day after our reception, all of our decorations had been washed and placed back in their original boxes ready for us to move – this was above and beyond service and made us SO happy after a long night of celebrating! Then Steve even loaded up our decorations into the shuttle and delivered them to our house so we didn’t have to make multiple trips with our car. Our family was very touched by this favor and Steve’s kindness and the kindness of the Red Cliff tribe overall. Also, since this was a destination wedding, everyone had to travel from far and wide to the venue. Luckily, the bride and groom and most of their families and friends were able to stay at the Legendary Waters Resort hotel, and we’re so glad we did! The property and rooms were so beautiful and provided us lots of space to celebrate and enjoy family time together. Furthermore, Wendy and the front desk staff was there for us all weekend long whenever we needed anything in the hotel and took excellent care of us and of our guests. On the day of the wedding, before the ceremony, the bride and groom even had a lovely “first look” moment on the patio of our Premiere Suite, which overlooked Lake Superior on the top floor of the hotel. This was a beautiful moment we will cherish forever, and we are so grateful to Antone and the hotel for helping to make this happen for us. We are forever grateful that we chose Legendary Waters for our wedding and would encourage anyone to do the same!

THANK YOU Legendary Waters Resort and Casino: We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Legendary Waters for their continued support of the work of the Apostle Island Area Community Fund. Since it’s inception, we have been privileged to host our events at this amazing resort on beautiful Lake Superior shores. 2012 Donor Event: Legendary Waters offered the Apostle Island Area Community Fund the use of their patio, generous amounts of hors doeuvres, and wait staff to assist with all food related matters. They also gave us the use of their speaker system and they also provided a cash bar for our guests use 2013 Grant Presentation event: Legendary Waters generously donated the conference room for our event. They provided a cash bar and beautifully set tables and a podium. Great service! It was well attended and everyone was impressed. . They have indeed been generous to the communities of the Apostle Island Community Fund. 2014 Silent Auction and Dinner event: Legendary Waters hosted our reception and dinner. Above and beyond our expectations, the event coordinator was extremely helpful in our planning and organizing this event. For instance, blocking hotel rooms, helping with the menu, (prime rib dinner was excellent), arranging for a shuttle from Madeline Island, generous donations of Stay and Plays for the auction. In addition they also ‘reached out’ to their suppliers to increase donated items to the silent auction. Their support has been greatly appreciated. It was a fantastic place to hold this event, plenty of room, we had over 140 participants and guests, (30 or more staying at the hotel) and we were thrilled with the results as well (donors and recipients were amazing). Extraordinary! We are so fortunate to have Legendary Waters in our community. It’s a great place to host most events, wedding receptions, silent and live auctions, conferences, birthday, anniversary, seasonal baby and wedding showers, family reunions, etc. The hotel is amazing, great rooms, swimming pool, each room has a view of the lake. Thank you Legendary Waters for your generosity, support and amazingly beautiful resort and casino! We are indebted to you! Apostle Islands Area Community Fund Board Members Bayfield WI

My original review from 2014 was apparently deleted because they didnt like it. Good thing I have it saved :D. Here it is: I recently went to the Great White concert here. It was a fun show and a great time. Its just too bad the casino kicked everyone who didnt have a VIP pass out of the room right after the concert. You would think having a private place to sit right in front of the stage for the whole concert would be enough to satisfy the $200 for a 6 person table ($33 per person) with two free drinks and $10 casino play. But apparently everyone had to be kicked out of the room too. Great concert, great band, nice environment but shifty rules at the casino. They ruined the end of the night for people. There was no reason to kick the remaining small amount of people out of the room. And yes, I understand the VIP package included a "meet and greet" with the band. But that shouldnt mean forcing everyone to leave, and not have a chance to talk to the band and get autographs. Why should we have to pay the casino to walk up to the stage and talk to the band? We already paid for tickets. Here is a direct quote from the bands official Facebook page: "The band unlike other bands has no charge for meet & greets. You can pay normal price and still hang out with the band take pictures and they will be happy to sign anything you have." But the casino wanted us to pay for that privilege. I managed to get lucky enough to borrow someones VIP pass and got my guitar signed. Maybe the casino security staff just wanted to feel important at a rock concert and kick people out? Rethink your rules for future concerts please.
