This AMC is great. Parking is plentiful and the theater is located right next to a mall; walk out of the JCPenney and go toward Bar Louie, a set of stairs will lead you to the front. The theater is also within walking distance of the Wheaton metro station. This AMC has a small bar, but Id only go there for a quick drink before catching a flick; theres a Bar Louie above, as I mentioned before. There are nine screens in this theater. The screens themselves are small, and the reclining seats (which, I digress, are pretty comfy) are not on a considerable slope. With this being said, dont be let down by its size, the sound is just as boisterous as their bigger counterparts (Like the Regal over at Downtown Silver Spring.) Considering the small screen size and rather flat incline of the seating arrangement, I definitely suggest that you select/reserve seats closer to the screen to get the best view of your movie; Its like a budget IMAX up at the front row. Frankly, Id take this place over the one down at Downtown Silver Spring. I would miss all the bustle over there, though.

I see *a lot* of movies each year. AMC Wheaton is a relatively recent find that I treasure. Its not just that the chairs are so comfortable, and they are, its that the staff are human beings with personalities, and they will get you where you are going, quickly. If theresa benefit to the Stubs membership youve forgotten, they will remind you. And at this one, there is a wet bar. The staff are friendly, kind, but serious -- you dont get booze without ID no matter how well they know you. Its the right kind of controls to make sure this iteration of this location is a lasting one. I prefer this over Regal Silver Spring, at which I have well over 60k points, fwiw.

Reserved seating, reclined seating and probably the best theater in the dc metro region. While it is one of the smaller theaters you cant beat the lower pricing for matinee and standard times. Just know that lower price does mean higher concession prices, which does not bother me since all of the concession seem to be more flavorful than the other options at theaters in the region. Only real issue AMC, should have considered making this a 12-16 screen theater, but I understand why they didnt because it would directly compete with the downtown Silver Spring theater.

Entire staff needs to be re trained. A majority of the associates dont offer or even know about the rewards program. And those who do arent familiar with how to complete the transaction without using your saved up points. Every time I go there I have to explain to them how to use my stubs card. I am a premiere member but at the Wheaton location that doesnt seem to matter because they give everyone the same treatment. The staff needs to be retrained with a focus on stubs cards and premiere membership

I have been to this theatre several times and it has been a nice experience. The seats are comfortable and the staff is pleasant and friendly. I am thankful that there is reserved seating for two reasons: the previews seem to always be at least 15 to 20 minutes long and the previews are very loud. The volume goes down when the movie begins. So if volume is a difficulty I have the option of going in after the start time and not be concerned with finding a seat.

Wow, Im now into minute 25 of previews and its so loud Im afraid Im going to damage my hearing even with earplugs in. In addition, the smallest popcorn available is an $8 regular. Oh, and the ladies room has a passage too narrow for a medium-sized or larger wheelchair user to pass through. It feels like AMC wants to put themselves out of business at this location.

Just opened weeks ago. Really clean so far, spotless bathroom, seats dont have any left over food all over the place and the ground isnt sticky. There is a bar for folks over 21 and this theater has reserved seating. Located behind the LA fitness and there is plenty of parking in the front. Best theater in the area so far if you dont want to pay a premium

On my most recent visit the lights did not go all the way down in theater 2 - it was really distracting! Manager said it was for safety but I did not experience that problem the last time I saw a movie there. Maybe theater 2 is a problem, maybe because we were in back row. This will not be my first choice theatre, I prefer the amc powder mill.

My family and I love this theatre. Its across the street from our home and our go to spot for us to watch movies now. The seating is great and the rewards with the Stubbs membership are WAY better than the rewards program at other nearby theaters. The staff is young and a bit inattentive at times, but still love the theater.

This movie theater is less than a year old, so everything is brand new. The seats are big and so comfortable - you can recline them all the way back and it almost feels like youre in a small bed. I really like that you get to pick your seats when buying your tickets. The staff has been friendly the few times Ive been there.

A beautiful new theater. The chairs are amazing. Almost too good. Comfortable enough to fall asleep in. The major drawback is the lines. Very long waits for both tickets and snacks. May be due to them being new and still working things out. Will definitely return though.

I love the reclining seats, and assigned seating, cheap movies for early birds and the location. Just wish the sound from adjacent theaters didnt bleed over so much, but hey nothings perfect

The manager was so rude her name was denise shes the manager ...i give her my amc stub but ignore it when i ask if she can swipe it she said no more!!!!!manager is not good!!!!!!!!!

Great theater! Reserved seats are a nice feature! They are wide and recline! There is a little mini-bar for mixed drinks. The staff is nice!
