Located in the Galleria area, the Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park is a great place to relax, people watch, and enjoy the scenery. Because of how its situated between buildings there is an ample amount of shade in the mornings and late afternoons, but there are also trees to provide cover from the sun in the middle of the day. The Waterwall itself provides great photo opportunities for out of town visitors as well as locals. Sometimes there are even people taking professional photos for engagements, weddings, and other special occasions. Parking is plentiful around the park as well as covered parking in the nearby Galleria parking garage. There arent swings or slides for kids like youd find in a normal park, but there is plenty of open space for other park activities and even picnicking.

I have been visiting Houston for many years. This was my first time actually stopping and checking out the water wall. It was a great adventure. It totally helped that the weather was perfect. The view is breath taking with giant wall with pouring water and a gigantic skyscraper. Both played a mind trick. standing in the middle of the semi circle of the waterwall and looking up would give a bit of a feeling like you are falling. Turning around and facing the skyscraper and looking up to the top with the clouds rolling past also gives a dizzy feeling. Pro tip pack as many of you into a car and park in the Galleria parking garage to get more to view for the buck as parking in houston is never too affordable.

Very nice little area! People are always taking pictures here so you gotta really take advantage of the little free space youll find, to take pictures of your own. Always clean and neat. The fountain is not always on during daytime or night. But its a nice sound all around when it is. The water wall is a very cool piece of art itself. Lots of trees and lots of shade. Always nice sun light for pictures. You can have some good break time here to play some football, frisbee, eat a good meal etc. Parking garage is right in front, it is the galleria parking garage, its better to park there, and cheaper. Nice little walk ways too. Lots of birthday, wedding, event photography is taken here, very good spot.

Sometimes its hard to get the background perfect when taking shots at this picturesque spot. Still a must see. This is as memorable as it was when we came when I was little. The waterfall can be noisy and the spray can carry over a bit on to you at times. Very much worth it to enjoy the draw of this attraction. Nice to enjoy alone. Better to enjoy with someone. Makes for great conversation or peaceful reflection. Like enjoying a waterfall in the city without being on the river... In the heart of the Galleria, it offers a step away from the bustle of Houstons largest shopping mall. One of the best places in the city to visit...

This is exactly what we were looking for. Something quick and quite to pass some time while in Houston. Parking was close and for less than 30 minutes it was $3.00. We walked the the tree lined park and then took a picture by the water. We continued our walk and left before the parking rate doubled for the 30 minute to hour period. I assume that when the weather is nicer or on the weekends that it isore crowded but on a Thursday afternoon there was only 4 other groups or 2 to 3 people.

Bring a camera and a picnic on a humid sunny day to enjoy the view. The Waterwall is one of my favorite places to bring out of town guests. The impressive wall makes for a good Photo Op and the lush green grass is perfect for putting down a blanket and enjoying a sandwich. Theres also a Pokemon Gym here and the nearby Williams Tower is a Pokestop! Tip: Park in the Galleria parking garage around the corner and walk here!

The Water Wall is a must see on the Houston sights, phenomenal. It was beyond my expectations, do not come with any preconceived notions be totally open and the experience will engulf you. The wall is 64ft high and yet you don’t feel tiny in comparison; it seems as if you grow when you stand there in awe. This is definitely a place to go to relax, reflect and be encompassed into this Shangri-La of bliss.

This is an awesome park. Ive never been to a park like this before. There is a 30 foot semi-circle of stone with a man made waterfall running down both sides. Last time I was there I saw someone getting engaged, and thats a great spot to do it! But be careful as you will get wet here due to the spray of the water. There is also about 150 yards of green space that is great for kids, pets, and picnics.

Been here 5+ times since moving to Houston July 2016. Really cool place to spend a half hour. Especially pretty at night, though you cant go wrong any time of day. Seems very typical Houston: giant pretty fountain for really no reason other than some rich dude commissioning it. Pro Tip: park in the galleria garages. They are close by and free whereas there is a charge for the waterwall garage.

A very large waterwall near the Galleria area. There is a small park next to it as well. Worth spending 15 minites for just the wall and maybe a picnic in the park. The only complaint is that there is little parking in the area. The only real place to park is the Galleria mall which depending on the day can be a nightmare. Overall a fun place to bring the family and take a few pictures.

We finally took the kids to see the Water Wall. We moved to Houston about 4 years ago and are re-kindling our love of this city by seeing all the tourist type stuff. This is a MUST see. If youre in the Galleria area, for anything, a quick stop is worth it. Its this little oasis of quiet zen in the middle of one of our busiest shopping areas and it makes it kind of magical.

Fotografías tomadas a las 7 de la noche. El efecto del agua que cae en la pared es imponente. La sensación que produce al ver la pared es como si estuviéremos subiendo en un ascensor

There was a bit of a crowd near the Waterwall itself but the park was nice. I fully understand why it is said to be a good area for photography but if you have the option you might want to try going during the week when its likely less busy. It is a dog friendly park so bring your pup (they will have to stay on a leash) and a picnic and relax under the trees.

This was a great experience to visit. It was quite a majestic structure. With it being too near 70 degrees outside, it was a bit cold. This was well worth the visit. Made for some pretty memorable family pictures. It is just a great way to get away from the rustle and bustle of the city, then get right back to shopping two blocks away...he he he ;)

Some of you may look at this as just a waterwall, but I find this to a great spot to just chill. A beautiful park to relax from all the stressful shopping at the galleria. If you happen to be at the Galleria, talk a stroll over to the waterwall to release your stress before you hit the road. Great place to snap some photos! **Woooosha!**
