Amazing luxury movie theatre! Leather seats that are wide and partially reclined. 2 cup holders for each seat and snack tables between every couple seats. Large arm rests for each seat so you dont have to share the arm rest. Assisted listening devices that had No static, which was a nice treat. best of all, there was assigned seats. You get to choose your seat when you purchase the ticket. They show you a seating chart at the box office and you can see which seats are available and pick your seat. Everything was very clean. Even a lounge for drinks in the lobby. No matter where you see a movie the ticket price is expensive, so this was like getting more for your money. Would definitely go back to the CineLux cinema at Capitola again, and highly recommend. The staff were very friendly too.

So, we were pretty excited to check out the new theatre, wanting to see Finding Dory. At the ticket window we asked for 2 for the film and were then asked to pick seats from a computer screen. The experience was somewhat jarring and discombobulating, so much so that we were actually turned off by it, and decided to forego the film. We will be happy to return when we can buy two tickets and then decide where we would like to sit once we see the theatre and how the audience might be seated. Perhaps this a new thing the management is trying out, and they may be having great success with it; but for us, it was a turn off, and we will probably not return until this policy changes.

Wow! The remodel has done this place well. I love the new cafe/bar. Theaters and facilities are generally clean. Take a sweater though because the theaters can get chilly (I normally run warm). My only reason for not giving five is because I have to print the tickets in the lobby. I would like to be able to have them scannable from my phone since I buy them on Fandango. The location is nice as well because I can hit up Rite Aid next door for candy and there are some restaurants as well. Short walk gets you to the Capitola Mall. Recently saw Rogue One and Magnificent Seven there. Ill be back for sure.

Very cold in many of the theaters and the local crew are not allowed to adjust the temperature. Very disappointed and had to leave, could not take the freezing cold air and yes, I know to bring a heavy winter coat! But I shouldve brought a hat and scarf too. Uggg. Others around me also shocked at how cold it was. The manager apologized and explained how he couldnt make it warmer, it was all controlled by the corporation and that many, many others had complained about the same thing. Maybe if they hear enough complaints theyll do something to make it more comfortable!

So glad to see the Cinelux on 41st get upgraded to the same features as the one in Scotts Valley. Comfortable seating, beer and wine, and decent food all make for a pleasant movie experience. The seats are not the giant recliners like the Santa Cruz 9 has, but thats fine with me. I find those seats uncomfortable. The upgrade also increased the number of screens, which is great. One caveat, if you have to sit in the front row, its probably better to choose another film or go another time. It is too close for comfort.

The theater is beautiful and very comfortable. I do not recommend you go when it is pouring down rain and is cold and windy. You have to wait for people to figure out where they want to sit. In the mean time you are cold, and wet. I hope they change it back to where we can buy a ticket and just find our own seat. I think the owners should try standing in line while the rain is coming down on you. Otherwise the help is very polite and it is a beautiful theater. I am sure they here this complaint all day

We have lived in Capitola almost 6 six years. Having this local cinema right around the corner has been a treasure. I truly enjoy going to see films here. There is always nearby parking. The seats are very comfortable, with good views from every seat. We take advantage of the great matinee prices. They let us put our own butter on the popcorn! We are wondering what the upstairs cafe will have to offer and are waiting to see their menu. The management is always attentive to details.

Plenty of parking. Super comfy seats. We purchased tickets in advance and got to choose our seats online. This way we could relax and enjoy our dinner and arrive at the theater on time not half an hour early. Did not think the $6 "convenience fee" for ordering tickets ahead of time was necessary (but in fact, it may have been Fandango who charged this fee). Overall it was a very good experience and we would happily go back!

The remodel is very nice but the flow of getting tickets and snacks is a bit of a mess. When a movie is about to start it is a zoo inside and difficult to get help if you have issues printing your pre purchased tickets. The seats are comfortable. Some of the smaller theaters only have one isle making it difficult to access the stairs for snacks or bathroom during movie.

When they redid this cinema they did not do it like the one in Scotts Valley. The seats do not recline and force you to "lay back". I could not figure out how to sit up straight. I think they just did this remodel cheaper that either Cinema 9 downtown or Scotts Valley. I wont be back.

Super patient and attentive. I went to see Rogue One and when the trailers started the sound was so loud I couldnt be in the auditorium. Never had that happen before. When I asked management if they could turn it down they were super accommodating without any attitude. So grateful.

Love the new comfy seats and lay out...delicious buttery popcorn and the staff is super friendly and courteous! This is my home theater and I couldnt be happier with the expansion and some to come.. artisan brewery choices! Pure Theater heaven!

The theatre was small, but offered a great viewing position. Seats were positioned right in the middle height of the screen. New leather chairs were comfortable too. The lobby was recently remodeled and felt clean and modern. Great experience

I prefer the old theatre with the gracious elderly ladies who greeted you on the Esplanade in Capitola. Those were the days. This one is nice. Too bad about the contractor not finishing the job. Someday...when the suit is settled.

I love the remodel of this theater - with ticket purchasing on line, a range of theater sizes, friendly staff, delicious popcorn and best - close to my home - oh - did I forget - easy fee parking - yeah!

Wow, Great seats, fresh popcorn, and spectacular bathrooms! A bit of a challenge to find the front door, but I imagine that has changed by now. Looking forward to seeing the finished project soon.

The seats are really comfortable. And its currently being remodeled. Dont let the tarps and construction freak you out. Its rarely packed, so you get decent seats!

Only rated it because I was delivering two new rooftop A/C units. So I have no idea whats it like inside. Sorry, but it will have very cool theaters in the summer.
