This is a beautiful area and a true asset to the city of Richmond. Browns Island is at the heart of a trail system that stretches all the way from the beginning of the Canal Walk at Pipeline all the way to Belle Isle. This is a truly beautiful area with just as much for the soul to take in as there is for the eye.

Crazy outdoor venue for all kinds of shows. We saw Car Seat Headrest and a train drove by, didnt make enough sound to overpower the speakers, but did make the singer laugh and play along to the sound of the rattling tracks. Great show, great evening, awesome place where you can get that kind of experience.

A awesome place to go for events. The atmosphere it provides helps events that take place here to connect people with Richmond. You arent just in a isolated pocket, youre surrounded by views of the city from its center. If youre visiting Richmond stop here...also excellent pokemon stop spot lol

If you are near downtown Richmond and need to get away for the bustle back to nature, go to Browns Island. This island on the James has running, MTB and hiking trails. Also has access to the river for fishing, canoeing, or just getting you get wet.

A beautiful staple area of Richmond that holds numerous events throughout the year. A good place for family photos. There area few statues/monuments/historical figures around. Its connected to the Canal Walk and is good for walking/running.

Fantastic place. The canal walk ends here and the island has a great concert location. The city has done an excellent job of creating a mixed use space right in the heart of the urban jungle. The whole area has a dynamic feel to it.

Great big green spaces next to James River rapids, solid pebble cement walkways for exercise or just strolling, some historic exhibits, and a fine view of Richmond. Parking is not exactly close by but its easy to get to otherwise.

This is a great park. It has a very good view of the river, its an amazing spot to catch Pokemon if you play Pokemon Go, and I think it even has free WiFi. They host events there all the time so theres always something going on.

Beautiful scenery, hundreds of walking paths, easy access from downtown, and amazing vistas. A great place to take your family on a nice day. There are paths along the river, over the river, and into the iron works facility.

Browns island is one of my favorite places in Richmond. It has the greenest and softest grass. Its located far enough from the roads so that it is peaceful and it has wifi. There are also a number of Pokestops on this island

Love it! RVA needs to add more places lime this along the James. Potter bridge was a great addition, but watch out for pups nails if you bring your dog, someone screwed up with the metal grating they installed.

Nice scenic area in the West side of the R. Very historic with many artifacts from its history restored or in tact. Lots of seating, waking paths, grass for picnics and parking. Pokémon have for enthusiasts.

Your key to the pipeline walkway and a big green space thats well-kept because it gets used so often for concerts and such. I like the waterfront walk and the trees provide some good shade on the far side.

By far one of the best places to play Pokemon, but I dont recommend getting in the water, although a lot of people do. at times throughout the day you can smell what seems to be like a sewage odor
