The course itself was in good condition, fairways well kept and greens were about the same (aside from golfers not repairing their ball marks). Pace of play was a little slow but to be expected on a Saturday afternoon (4.5 hrs). Course condition = 2 or 3. The course layout was not the best. Many holes have tee boxes next to the greens and were a bit boring. However, the raved 18th truly is the best hole on the course. Course layout = 1. That being said, the course condition makes up for the course layout. I paid $45 for 2 rounds which was a great deal. I wouldnt pay more then $30 for a round here in the future.

I really enjoy playing golf at Sleepy Hole Golf Course, my friends have talked about this course so I thought I would give it a try. Once I played this course I was hooked on playing every chance I got. The greens are in great shape and my favorite hole is # 6 trying to hit over the lake area. I found this course to be a challenge that will encourage you to come back for more, It is very serene and pleasantly quiet I would highly recommend giving this course a try. The price is a bit on the expensive side but I guess it is worth it.

Course was a good value when I played last month, very friendly pro shop! Front nine is more about position while the back nine is about power. Tough green complexes and be on the lookout for shots from other groups as it is a compact layout. The course has its quirks, but the 18th hole along the Nansemond River makes it worth the price of admission!

I played this course the other day. It is in great shape compared to just a year ago. The fairways are thick and not thin any more. The greens are nicely kept. I will definitely play there again this year. Thanks, Jeff

The course is in really good shape, the greens are smooth and cut for a decent speed. The layout is average, only a few great golf holes. But the pace was terrible.

Great course beware of making tee times not upfront with organizing tournament around regular tee times was put behind large tournament
