I live exactly 1 hour from ipic. So this is not a normal venture most would take and normally just hit up their local AMC or Harkins. I used to come here since opening day because of the bargain you get! Movies cost about $17ish which seems high...but then factor in 21 and over only PERIOD!! (huge plus in my book as I cant stand disrespectful parents that bring toddlers and infants to 9pm rated R showings), comfortable reclining seats, food and drink service, AMAZING ALE BATTERED TENDERS (which was the leveraging factor for why I made the trip and it was worth it everytime, and I came here very often), then FREE popcorn which normally would cost you $6-$8 elseware, subtract that from the admission price and you got a normal theater admission but get all these premium features for free! However...to my major disappointment, they stopped making the ale battered chicken tenders a few years back, and I stopped making the drive because of it as their other food was just way to "snobbish" and over designed, so not as good (my wife still loves the filet trio to death). So it wasnt worth the drive out anymore, so I stopped going circa 2014/15ish. The beginning of this year I decided to try it again as I saw they added "buttermilk battered chicken" and prayed they brought back the ale battered tenders. I tried it and it was decent but not great like the ale battered ones. I asked the chef about the ale battered tenders and he said he remembered how to cook them and made them for me!!!!! They were exactly it and tasted AMAZING!!! I was beside myself for this extra mile the chef took for me. I have been returning ever since more frequently. Sometimes a chef is there that remembers the recipe and makes it for me.......sometimes nobody knows it and I get stuck with the tasteless buttermilk tenders. But for them giving me this gamble atleast and sometimes I get the ale battered chicken is enough for me to keep coming back. My only 2 requests are having a call button at out seats as its hit and miss sometimes with the waiters, and the second is bringing back the ale battered chicken or atleast having the recipe written down in back for people like me so anyone can make it! Seriously...there is a whole blog with over 60 people upset at the removal of this dish and are envious of me when I get it as they never get there when a "older" chef is there that remembers the recipe. I am going to make this suggestion in person next trip as well and hopefully someone helps!

Update: Someone responded to this review, but when you contact the email that they request you reach out to, you also receive no response. Please do not support this dishonest establishment. I received two $50 gift cards for Christmas, and excitedly waited for a good opportunity to exercise them. When that finally came- I first had the displeasure of discovering that I couldnt purchase my tickets with the gift cards. It was $54 for two tickets, and you cant purchase tickets online partially with a gift card and partially with a credit card. Alright, I thought, not that big a deal- itll just give myself and my girlfriend an excuse to go nuts with the food and drinks. Unfortunately, the establishment did the extremely shady practice of demanding a credit card along with my gift cards when we sat down in the theater. I asked the server to charge the gift cards first (as should be the obvious practice), and they said they would- and when they returned the cards, the server said "I only charged your credit card a penny, and theres a few bucks left on one of the gift cards" (I figure they did this so I could tip, which I did) lo and behold, when we got home we discovered another $50 charge on the credit card. It seemed like an honest mistake, but when we contacted the manager (Joel Knight), we got the runaround of "speaking to the account manager" for over three weeks, and then radio silence. This is after explaining everything very clearly and welcoming the opportunity for them to correct what might have been an honest mistake, with several requests for updates (after a few days each time. not like I was nagging, I know how things work and things can take time). So it seems like this could be encouraged behavior when they get gift cards, in order to scam people out of more $$. Please do not give this establishment your cash. There are lots of better, more honest places to spend your date night monies.

To start off, I never leave reviews but I feel like something needs to be said. Especially factoring in the previous reviews because theyre pretty air tight. Took my girlfriend out for a movie date last night. We ordered both drinks and food as the movie was starting. Took about 20+ mins for the drinks to finally come out and the food didnt even end up showing. Just about 75% of the movie had passed and my girlfriend started getting upset wondering where the food was. I finally grew tired of waiting, walked out, and cancelled the ordered. Not to forget, what we ordered were very lightweight items on the menu so theres no excuses for this one. 54$ for 2 premium seats. No drinks under 10$. All food items 15$ & over. Basically, its going to cost you for a nice movie date here. That I have no problem with but for the cost, the service just isnt up to par. Ive had better experiences at AMC, no BS. Only thing that kept me from leaving a 1 star review was the server apologizing and throwing my girlfriend a free desert in hopes of remedying the situation. Cant turn a blind eye to kindness. To the server, thanks again my man no hard feelings. Ill close this out by saying Im far from a hard ass and probably one of the most patient people youll ever meet. Could call me a rude name to my face and Id probably laugh, make a joke out of it, & fist pump you lol. However, Im not made of money & cant do these type of dates every day. As any man, when I try to do something nice for the girlfriend to show appreciation I want the night to run smoothly. Maybe it was an off night for them I dont know but I wasnt sold by a long shot. Place was nice looking on the inside and clean Ill at least give it that.

Hubby and I have been coming here since it opened 5 or so years ago. Then the orange micro fiber seats were clean, the sinks in all the bathrooms worked, there were plush hotel style paper hand towels in the restrooms and really deserved the wow factor rating. Since then the prices have increases by at least $10 a ticket, the orange seats are brown, stained with food and human debris, there is always at least one sink out of service in the restroom with cheap gray paper for hand washing. Rarely does anyone answer the phone. The seat design was doomed from the beginning with orange microfiber for a place expecting to house humans eating in the dark. A brown leather or black replacement should have been included in a remodel years ago. The blankets are probably a mucinex commercial of germs. Theres no way they are washed between viewers. Yet..we still go. Hence 2 stars vs. 1. Why? Because its only 1 of 3 reserved seating/dine in theatres in the valley where you can sit in a 2 seat section without getting kicked by teenagers or have pop corn thrown at you. Hubby also loves the buffalo chicken spring rolls and I the old fashioneds. So, we put up with the overpriced germy dirty seat fabric and hope one day Ipic returns to the 5 star establishment it started out as or well have to start going to Amc and harkins reserved seating theatres more regularly and just bring our own clean blankets. Come on Ipic. Reinvest in quality and hygiene. Please.
