The sign outside of the building looks like its 20 years old. The outside of the building looks pretty run down and old as well. The parking lot is tiny. There have been times there was no parking available and I had to park at Fashion Place Mall and walk over to the arcade. Once you walk in, you are stopped by a big sign saying you have to pay $2.25 for admission and you can buy your nickels right then as well. Youre given entry into the playing area and you are free to roam to whatever game you please. The games look pretty old/worn down, but they work perfectly fine. Some games are newer than others. There is a pretty wide variety of games available. There are partner games, solo games, kid games, lottery games, racing games, old-fashioned arcade games, etc. Unlike Nickel City, Nickelmania functions in a more old-fashioned way. The games require nickels and they dispense tickets. I prefer this method rather than using a playing card like Nickel City. I feel like its more rewarding to hold all the tickets in your hand rather than a single card that automatically collects all of your tickets on there, however, this is a personal preference. Another difference between Nickel City and Nickelmania is that Nickelmania has less games under maintenance or unavailable than Nickel City. Nickelmania may look less modern, but the purpose of an arcade is to provide fun through arcade games and Nickelmania has done this job better than Nickel City. Overall, the building is old, the parking lot is small, and the bathrooms are mediocre; however, it fulfills the duty of an arcade and provides entertainment to its fullest extent. At the end of the day, I am pretty satisfied with my visit to Nickelmania.

I used to go there all the time under the old management/ownership and it only had a few games and some of those werent working (including this dj game that NEVER worked). Over the past few years the place has been AMAZING! Unlike the other Nickel arcades in town, Nickelmania is clean and so are the bathrooms (love the pac man theme). All the games are in great working condition (even that old dj game). The staff is friendly. They even offered me advice on making my own arcade emulator. Super cheap for parties, because you can bring your own food and drink. And its been so great that its even made me consider trying to work at there new Jordan Landing location to try to open a Nickelmania one day.

This place is great and I love to take my kids here for a fun activity or reward for eating all their vegetables at dinner. The video games are all in working order and the machines that vend tickets are not rigged to make you loose all the time (Im looking at you, Nicklecade). I usually give each of my kids a bag of $5 worth of nickles and skim 4 off the top. Then I spend my time playing Dig Dug and Centipede while they drop nickles into machines like there is no tomorrow. Its actually great fun to visit and to show off my Dig Dug skillz.

This place is a ton of fun. Great mix of classic games from the 80s and 90s, newer games that my kids love, and lots of fun skill games that pump out tickets that your kids can redeem for toys. The staff does a great job keeping the place clean and all the machines work perfectly. Its also a great value--$10 in nickels is enough to keep my entire family of four entertained for two hours.

Fantasic collection of arcade games and the largest collection of pinball games. The owner really cares about keeping the machines in working order, and he is at one of the two locations every day with his part time repair man to fix and maintain everything. People forget that these machines were never meant to last the 30+ years. So keeping them working is a real labor of love.

Of all the nickel arcades around, this one is BY FAR the best. A good selection of modern and classic games, a big row of pinball machines, and plenty of redemption games make it a safe pick for any type of gamer. Its great to be able to play newer pinball machines for ten to fifteen cents, and best of all, most of the games are in good working order.

This is the best nickel arcade Ive gone to in the valley. Its nice, cheap, and of course, fun! Mostly everything actually works here, unlike at some of the other nickel arcades Ive been to. My only complaint is not the actual arcades fault; it just gets crazy busy on the weekends. But during the week, or in the mornings, its great.

I visited a few arcades on a recent visit to Salt Lake, this one was the best of the ones I was able to visit. it was clean, had a good selection, and almost everything was in good working order. Lots of classics, and pinball machines that someone is actually maintaining. Will stop in again on my next visit to SLC

Love going here! Everytime we go here, my family has fun. This last time we had a issue with one of the worjers. But we addressed it and they delt with it quickly. We had never had issues with workers before, this guys must have been new. We still love this place though. Great pleace to have fun with great workers!

Its a bit small, its usually crowded on the weekends, and not all of the games work. But for the most part most of the games do work, and they have some pretty fun ones. There is also a wall of pinball machines that most of the kids never touch, so if youre into pinball its a good spot to hang out for a while.

The games are awesome to play!!! However the biggest downside is that the place can get a little foul smelling at peak hours. I dont know how you would go about getting some air circulating through there, but it would be much awesome. Thank you for keeping the games we love at affordable prices!

This is the best nickel arcade in Salt Lake. Most of the games are in good working order. They have a good mix of the new ticket games for prizes and video games. Great selection of old video games that I placed back in the 80s. Lots of pin ball machines to. Fun for most ages and is affordable.

Ive never seen this place short of packed. $2.50 entry, older games at 5cents, most are more. The kids running the place are pretty laid back. The place is old and has garbage around, but with the amount of people in the place, its not surprising, but its a fun way to kill a few hours.

Inexpensive and worth the cost. I believe there were only 1 or 2 games that were out of order. Pretty impressive considering the number of games they have. Great job maintenance. The overall look of the place isnt that great (needs a renovation), but nothing that was disgusting.

A great destination for vintage gamers and pinball fans as well. Over 15 pins, aisles of vintage and modern vids, skeeball, and much more. Games are well maintained and its a clean, well lit environment. Plus it has cool Pac-Man themed bathrooms. What else could you want?

Bring my wife and two young girls here all the time. Its great, affordable fun. Draws a decent crowd, not too many shady characters. The staff is awesome too. Really helpful and not bad for a good conversation either. We will be returning a lot over winter time. Thanks NM!
