Beautiful park! Perfect for walking the dog, taking a nice jog or enjoying a family outing. There are plenty of play areas for kids, sand pits for volleyball & several picnic pavilions. You can also make reservations for parties or whatever get togethers you desire. Jordan River runs through the park, so there are a variety of ducks, geese & birds to look at. Theres also a good size pond on the east side, where most of the ducks & geese swim. West Side Entrance (main entrance, off State Street), there are statues to admire, as well as a popular white cabana where photographers take beautiful photos of blushing brides & wedding parties. Others use the nearby bridge for family portraits & graduation photos. Across the bridge, there is a stunning garden that blooms in the summer. It has a huge variety of flowers & plants. There is a small pond on the north side of this garden. Its another great place for taking photographs. Throughout the park, there are many different trees. Several have their own plaques with discriptions & information from donors & or who they were planted in memory for. On the east side entrance there is a elementary school with 2 playgrounds. On the south side of the park, there is an amphitheater where the local school out in plays & musicals. There are also other groups who use it for concerts. At the moment, this area is under construction. This is the best park in the city. Its well kept, safe & secure. Murray City Police drive through periodically.

We came to this park over Liberty park, hoping to avoid the more eccentric crowd typically found at liberty. We were not there 15 minutes when my husband returned to our car for the cooler. He heard glass breaking and discovered a smash and grab in progress on our car. At least 2 men sped off in a silver chev sedan. He punched the car,but missed getting the license. Come to find out 3 other cars got Windows smashed. One being a family from Idaho here on a shopping fun trip with lagoon tickets being stolen. Sad in broad daylight what can happen. Justice will be served eventually but the feelings of being perpetrated ruined our day. Keep your valuables out of sight is the best way to fight poor thoughtless idiots like those that hit us today. Cards were cancelled and cash came to less than $100 in all. Poor idiots. Would have been extremely helpful to police if there had been video cameras in the area of the Murray Aquatic Center.

This is the only park I ever visit. Ive been coming to Murray Park for years for a very good reason. The walkways themselves are well-maintained, the landscaping is always beautiful, and there are a few playgrounds for the kids. Its always good for a stroll with a pal, or even to reserve a pavilion for a party. Ive never felt unsafe on the grounds, and thats not something you can say for every park. There are a few restrooms on site as well, which is a nice bonus. I come here often to walk through the memorial tree park, or walk along the stream to see the ducks. Definitely good for family outings, or even a cheap date.

This is a great urban style park. The landscaping looks great, the bridges and walkways are always in tact. I would appreciate a bit more of a nature walk, but there are other parks for that. I love the canal/ river running down the middle and the lighting. Its not too much or too little. There is a rec center and swimming pool located here as well, although I have never gone. There are usually a lot of kids around.

Such a huge, green fantastic park! Hills, a river with ducks, places to have a fire, grills for cooking, pavilions. Well maintained. However , one suggestion. The city is wasting way to much money on water. The sprinklers are on constantly. The grass is often wet which defeats the purpose of having a blanket for a picnic. Plus the nets arent up for volleyball and we are well on our way to summer.

I love Murray park! I used to do parkour there and play games with my friends, Ive gone to see shows at their theater, I love the little Shop that sells food and ice cream! Its a gorgeous park with tons of space to do anything your heart desires. I have many great memories at this park now go make some of your own!! (:

This is a decent park. My son played a state rugby playoff game here. The fields are nice and long. The bathrooms were not open which was a big inconvience to all the families and teammates that had to travel to this venue. We had to walk quite a ways to use a rec center. There were also no picnic tables to use.

I enjoy Murray Park it has out door work out,great play grounds,beautiful gardens. Many covered pavilions that can be reserved in advance.It also has baseball diamonds volleyball courts,and Little Cottonwood creek offers fishing, plus a big pond There is a food shack that offers drinks and burgers,fries and more.

A lovely park with a playground, lots of grass, shade trees, and a stream that runs through. I see people doing family pictures, receptions, and other family gatherings frequently. There are pavilions within as well as an amphitheatre and baseball diamond. Nearby there is a pool, ice rink, and places to eat.

Im Bored

This was a nice park, it had lots of space, and was very clean. The only problem I had with this park was that there was no map. It took us 15 minutes to find pavilion 4 because it was on the other side told the park. They should have a sign that says"pavilions 4-6 are on the other side. Please go around".

Nice park to enjoy your evenings. There is a soccer field, a couple of baseball fields and also a lot of ducks around the creek. I have seen people have their kids photo shoot as the park is lush green with a creek flowing through it. Also, this place is good to take your dog for a stroll or run.

Huge park in the middle of Murray. Pavilion rentals available online. Plenty of parking. Rec center next door. Plenty of mature trees and grass. Good place for large gatherings. Book in advance. Ive taken engagement and family photos here a few times and there is a good variety of landscapes.

One of my favorite places to have a picnic with my wife. The local resterants make it easy. It may not seem much at first but this park is bigger on the inside. Its little groves and crannies allow for an adventurous person like me to have new experience with everyone visit.

Park is nicely wooded with plenty of space to have large gatherings. The parking could be better and the different entrances could be more clearly marked. A large map showing you where everything is would be nice because its hard to find the different pavilions.

Murray park is huge! There are beautiful gardens, a great jogging path, (where you will find me and my dog running most evenings) a great pool, tons of pavilions and playgrounds, and even a farmers market on Friday and Saturday during most of the summer.

Fun place to walk around and theres also a lot of historical things to see here. Also if you are a Pokemon Go player, this is a great place to go to catch Pokemon... There are plenty of Pokestops to hit while youre walking around catching Pokemon!
