I really liked the Ovation theater. The food was good, the staff were attentive, and the experience as pleasant. It never bothered me that we may have over spent for the food because the experience was so very great. Then, AMC purchased the theater. The food changed and the menu offers a much more reduced variety with higher prices. The quality of the food was greatly lacking as well. Ovation did not have Michelin star quality food, but it was good enough to accompany the experience. AMCs food is bland, undercooked, and our food was served almost entirely cold. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. We also ordered a large popcorn. The drinks came about halfway through the film. They brought us the wrong drinks, but the staff member said it wasnt his fault. So, he left us with the drinks and walked away. Despite a promise from our server to fix it (after pressing the service button for 15 minutes) the drinks never arrived. Our food finally made it about 3/4 of the way through the film. It was cold, but we decided to just deal with it. Our popcorn still had not arrived. So, like so many others in my theater had to do for drink refills, I had to physically leave the movie to track someone down to ask about the popcorn. Of course, they would send our server our way. Once she finally got around to us (mind you, there was maybe 20-30 minutes left of the film) she said she thought someone would have gotten it to us by now. The popcorn arrived in a large regular bucket. Ovation served it on a nice platter with unlimited refills. You get a cheap cardboard bucket and no refills from AMC. Seconds later, the bill is tossed on my table. It is a good thing we did not want dessert. Of course, we got someone elses bill. Again, I had to physically track down an employee to get my server because no one responded to the service light. Her response: "It happens sometimes." Once it was finally sorted out, I believe we missed a third of the movie dealing with incompetence and we were not alone. It was a running theme in our theater regardless of which server was working the area. I spoke to some of the people from our theater when leaving. They agreed the terrible service coupled with the bland/over priced food and disgusting bathrooms makes for a never return. This accounted for nearly 5 families of four and I am certain they will share their stories with others. It is a shame because Ovation had none of these issues. It is simply not worth the money or pain. Go elsewhere.

First off, let me say Ive never written a review. Second, I work in the food service industry and even teach basic cooking skills so I am super understanding and patient about waitresses and stuff. Last night was by far the worst dining experience Ive ever had. Me and my wife took our son there last night for his birthday. There was maybe 20 people in there in a theater that sat over 100, so by no means remotely full. The biggest issue was the food, Ill ignore the million other small problems, Ill just go down the list My son ordered pretzel bites and caprese flat bread. The pretzel was literally a frozen cheap ass pretzel cut into pieces. Then it didnt come with the cheese and mustard as the menu said. When we asked for them, she asked us what sauce? Then when the cheese came later, it was in a tiny plastic cup, hot on the bottom and ice Cold on top. The flatbread was not at all what was advertised on the menu. Instead of oven roasted tomatoes, it had giant pieces of sun dried tomatoes the size of my thumb. Thats not a bit a 6 year old wants. I ordered the veg sushi, that despite being at room temperature, was fine. I also got nachos. The chips were cold, which Im not really sure how thats possible. There was no lettuce, tomato..about 12 beans. The cheese was solidified gooey thing. About a dollop of guacamole. I sent it back, it came back exactly the same. Ice cold nachos, awesome. My wife asked for a wedge salad minus bacon. There was bacon all over it, which is not cool when you are a vegetarian in a dark theater, needless to say she spit bacon out the first bite. Then the tater tots, crispy like cardboard...which is what happens when you fry them thawed. And again, covered in congealed cheese, inedible. She didnt end up eating anything. They took most items off bill and 50% off rest, the waitress seemed genuinely mortified but like...why? How? You cant melt cheese? It just seemed that amc is trying to use the same cheap ass crap they use in big theaters(which is expected), dress it up, put it on nice plates and double the price. I know food and o know when my entire meal is cooked in a microwave

On my birthday I called to see if could get a refund on an extra ticket I purchased. I was put on hold for so long that I drove up to the theater. I asked the manager what the deal was and he told me the staff doesnt prioritize answering the phones when they have people in line for tickets. Since I was still on hold while speaking to him, I pointed out no one was in line. He shrugged that off and also told me that a refund wasnt his problem if it was done through fandango. Back in March, I was double charged and went to the theater for a refund. That same manager saw me approaching with paperwork and ran to the back. He sent a server to take down my credit card info and refused to see me after me asking for him to come out, over and over. Luckily the GM Todd entered the building and he took down my info. And Unluckily it took over 6 weeks to finally have Todd just hand me cash after their failed credit card reimbursement attempts. When waiting for Todds shift to start to get that refund I just referred to: I had a server named William lie to me about not serving doubles because "They were a movie theater, not a bar." When I explained that I had gotten doubles from there before, he told me "I actually had to send the single shot drink to check the price because our system sucks balls." I was astounded he spoke like that to me and admitted lying to me in the same paragraph.... You know what, not really astounded at all. Why? Because this is one of the worst places I have ever repeatedly gone to. I have been disappointed by incredible wait times on food and drinks (bottled beer smh), a very poorly trained staff, and basically every other aspect of this location. AMC needs to come in and do some quality control. They increased the prices....the quality should scale accordingly. WORST FOOD SERVICE LOCATION I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!

We visited this new theater on Saturday, 3/21/15 for the 4:50 showing of the Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. We were very disappointed in the dining service. The theater promoted that patrons could be served and eat in the dining area of the lobby. Despite being patient for at least 10 minutes, no wait staff ever approached us for an order and we had to go to the bar to ask the bartender to take our order. It took at least 15 more minutes before she came to take our order and once our food was served it was lukewarm and the servers who brought the food seemed dazed and confused. When we went into the theater, we asked to order wine. We were told by the server that we could only order wine with an entree in the theater and if we wanted wine we would have to go out to order from the bar. By the way, at the time we were trying to order and be served in the dining area, there were only 2 other patrons, so it isnt as if the dining area was crowded. After we finished our meal, one of the members of our party complained to the manager on duty about the experience. He gave a very weak apology. As for the theater itself, we did not find the seating all that comfortable. Furthermore, at least 30 minutes into the movie, servers would come by to see if we wanted to order anything from the menu. We found this to be intrusive to our movie experience. We had looked forward to coming to Ovation as an alternative to CineBistro. Well, it seems ot be quite true that "you get what you pay for." The difference in ticket and meal prices is not enough to bring us back. From now on, our preference will be CineBistro.
