Took my daughter out to the movies tonight, was supposed to be a fun mommy and daughter date night...I was blown away by the price of the food $14 for a medium soda and medium pop corn seems extremely high. Im sure you get that complaint alot so I wont make to big of deal for that one. The seats were horribly uncomfortable. I felt like I was being pushed forward and had to hold me head back just to be able to see the screen. My 5 year old daughter who weighs nearly 50lbs kept getting folded up in the seat, so I got her a booster seat (So glad you offer them!) however this did not keep the seat down and she kept sliding back and into the crack, and after about 10 minutes of sitting in the booster she said her butt hurt and it was to hard and uncomfortable so we ended up putting it off to the side. I had to put the arm rest up and sit with my legs on her chair to hold it down and then have her sit on my lap, it was pretty uncomfortable but do-able I guess. The screen in auditorium 5 has a huge dark spot or fold or something in the bottom right corner area and it interrupted the movie, anytime anything "3D" happened in that area it looked distorted. The soda was flat and nearly tasteless, the pop corn was stale and cold, and smelt like burnt plastic and had a strange plastic-y taste to it, we each only had a few handfuls and then I had to stop because I was scared I was eating what might have fell on the ground and been swept up and "Recycled" or something, it literally tasted that way! (And we are huge popcorn lovers!) When the 5 year old says "Mom I dont want to eat this anymore" and turns down soda you might have a problem. About 20-30 minutes after eating the little bit of pop corn we did my daughter complained of a stomach ache and I had to rush her to the bathroom. She felt pretty "Icky" the rest of the movie and couldnt wait to leave but she really want to finish the movie, I thought maybe she was just being a brat or something until I started feeling like I was going to throw up twords the end of the movie and then after we got home from the movie we both threw up the pop corn. I feel horrible that my daughter ate that nasty stuff and got sick from it and im really concerned health standards are not being kept up here, Im pretty irritated that I paid so much money to be Sick, uncomfortable, and have a screen with huge blemishes in it. It was supposed to be a fun mommy daughter date night but it was horrible and im very disappointed. The prices keep going up up and up and the quality keeps going way down. Was going to complain to the staff but they were all huddled up talking to eachother and to busy with their converstaion to notice me standing there..and I knew they really didnt care anyways so here I am writing this review. I did go to the website and fill out the contact us form but was not able to leave my review because it was to long so I left a short message asking someone to please contact me. I doubt we will be returning to Regal.

Alright, so, getting into the theatre was fine, the food prices were insane compared to any other theatre I had ever gone to, but the sodas were large so I can partially forgive that. The theatres I had gone to in Portland and St. Johns in particular were cheap but very high quality. Now, after ordering my popcorn and soda, I went to add some salt. Funny thing was, the salt shaker was full of popcorn kernels, and 90% empty of salt. After about 30 seconds of attempting to salt my popcorn with so little salt leaving the shaker that I may as well not have tried, I gave up and went into the actual theatre. Upon entering the theatre I found great seats, or so I thought, and sat down with my family. The number of ads and the volume of them were quite annoying but that is forgivable, what is not is the fact that my body was nearly tilted forwards by the seats. This was annoying, but again, I can somewhat live with it. Now, the movie finally starts. Except it is extremely quiet, no bass, no standard sound, the theatre sounded like it didnt even have surround sound and was just blasting stereo, which, for a theatre that cost twice as much as the one that did have surround in portland is unacceptable. But wait, thats not all, the screen was torn, yes, the SCREEN had a tear in it, or some kind of fold/rip that caused the two halfs of the screen to have slight color changes and was a general annoyance throughout the film. This cinema has only encouraged me to look for other places near my home to see Star Wars again, this time to get a more enjoyable experience.

Overall, we go because its close. Getting concessions though - is always a challenge. They are disorganized, chaotic, lines are not clear, and people cutting in line get away with it by hovering off to the side, so they called up ahead of people waiting patiently in line. Its up to the cashiers to control that but they are high-schoolers or very young and intimidated about taking control of the situation. The biggest pet peeve is waiting in a long line for popcorn before the movie starts, and some jerk comes out of the theater for a refill and the cashier stops and helps them first while the rest of us are concerned about making it inside in time. Its obviously theater policy, as these inconsiderate jerks have been "trained" theyll be helped first if they cut in line, or go to an open window.

Small town movie theater. $5.50 Tuesdays are how to go. Regal card gets you concession discounts. They try. Dont make it out to be Uptown, it will never be able to compete with that. Kids behind the counter try and mean well and are nice. Every so often you get a jerk behind the concession counter but then where dont you encounter one now a days. Chalk it up to cheap fun and the capability to spend your extra $$ on your date. Its only a couple of hours out of your day. I will say though do not leave any valuables in your car out in the open. There have been few break ins.

Parking lot is very tight, barely have room to open doors. Theater was a mess behind the counter, liked like it hasnt been cleaned in a year. Prices were high. Staff was friendly. Nobody checked our tickets, we could of literally walked in and went into what ever movie we wanted and nobody would of said anything. Theater had seats that looked like they were from the 90s, not very comfy either. Screen quality and sounds wasnt bad.

It has everything a movie theater is supposed to, but my experience wasnt great. Any line to get tickets immediately blocks the entrance and bathrooms, and its usually a very long line. Also, if youve preordered your tickets you still have to wait in the same long line... And the actual theaters within it smell awful. Some of it they cant do much about, but just dont expect anything more than the basics if you go there.
