Twice I have seen movies here and twice disappointed. This time for the Batman vs. Superman movie. To start they had the showing in two different theaters one seemed to have a problem at 930 so they gave the 1130 theater to them. That meant that the plans I had for my day were going to change since I had puchaced tickets to 1130 the day before. So we were bumped to the 115 showing. Ok so I eat lunch later. Well we show up 30 min early to seat and order food like you do here and we went to the theater on our new tickets only to find out it was in the old theater. upon entering 20 min early since they had us wait outside of the first one for 10 min, the film was playing as we walked in. yep they started it over 20 min early. Then they turn off the movie. yep turn it off. then they say sorry then start it over at the right time. but just the movie, no trailers or anything for the movie goers. So im starving now its late for me to eat lunch we order food. the food being the sampler and the nachos were at best not that great. all the nacho toppings seemed to be on one side and half the chips were crushed the sampler platter the nacho cheese in there had burnt cheese like gross scraping from the side burnt cheese. then instead of servicing off the food or checking on the food they wait till near the end of the film and hand us a bill. I would have loved someone to remove the food dishes so I wouldnt have to stare through them the whole movie. anyways this will be the last time I spend the money at a cinema cafe. Save your money go to the Cinema Bistro instead.

Facilities: Pretty good; I would rate 4 Star. The only problem is with the comfort of the recliner foot rest. When in recline, the upper edge of the foot rest hits your calf at an odd angle -- the edge digs into your calf rather than support it. Food: Consistent quality seems to be a problem and its a hit or miss here. Weve had good experience with the pizza but Ive had fish and chips that were so overcooked that they were only 1 step from burnt. Ive had good gyros, but on subsequent visits have received one with very little meat. The grilled chicken? Seems to be a refrigerated, precooked product and is not always hot (thats kind of unappetizing in a taco). The Cheeseburgers do seem to be pretty good, though without inconsistencies. Service: Quality is really falling in this area and is mediocre at best. You place your order and it seems anyone leaving the kitchen dumps your food off and then quickly skedaddles -- often without supplying napkins or utensils. Press the service button and be prepared to wait 10 minutes to dig in -- because itll take that long for someone to return (while your food is getting cold). Once in a while, everything is fine, but that seems to be increasingly rare. Recently, weve waited an HOUR without our order (and noticed that no orders had been brought out for at least 20 minutes.) We summoned our server and she apologized for the kitchen being backed up. Really? Just our order? While its convenient to order food with the movie experience, I think well be eating elsewhere from now on.

Ive had some pros and cons here so far. The facilities are absolutely top notch, theatre design and comfort is wonderful, and they show current movies with great service. The food is a solid "b". Its obviously not fine dining, but it compares favorably to TGI Fridays or similar. Ordering drinks was not a good experience for me. I tried to order three things, and for the first two they were out of stock. My third try I went super simple and ordered a double of Jameson thinking its pretty much impossible to mess up two shots of whiskey in a round bottomed glass neat. I was wrong. What I got was some kind of whiskey-lime-seltzer water concoction that I was charged $15 for. I let the manager know about it and he apologized, but no explaination was provided for what I was served. So yes, go here, order food, maybe beer, but definitely dont buy anything that might come from the bar, theres something bad going on there.

Best theater in Hampton Roads that Ive been to, and Ive been to quite a few. First its Cinema Cafe, so you can order food and beer! This Cinema Cafe is different from the others, it has stadium seating, and the power recliners similar to the Strawbridge theater, but Cinema Cafe is cheaper in order to draw people in to order their food. Also they dim the lights way more than the other Cinema Cafés. The inside is clean and really nice, my son and I really liked the full size Star Wars replica over the Entrance. I would say the only downside is the restroom, there is only one by the entrance of the theater. Other than that the food and popcorn are good, and the food is reasonably priced. Also if you signup for their email newsletter, which I only receive one email a week, they always include some coupon, some times its buy one get one free, or its a food coupon like $5 off of 25+ either way another incentive.

No parking in vicinity of theatre, many patrons had to park and walk across a busy non-light controlled intersection to get to and from theatre. Unsafe and a tremendous liability. Inside, call me old fashioned, mixing dining with a movie, doesnt work !! Personnel continually milling about, taking and delivering orders, the couple next to me must have been hungry as their delivery had them chomping down for some time, until he began a caughing fit, at which time I excused myself. If one is hungry, go to a restaurant, if one wants to enjoy an undestracted movie, do not go to Cinema Cafe! As auditorium lighting is typically darkened for the viewing, it is not at Cinema Cafe for the safety of their personnel. I get that, then dont expose your personnel to hazardous conditions and dont attempt to squeeze more money out of patrons wallets by hybridizing a movie theatre with a restaurant, it doesnt work!

Great food, drinks, desserts, atmosphere, and seats! We get treated very well whenever we go there! One waitress there is always smiling, always going out of her way to make sure we are happy and satisfied with everything! She has set a very high standard for this Cinema Cafe, and in return she gets big tips from us, along with a "thank you! Hope to see you again soon!" The fact that you have to reserve seats can make the experience wonderful, or frustrating. It can be frustrating when you cant get the seats you want, so you would have to wait for the next movie, or the next day, but on those days when you can get the seats you want, at the time you want, then its a wonderful experience. I do recommend coming here if you are going to see a really good movie, and want to eat a good meal.

"GOTTA LOVE THE CONCEPT AND THE EXPERIENCE!" Wonderful idea to reserve seats online. They have good food and a one-of-a-kind experience. I absolutely love the new concept at this Cinema-Cafe! I will never go back to the old Cinema Cafes. This one has set the bar very high. The setting is comfortable and the seats are sooooo comfortable and roomy too....recline, recline, recline; the theater is fairly large and clean. Customer service is good and the food is average to above average depending on what you order but the food always comes out hot and fresh; and if it is not, they will make it right for you. Parking is plentiful too. Youre missing out on a great experience for you, family (kids especially), and friends.
