This is a hidden gem on the Southside of San Antonio. There are multiple levels of walking trails from level 1 to 4. The trails are all wide enough for mountain bikes to pass hikers when needed. Lots and lots of shade...which is very welcome in this part of Texas. This was our first hike so we didnt bring quite enough water for the time we took. However, it is an awesome trail to just enjoy nature. There is a paddling trail and a place to put in. I sent this to my brother and for some reason the website says boating prohibited. We believe boating and paddle boats must mean two different things. So if paddling is your thing it seems to be a good spot...mountain biking would be great too. We intend to come back for sure.

The Natural Area has some fun bike trails and great river views. Great for dog walking! The Greenway is currently a 7+ miles 4 foot wide concrete hike and bike trail, with vicious switchbacks in the stretch between hwy 16 and Applewhite. I hope that they adjust these to make them more handicap and elderly accessible. I didnt give 5 stars because although there are plenty of fishing areas where people kill the wildlife, there is no place people are allowed to at least wade, but swim, including a beautiful, calm water swimming hole. A no brainer!

Safe and clean park with and untouched feel but obviously well cared for. Majority of trails are paved but some that venture down to the Medina River are natural soil. Trails are well marked making it easy to tell where and how far youve hiked. Several unique programs are scheduled over the course of the year that are educational for young and mature alike. Dont forget to bring water for the trail in the summer.

If you want to go for a good job or bike ride but do not want to fight the crowds of people, this is the place for you! I ride here just about every Sunday and it is amazing. The paved trails are marked and well kept, there are some challenging switchbacks though. The dirt trails are even better if! Plenty of trees around to block out the Texas sun. The long drive is well worth it.

This river is amazingly awesome its way cleaner than the San Antonio river! Its a bluish-grey, just amazing!! Took a dip in it and it has to be 10ft. or more deep! I let my dog jump in she loved it! definitely recommend this park. The water taste good too all though it was risk. I was really thirsty so I caved... Its good to swim. The currents are somewhat strong so caution is advised.

Love the early morning bike rides when its still dark. Still beware of your sourounding as the wildlife is still active early morning. I came across some hogs and they did charge, luckily I knew what to do. And runners, please dont have the volume on your headphones up high. You need to hear and see whats going on around you just incase. I love them trails and I go there a lot...

This is a fantastic park. Its huge and it has something for everyone: pets, kids and adults. They have trails that range from wheelchair/stroller accessible to unimproved rough trails. If youre near San Antonio stop by

Great place to walk and ride, and do some fishing, plenty of shade on the trails. Has a huge reservation picnic area with shade for gatherings, and has several gatherings to learn about birds and other things.

Good place a short hike or a long one if you choose. The best parts were in the trail in front for hiking. I wouldnt recommend the rest since its all paved and mostly open sun. Good trail for biking though.

Beautiful place! Restrooms at this entrance. Be aware that paved trail will go from level 1 to level 3 and back several time over the length of the trail. Some of the switchbacks are very steep.

Awesome park. Quiet, with soft dirt trails. Fishing isnt good, but the serenity of walking this park makes up for it.
