We arrived at the location an hour after it opened to find the doors locked. We then had to wait about 2 hours to finally enter the establishment, even though the website and door stated that it should be open. We tried calling the phone number listed on the website several times and eventually contacted an employee through their Facebook page. We were informed that walk-in hours occur after 1:00, even though the sign in the window said "Walk-ins welcomed". When the manager arrived we learned that she had a personal emergency and had someone stand in for her while she was unavailable (who was actually inside the entire time, but never answered the phone or door, even though we knocked and called numerous times). Once we were inside we were given excuses for why they were unavailable and given a 20% discount. The manager was unprofessional and seemed to avoid eye contact. She then let her personal friend (who admitted he didnt work there) explain the rules and ran the room for us. We decided to do the Muggle Escape room and found it to be underwhelming. Certain clues were completely illogical and were only solved with the help of the staff member. We have escaped other rooms before, which provided sequential clues. The puzzles themselves were a simple matter of "heres a number, plug it in to every lock you see and see if it works," which was not a very entertaining way to escape a room. With the exception of one or two clues, which were very clever, we were very disappointed with our experience. Overall, we found the staff very unprofessional and the room to be simply average; therefore, we will not be returning to this establishment again. If you are looking for a more rewarding and clever escape room, check out the "Museum Heist" or "Operation: Casino" rooms at "Breakout" in Newport News.

Ive been to approximately 8 escape rooms and this is by far the worst. Clues are not sequential which results in a lot of wasted time and trying locks with no sense of order. In two of their rooms things were not working such as non working dry erase markers and non working black lights (which would be extremely easy to remedy). They dont stick to their theme but rather seem to have inserted random clues and riddles from the internet with a mild nod at whatever theme theyve named the room after. A lot of their clues seem like "busy work" because they just take forever to complete. Like decoding a dissertation on a wall for 10 minutes. There is no direction and is mostly just trying things out. All in all a waste of money. The staff was friendly but I absolutely would not recommend this place there are MUCH better escape rooms. Try breakout instead.

Had a great time, glad to find an escape room here in newport news!! We were walking around city center waiting for a movie and this was a great and fun way to kill an hour! Staff is super friendly and it seems they love what they do, defiantly going back!! The best part is they accept walk ins unlike other escape rooms! Highly recommend this place!!!!!! Love!

This is the perfect place for a date night! Its affordable, fun, adventurous and shows you how well you can work with eachother! My boyfriend and I finished the Jail room and had such a great time! The people who run the front desk were very nice and the building was clean and smelled like cookies! We will definitely be going back to try the other rooms.

one of the employees was very rude and didnt have manners at all!!! we repeatedly asked for clues (while we had 10min left) and she didnt give us the clue when we had one left!!! anyways all im trying to say is that this place is the worst (my opinion) and u shouldnt waste ur money for these horrible employees. rate: -1000000000
