This could be one of the best theaters in the area. I live by this theater and go there every other week. I love the reclining seats! Thats the only great thing about this theater. I am one that likes the cold, but finds that this theater likes to keep the temperature a little too cold (60s). Make sure to bring blankets as you will need them. Also the staff can be lazy. On several occasions I would see one person working concessions (with 10+ people in line) and 2-3 kids hanging out talking where they check your tickets. The seats can be left dirty or wet. They dont even clean out the cup holders (which can get disgusting). The theater has even started to smell a bit moldy lately. I have needed to go tell the staff (5-10 minutes after movies was supposed to start) on several occasions that the movie isnt playing. They say that they dont do anything during the previews until its the actual time that the movie starts (which according to them is 15-20 minutes after the time shown). I was even there when a person started having a seizure. I ran from the concession area to prevent this person from slamming his head on the ground (from when he initially feel and started slamming his head on the ground). By the time the paramedics arrived to take over I was covered in blood. Not at any time the the manager or staff come to check if they could do anything! It showed me how little the people at this theater cared. I believe if they hired quality management that in turn hired or properly trained their staff, this theater would be much better. But until then I only go there for the seats and its proximity to my home.

Saw Star Wars at Regal Strawbridge yesterday. Sound failed 20 minutes in so we alerted staff. The film was rewound numerous times while issue was resolved. Sound was eventually fixed but we had missed 15-20 minutes of dialogue, so I requested the film be taken back to where sound was lost. The manager (Lauren) said they were physically unable to do that since it was digital. I replied that theyd done it numerous times while fixing the problem. She then said shed talk to the projectionist. I waited by the exit of the theater for 20-30 minutes, then sought her out in the lobby where she was in the concessions area. I asked if she had forgotten about me. She replied she had not and went to speak to the projectionist at that time. She then returned to tell me that they would not oblige my request. By then Id missed about an hour, so I left. I went to Regals website to advise them of the experience - and was limited by their 255 character limit. While I understand that technical issues will happen, my main problem with this experience is how it was handled once the sound issue was resolved. Had I been told that they would not return the film to the point of the initial problem, I would have taken a rain check and seen it another time. But after being lied to and then dismissed, I can assure you that I will not return. Ever.

I decided to reserve two seats for my friend and I to go watch Snatched this afternoon while we grabbed a bite to eat at Chilis. At the end of the transaction, they have you type in your email to send your transaction to so I typed it in and submitted the forum knowing our seats were A4 and A5. When arriving to the theatre, I notified them that I had not yet received the email. They asked for the card I payed with and then proceeding to tell me nothing pulled up when swiping it. I logged onto my bank account, showing them the pending transaction and the girl at the counter called the manage. He was no help. I showed him the same thing, and reminded him that the two seats I purchased had even been grayed out on the screen the girl showed us of the showing. He said oh, well someone else probably bought those two and didnt offer to help further. I asked him about getting my refund then, due to already being charged. He told me that I was charged that it was just a pending charge for the cinemas. Now I am out my money, and stuck finding a different theatre to go to.

FREEZING COLD IN THERE! Been going here for years because its closer and less busy than AMC Lynnhaven 18 however my family and I just cant do it anymore. We go to the movies probably 20 times a year and every time we have been here we, and many around us, are freezing in their theaters (in Summer) so much that my teeth were chattering and I was literally shivering. The people next to me were as well. They must have their thermostat set to 60 because it was nearly unbearable this last time. You come in from outside where it is 100 wearing shorts and a t-shirt and enter a theater where 60 degree air is constantly blowing on you. I am sorry guys but after going to you for 10 years and bringing this up to a manager for ten years you simply dont see your freezing cold theaters make the experience unenjoyable and wont do anything about it. You guys have been losing money for years, well turning the AC off would be a good place to start. Time for us to start going to AMC 18.

Ive never been here and likely never will. Frustrating experience. This is not a movie theater in the way you are thinking. I heard about the comfortable seats and figured it would be fun to go over there and catch a late run movie. I planned to take the kids to see Avengers: Ultron here weeks after opening day. Not only weeks after opening day, on the same day Jurassic World opened so this shouldnt be hard. Well forget about it. Turns out that you not only need to purchase tickets well in advance, but it is reserved seating on top of it. Everything was out. Odds of getting it even well into the future are low. Ridiculous. Are we buying concert tickets or movie tickets? Contrast this experience with the way we easily saw the movie on opening day at AMC Lynnhaven! That would have been impossible here. Nevermind trying Regal.

I went to see a movie matinee yesterday at this theater and really enjoyed the experience. Despite what I read on other reviews here, I found the facility to be clean, and the seats roomy and comfortable. The two people that I interacted with there were courteous and personable. On a personal note, I have pet peeve about movie theaters today in that they dont put the butter on the popcorn anymore. Instead they make you put it on yourself so you cannot get butter on the kernels at the lower half of the bag. Silly I know but when you pay theater prices you want what you want. At this theater they put on the butter behind the counter and for me they do it just right putting in half of the popcorn, applying butter and then finishing the fill and rebuttering. Thanks Regal for making my popcorn experience the best!
