The venue is awesome, I love this place and we used to come every Wednesday for ladies night and enjoy sitting outside and listening to the live music. They have new owners and I am sad to say we dont come here anymore simply due to the poor service. The bartenders are extremely rude (the woman with the long black hair is the only nice one there) The guy that has tattoos ( I am tattooed so I dont mind his appearance, want to be clear on that) is HORRIBLE. You walk in and no one greets you, you stand at the bar and he either ignores you, continues on his phone, or stares at you with dead eyes until you finally just tell him your order because you assume thats what hes staring at you for.. once you order he will gladly roll his eyes while making the drink as if it is such a bother to him (uh, bro, its your job) then he will set it in front of you and turn around and walk away. You can certainly say thank you, however, he will not reply. I wouldnt write a review for one bad experience, everyone has bad days so my friends and I have come on several occasions because we really enjoyed the venue but the service is so poor that we have finally given up and will not return nor will we recommend anyone go to this place. This place could be wonderful again if you (bar owners) would listen to the reviews and make the changes needed. I strongly urge people to look at their yelp reviews as well... same experience with the terrible service. So sad.

We used Villa at Gruene for our rehearsal dinner. Jen and her team at Villa at Gruene were AMAZING- the staff was flexible, friendly and they helped us make the rehearsal dinner a special extension of our wedding! We ordered catering through them from Coopers BBQ, as well as the decor for the tables and the alcohol. Everything was affordable and unique and came together really nicely- the staff was so professional and let us make the venue our own! Whether you are using them for a rehearsal dinner, wedding reception, birthday or just going there for drinks, Id definitely recommend Villa at Gruene for business!

W e came for a private party that was being held in the upstairs room. plenty of room for 35 people with a nice patio. We were able to bring our own stuff for mimosas and the had the full cash bar down stairs. we really loved the feel of Villa at Gruene and have told our selves we will be coming back more often for happy hour and Saturday and Sunday drinks.

Great event venue for a wedding! Have your ceremony here on site and move your guests into the Grande Room for a fun and rustic reception! They also have daily specials, like LADIES NIGHT every Wednesday from 5 until 9pm, with live music and 1/2 off glasses of wine!
