I travel a decent amount for work. I have stayed in many Hilton properties, especially the last two weeks in various states, and this Hilton by far, is the most inconvenient. For one thing, when I arrived, I was not greeted like an honors member, more as someone walking in off the street. I had to ask for a water after a long drive, instead of being asked if Id like one. Petty, maybe, but every other property I stayed at this last two weeks has treated me like a loyal member. Also, because of the new Starbucks being put in, there was no station for a free coffee anymore. There was loud construction and maintenance going on until 9pm. The sound of portable screw drivers, banging hammers, etc... The biggest problem when arriving was the room. I had paid for a fridge and microwave room, but when I arrived, those items were not there. There was space for them in the gutted fridge area, but nothing was there. I asked the front desk twice via phone for them to bring it up before having to go down to the desk myself and ask in person. They then sent it up 20 min after. Traveling for work for me, means bringing a lot of non-perishable food in a cooler, while driving for many hours and not wanting to spend a lot on dinners out. Thats why I order the rooms with fridges, as it helps out. Also, there is no free breakfast, unlike a lot of other locations... Other than that, the location is in an inconvenient back road, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. Others, absolutely, but Gaithersburg Hilton needs some work on upkeep and accommodations...

This is by far the worst Hilton I stayed in a while. The good thing was the staff willingness to help, but that was about it. The hotel has a nice lobby, up to par with my expectations, but the elevators and the rooms really need to be updated. My room had a stinky bathroom. Probably this was due to sewer odor, but the smell invaded the room and was quite unpleasant. Fortunately, closing the bathroom door helped and I did not have to change rooms, but still an unpleasant experience I would not expect from a Hilton. The restaurant was awful. I did not see anything interesting on the menu, so I ordered a cheeseburger, medium well. What can go wrong, right? The server brought me a completely charred burger. Why in earth would they do that? You see it is burned, toss it and apologize for the delay. Probably they felt I looked stupid enough to eat a crappy burger. I found the whole thing offensive. I booked a shuttle in the morning for my return trip to the Metro station. Just before my departure, they notified the driver was not going to be there, and they said they would order a cab. They very nicely offered to pay for the cab ride (I declined because they would have given me cash for it-- I do not want to receive cash like that). Instead of calling me the cab and let me pay for it, they actually did not call it at all (talking about going above and beyond!). Eventually I had them call it for real and I got back just fine. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hi All, I let you know that this is a franchise . this is not Original Hilton. The facility somewhat clean . But terrific management. Front desk ladies behaved with me like very very unsatisfactory. First of All thank you for reading this Post. I stayed two nights in the hotel, The first night I checked in very late. As i went in the hotel , I realized the air-conditioner is not working. It was the top floor . I called the front desk every ten minutes, After fifth call one person came inside the room . He dismantled the air-conditioner and went for 40 min. I was very tired and about to sleep in the room. See the pictures for the evidence. After 5 mins , he said he has fixed the air-conditioner. But Actually it was not fixed. The whole night I was sleeping with sweating. The next day I was told to change the room with a breakfast coupon. I was not really knew that the breakfast coupon is for the compensation for the one night stay. Later I clarified with another front desk lady . she said you are not allowed to take breakfast coupon. After the end of stay i asked for refund for the first night. they say to get me from travel agent. Travel agent said to take from collect from hotel. I was fighting for more than 6 hours . I was told that the hotel compensated with one coupon. The hotel management never want to give my refund. The front desk ladies are most terrific, Please please dont stay this hotel.

AMAZING staff, nice, clean rooms, great brunch and food overall! I stayed at the hotel to work for a week while my boyfriend was in DC for a conference and the hotel staff could not be more accommodating! Each morning Id enjoy brunch at the restaurant and work from a quiet table, and the staff was so warm and welcoming each morning (I became "a regular" very quickly and they knew exactly where I liked to sit!). The brunch is truly phenomenal and affordable, to include a great omelet station with many filling options, oatmeal with a variety of toppings such as homemade granola, banana chips, brown sugar, cinnamon, etc., scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with basil and tomato, bacon, sausage, french toast, waffles, fresh fruit, a variety of breads including banana bread, cranberry-orange loaf, marble, etc, cereals, yogurts, toast, etc. Perfect to pig out or pig out and still keep it healthy! Theyd let me stay as long as Id like to work and eat, as late as 2:00! Even when it wasnt busy the staff was always keeping busy cleaning and making sure I had everything I need (refilling coffee, etc) but without bothering. It is definitely a business hotel due to its location (and perfect for business meetings), but I would definitely recommend it and come back here again!

Purchased a couples package for after having a long day discovering D.C. (30mins away). The package included chocolate covered strawberries to our room, a dinner for 2 with a complementary house champagne, & breakfast for 2(available room service upon request). It didnt go exactly as planned. They didnt really know what we were talking about when we checked in. We proceed to sit down for our dinner in the restaurant and the server was very polite but didnt know what we were talking about. After speaking to the front desk he confirmed our free dinner & champagne and said wed be receiving everything else. About an hour after eating we had received the strawberries in the room. Then in the am we received our breakfast. All food was delicious and they apologized for not knowing. I stayed in a king room in 714 and it was spacious & nice with a huge TV & a microwave & refrigerator. I couldve used more towels & I wish my special requests wouldve been read upon booking. I also took advantage of the pool / whirlpool which was nice & clean with odd hours. The hotel itself was under construction by the elevator, but not much of an inconvenience to guests. Overall a nice hotel and I am happy they accommodated to what I had purchased.

This hotel cannot handle any party properly. I had a 279 people wedding party here and it was a disaster simply because of the carelessness of the hotel staff. Though the we had booked the grand ball room both Friday and Saturday full day, the ball room was not ready for the wedding reception on Saturday. Reception started 20 minutes late. The room was booked until midnight but they wanted us to vacate at 11 pm because they had a party the next day !!!. What a horrible experience. They had promised complimentary menu cards on each table, coffee and tea service, cake distribution, but none of this was done. NONE at all. Bride and Groom was promised wedding suite with chocolate covered strawberry, Alas, there was not even a room set for them. Does not deserve one star. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. Look elsewhere, if you dont want disappointment.
