This park is huge! Its surrounded by a lake that attracts those with small sailboats, but dont expect to swim in the water because you cant. The park also has a swingset and a few playgrounds for infants and older children. Sport amenities include a 5 space tennis court, a softball park, newly redesigned and reconstructed walking trail, a pavilion with barbeque grills, plenty of tables around, 2 restrooms, plenty of ducks, and one full court basketball, which unfortunately get extremely packed. There is only two restrooms for males and females so prepare to stand in line during the summer or park events. Driving around opposite the main park, you will find additional amenities such as an indoor basketball court, which is reserved for groups, an outdoor swimming pool, a smaller playground appropriate for smaller ages, a small softball field, a half-court basketball, and additional parking. This area is nice if you are seeking something less packed than the main park and has a few tables with barbeque grills close by to keep a watch on your small ones.

This isnt the same Woodlawn Lake from when I was a kid...... if you grew up here in the 80s & 90s you know what an improvement it really is.... the playing fields, playgrounds and party facilities have all been renovated and updated, there is a beautiful paved walking track around the lake, which by the way you arent taking your life in your hands walking around in the early evening anymore. Kudos to SAPD for the heavy police presence and to the city and the neighborhood association for the great job with upkeep and maintenance. Check out the many examples of retro neighborhood architecture in the community party pavilions and bridges, especially the Josephine Tobin elevated street sign over the road leading into the lake/neighborhood area. Dont forget to bring some cracked corn to feed the beautiful, friendly ducks!

probably my fave park in sa! perfect for a walk or run around the lake or a quiet picnic. there are plenty of picnic tables and grills, a tennis court, basketball court, playground, and a pseudo workout area. lots of giant geese so be sure to guard your food if youre picnicking! parking in the lots is limited but there is ample street parking. you wont find any ugly scraggly trees here like there are at some of the other parks in town. lots of greenery and the lake in the backdrop makes for some gorgeous photo ops!

A great multi-neighborhood park that just keeps getting better and better. The mile and 1/3 walking track around the lake provides views of downtown, public art and the Shrine of the Little Flower. There are geese and several kinds of ducks as well as herons and in the winter, cormorants. The gym has free Wi-fi which you can pick up even outside the building. The pool is open longer than other municipal pools in the city. Adjacent to the park is a new creekway.

The park has a walking/jogging path and a play area for the kids. As well as a pavilion with lots of picnic benches. A tennis court and basketball court as well as a swimming pool. You can also exercise in the gym with Fitness in the Park during the summer. Its nice just to sit and relax and look out on the lake. The park has a wonderful Fourth of July celebration that ended with a good display of fireworks!

This place has great trails and picnic areas. It wasnt crowded and traffic was light. We really enjoys taking a casual ride around the lake. The loop isnt long so this isnt the place to crank out 10+ mile rides. There was plenty of shaded areas to cool down. Some people were making BBQ. There was some workout equipment but we didnt try it out. There is also a swimming pool. Parking was readily available.

I love this part because it has a lake and a playground for the kids and swing sets and a walk path and you can fish and there are tennis courts. There is countless things to do here. I just wish they had more swing sets. Ive been going here for a long time and I will continue to go here my kids love it and so do I. they also have a restroom. And there is two ice cream trucks usually there

Great park with a track all around for joggers, bikers, etc. Lake is nice and calming. Plenty of ducks and turtles and fishing available. Playground located on premises with a tennis court and basketball court. Just try to avoid being there late hours. Can be a bit unsafe nighttime. Police present during the day stopping speeders driving above 25 mph so be careful.

Had fun feeding the fducks and the huge slide was fun for the kiddos! They have an annual fourth of july fire works display that is a huge attraction and its central location makes it ideal for us. Recent renovations included a new beautiful bridge, landscaping, and a sculpture as well! Dont forget tye wide and well shaded well lit trail circling the lake!

Beautiful park, but I think i might spend more time standing in line, waiting on the ONE womens restroom they have, than actually enjoying the park. Who at SA Parks & Rec thought this would be a good idea? Who knows how much they spent revamping the park, & no one thought about sanitation? Sounds about right, San Antonio. Way to go.

Only good thing about this park is the lake and feeding the ducks. Often crowded. Always rude people, mouthy children, and not enough parking. The last time i was here a women raced down the wrong way parking entrance to Get the parking spot i was turning into. Threw her head back and laughed. Wow. I will stay clear of this park.

This park is really a hidden treasure in San Antonio! You need to see it for yourself. It really has a Cali vibe. Beautiful views of downtown with plenty of open space and a nice trail around the lake. People say its sketchy around here but what up and coming neighborhood isnt.

Its a clean park. Theres security when needed. Theres all kinds of events, the biggest are the 4th of July fireworks show. Theres free WiFi, a track to walk or run on,bbq pits and of course tables. There are many things you just have to go visit the park and see for yourself.

I love this place! It reminds me of Greenland in Seattle, WA. But I like woodlawn lake much better! Has a good playground, fishing, pool & the walking/running path is not too long or short plus it has outdoor covered exercise equipment, but wish all were in working order.
