Went to see The Heat tonight. During the previews it appeared as though the screen was off. The screen seemed to be set in widescreen, while all the previews seemed to be set in full screen. We let it go in hopes that the screen would change once the movie began. As the opening credits ran, names were being cut off. We decided to let someone know. Two employees came in and watched the movie for a few minutes. After they left, the issues continued. During one scene, a talking characters eyes were completely cut off. All you could see of his face was his mouth. We complained again. As the movie continued, Sandra Bullock made several hand gestures above her head, all of which were cut off. Heads were still being cut in half. We complained again. An employee that seemed to be in a managment position came in, and they stopped the movie to run a screen test. The employee told everyone that the movie was fine, and that the screen was not off. We explained that half of the names in opening credits had been cut off, and that heads were being cut on half. She told us that the movie was made that way because Melissa Mcarthy is so short. We felt stupid for even trying to explain the predicament. I have a hard time believing that the producers of The Heat would purposely make the opening credits with names half cut off. To the employees: to prove that the screen is not off, go watch the opening credits.

Today after i got done shopping at the mall, and bought a brand-new laptop and a few games at gamestop. I decided to go to a movie,(batman v superman) went and bought my tickets and went back to do some more shopping. Came back to the theater to go see my movie, but apparently if your dark skin or even somewhat dark skin, and you have shopping bags, your automatically branded a terrorist.Well according to CineMark employees. Thats what one of the managers pretty much told me tonight. the movie was coming to an end, and some people walk out, cause they felt uncomfortable with me sitting there and having shopping bags with me, thats literally what the manager told me. He said they where afraid cause of the shootings and such. Now i understand their concern and i apologize if i made them uneasy, but are we really going to let fear dictate our actions or how we treat others? Well according to Sin er Mark, we are. The typo was on purpose btw, i am never going there again and i suggest you dont either, dont support such a racist and facist corporation. I am a former army field medic, and i am ashamed of what our country has become and of what this businesses are doing with the sacrifice of our brothers and sisters in arm. we need to boycott places like this and let them know enough is enough. dont late hate or fear dictate your actions.

Went to see 13 Hours with my Veteran father two weeks ago. We were being harassed by an off duty manager named Jeff before the movie. So we moved out of the seats he blocked out purposely so nobody can sit next to him and his party. After we moved to our seats (one row up) everything was fine. Jeff the manager wouldnt stop. The entire theater herd him harass me and my Veteran father. After the movie, other patrons that were near us filed a complaint on Jeff. Turns out the other complaint was from a Navy Vet and she called the police to the matter. I basically was told by the GM that Jeff was having a bad day off, and hes a talented manager. The gm offered me free tickets... i dont want free tickets. The GM disregarded the harassment and negligence of there current assistant manager Jeff but they offered free tickets . All my military family/families or the great people of Davis County, Management at this cinema is horrible. Go to AMC or Megaplex to view movies. Vets or current military, do not go to Tinseltown, we are not welcome here. Under this management, its not a safe place for military members and families. I know this because how they treated me. Please read this review and pass on Tinseltown. I dont want the same thing that happened to us, happen to you.

The seats are too small. They need to be about 4-6" wider. Before I wasnt bothered by the seats because they were not tight. But, since my wifes stroke we both ended on diabetic and put some weight due to stress, old age, other injuries, lack of exercise due to other injuries and eating binges the arms on the seats dig into our hips/sides the whole time making it uncomfortable to set in them. Layton AMC movies have the best seats. Layton AMC movies and Syracuse Six theaters give you a free soda refill when you buy the large refillable popcorn bucket/bag. Layton Tinseltown 16 was going to do that starting this past January but, decided against it. Layton Tinseltown 16 has the best prices for senior citizens on Tuesdays than the others and their concession prices is Lower than Layton AMC with Syracuse Six having the overall lowest concession prices. Layton AMC has the highest ticket prices. All 3 theaters show great movies. It would be nice if Layton Tinseltown 16 entrance was in the middle so it wouldnt be so hard for some of us senior citizens to walk to the theaters to the South, wider seats and refillable drinks. The staff at all 3 theaters have been great to us and helpful.

I love this theater! The luxury loungers have spoiled me for most other theaters on the Wasatch front. On top of that the staff here has always been great, they have high energy and are super helpful. Ive seen the restrooms in some of the states some other reviewers mention but for me its always been on a Friday and Saturday evening when traffic inside the building is high, and even then Ive seen attendants doing their best to clean. I dont blame them for having trouble keeping up with that many people using the restrooms at once. The other problem on weekends is parking, they have a decent sized lot but it still fills up, luckily the mall has plenty of parking which is close enough to use. As a side story, there was one occasion when I was bringing my disabled mother who has partial blindness to see a movie. We didnt make it before the lights were mostly dimmed for the previews so an employee raised them enough for us to help get her to her seat. I was thrilled that they did that for us.

Ive gone to this theater my whole life and have loved it. So why one star? Because My wife and I went to see a movie and got into the theater room as they were still cleaning the seats with all the lights on. When we pulled down our seats to sit down they were COVERED in stains and black streaks of who knows what! We checked the whole row, same. We even went to the handicap seating and it was still horrible!! We got our refund and walked out. Ive been sitting in this stuff for who knows how long! The worst part is if we had walked in two minutes earlier we would have never known because of the dim lighting. We dont want to be sitting (as well as resting our heads) in puke, pop, or popcorn stains with who knows what else on those seats. AMC across the street may be more expensive, but at least you get clean seats!
