Unfortunately, we will never know what kind of experience we would have had at Bowl and Barrel because I could not get anyone to return a call or even send an email. I tried requesting an email with information back in October of this year for our work outing. We have 22 people ready to go! I never got an email so I called a couple of weeks ago and left a message for an event coordinator since the size of our group is large. The next day she returned my call and asked for my email so she could send information, never asking if I had questions. After I didnt receive an email, I called again and a rep said she would make sure the coordinator had the correct email address. The next day I called Bowl and Barrel again but the coordinator was not working. I asked for a manager to hopefully get some assistance (after all, we just wanted to schedule a team outing to go bowling), but was told all the managers were in a conference call, and that I would receive a call back. Here we are, 4 days later and still no contact whatsoever from anyone at Bowl and Barrel. Im so disappointed because we were so excited to try this new place, but I must give up and we will go to our usual bowling spot.

I usually dont leave reviews, but Bowl & Barrel definitely deserves one. It is a bar first and foremost where bowling is secondary. Like a previous review I have never seen bowling pins on strings...you have a chance at a strike hitting any pin. You pay by 30 minute sessions and can continue as much as you want...our lane malfunctioned at least 10 minutes per 30 minute session, so 20 minutes of down time for the hour for my family. Now, the grips/stickiness on the lanes/shoes is ridiculous...which in concert with previous reviews establishes the dry lane theory. Its like bowling on a freshly lacquered basketball court. Finally, the staff just seems confused here is an example "I see you guys tore that pretzel up." Yea because you didnt provide us with any utensils to actually cut it properly i.e. a knife. To put it in perspective...at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon, we were the only ones bowling. Overall, if you want to get a liter of beer and watch people struggle to bowl...cool place and good atmosphere. Just dont expect to break 100.

If you want a real bowling experience DO NOT STEP FOOT INTO THIS BUILDING!!!!! This place is a bar not a bowling alley what so ever. A few friends and I like to go bowling on the weekends and we decided to try a different spot this time. So we drove almost 30 minutes coming from the NE side (converse) but it was not worth the drive or my money. The drinks and bowling were both way over priced to have such a horrible time. The bowling lanes are the worst lanes I have ever bowled on in my life!!!! Lanes were poorly waxed and seemed very dry. If you bowl with a curve then good luck. Also the pins are on strings!!!! Never in my life have I ever seen such a thing.. I will stick to the bowling alley on Thousand Oaks for now on. I always have a great time there.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I was in a group of 6 and on the 10th frame, I was the last person to bowl, they shut the game off and didnt let me finish my turn!! I was about to complete at 200 point game!! MY PERSONAL RECORD!! This is crappy business. FIRST, we had a lane that had technical issues and took them 1 hour to finally move us to a different lane. Then they had the audacity to ask if we wanted to extend our time at our regularly scheduled end time. I told the lady that it wasnt right that the lane we originally had broke down and she said "oh yeah thats right" AND THEN they only gave us an additional 25 minutes! Terrible customer service! They dont care about the people!! If I could give this zero stars then I definitely would!

Youll likely walk away from Bowl & Barrel feeling one of two ways: Either youre a better bowler than you remember, or that none of your usual techniques worked like they were supposed to at all. Ladies and gents, be warned — those pins are on strings! Bowling here is definitely a unique experience because it seems there is no regard for lane health, the lanes are shifty, and if you huck a ball hard enough, you might just tie the stringed pins in a knot (no really). I think theyre banking on the fact that youll be distracted by the drinks and food — both of which are way too good for a bowling alley.

The atmosphere was nice and food was very good, however, the wait staff was very slow and our pizza order got lost in the kitchen. If you are a good bowler, you will probably not like the pricey cost to bowl or the action of the pins, which are on strings to reset. Sometimes they dont set quite right and sometimes the machine doesnt count the puns right for the second ball. This place is for bowling like Top Golf is for golfing, pricey and not quite like the real thing, still quite fun though. I like the atmosphere and hope the wait staff improves, I will come back to give it another try.

Bad customer service when I tried to take my family. The front desk told me they were full so my family and I waited for a lane and seating. 10 minutes later two individuals came and were given a lane because of a cancellation prior to my family. When I confronted the girl at the front about it she said someone cancelled so I gave it to them. I asked why not my family and she stated I did not know that you still wanted to bowl.

Very nice atmosphere, food service was slow and the pizza was burnt. The animation on the screens are extremely dated for how expensive this place is. They definitely skimped on getting quality software. It also takes forever to play the outrageous animations that are so high up on the screens you dont want to watch. I wouldnt go again. $100 to bowl for 2 hours, 2 shoe rentals and one pizza plus two waters.

We had a great time for our office team building at Bowl and Barrel. The service was exceptional, the food was great, and a great time was had by all. All the food was perfect for a group and we were all WELL fed at a reasonable price. We took advantage of the drink specials and that really made the whole outing cost friendly. Bottom line: Good Food, Great Atmosphere, Excellent Time.

This place was a big letdown. Horrible service and it wasnt even busy. Not once did anyone ask if we wanted food or drinks. For a Friday night it was empty expect for a party of 10 + they tried to put us next to even though there were open lanes away form the large group. Overall this place is

They refused to let us finish our game and all we had was 1 frame left....on Mothers day and I was willing to pay for an extra half hour!! If they werent going to extend our time they could have at least let us finish our last frame....wtf.... Terrible service in a mediocre bowling alley smh
