We got married here 5 years ago, and just spent a night for our 5 year anniversary in the same suite. The only issue we had, and we had the same issue 5 years ago, was the water pressure in the 3rd floor suite. I believe that the nature of the structure, which is old. The flip side is that the suite is very charming, something you just dont get from even a high-end chain hotel. Well worth having to sit in the (very nice) shower an extra minute to get the shampoo out. ..... Keep in mind that this is a boutique hotel, not a chain hotel. That is a good thing. The staff is not made of of 100s of people working in a call center, and dozens at the location itself. They may actually have to put you on hold, or you may have to wait for the desk clerk to get off the phone to check in. On the other hand, they had no problem fulfilling the request to put us in the same room we had for our wedding night 5 years ago. Also, they had the 2 requested cribs in our 3rd-floor walk up before check in. That has never happened at a chain hotel, or on any of the cruises weve taken the kids on. I will take personalized service from a small company over a corporation any day of the week. ...... This is a wonderful place and highly recommended. At the current pricing, its also a steal for a couple of romantic nights.

Be sure to notice that the only bad reviews for this place are: "a tour", "an accounting error", and "hotel stay on night of someone elses wedding where drinking was involved". This is very important to understand, because Vintage Villas is the best ceremony+reception venue available in Austin, TX hands down. No question about it. With onsite lodging, your guests dont have to worry about driving after a night of celebrating. The prices are excellent, unmatched by any of the several other venues we looked at. The food is amazing, Im still getting compliments about it. The reception space is great, really big areas for band and chilling out area - along with outdoor area for cigar rollers and/or smoking. The ceremony site is breath-taking - the views are amazing even with the lake being drained low from the drought. People have been telling me non-stop that this is the greatest wedding theyve ever been to and everything was just perfect. The staff is incredible, they handle all the details and look out for you on the day-of. We were able to pull everything off without a hitch without a rehearsal due to good leadership/direction by the Vintage Villas staff. You will not find a better place to host your wedding/event, than here. Save yourself the time looking elsewhere!!!

We could not have been happier regarding our decision to use Vintage Villas as our wedding venue. The views of the lake from the wedding ceremony gazebo are absolutely stunning, the grounds are kept immaculately clean, the food is delicious (every vendor got excited when we told them where the reception was taking place), the onsite lodging is very convenient, and the employees are exceptionally easy to work with. Speaking of exceptional employees, our wedding coordinator was Samantha Botello, and she was an absolute privilege to work with. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order, handled special requests (like a projector at our rehearsal dinner) with ease, and imparted a sense of calm during a stressful time through her professionalism, competence, and extremely nice demeanor. If you go with Vintage Villas, you will not regret it, especially if you are lucky enough to work with Samantha!

Worse experience and customer service anyone could not ask for. The marketing manager should be fired immediately!! Booked a living social deal for my hardworking folks, who get one week a year to enjoy a vacation. And when we called to reserve the room they were booked up. Now they dont have a place to stay and are out a couple hundred dollars for 7-9 days, so they cant afford to go on vacation anymore. The lady on the phone refused to take any responsibility and offered one night when we booked for 2 towards the end of the week when they had to come back. This hotel ruined their hill country vacation experience and for that will get several more truthful bad reviews on every social platform available. Dont waste your time or money on this sorry piece of an establishment. Who ever owns this place is a scumbag obviously since they are making interest on our payment for nothing but stress and disappointment.

As a wedding planner, Ive had the pleasure of working with Vintage Villas on countless weddings over the last 4 years. In my experience, they have always gone above and beyond, making their couples wedding day relaxed and enjoyable. Their customer service and attentiveness truly set them apart from a lot of other venues. Whenever I have a need or a concern they are always right there in an instant, taking care of every situation and desire of our clients. From the front office staff to the banquet manager, Reza (who is AMAZING, by the way), I know that I can count on them to take care of us and our clients! And it doesnt hurt that their food is delicious! They have such a well trained and thorough banquet staff - much like (and often better) than weve experienced in high end hotels. I wouldnt hesitate to have an event here - wedding or corporate. You will be well taken care of!

They are in the business of cranking out as many weddings as possible. You are trying to set-up while another wedding is finishing, and while you are finishing up there is another wedding trying to get organized! Horrible. It is just far enough out of Austin, that it is a pain to go and see Austin if you have out of town guests. There arent any places to eat out towards the venue, so if you have guests there for multiple days they have to spend money on the horrible food at the villas. They wouldnt iron the table clothes, even though we paid extra for it. Then, they fed me gluten, and I have Celiacs Disease. I was not able to enjoy the reception because I was lying on the bathroom floor crying in pain. They wouldnt refund any money nor did they try to do anything to make the situation better. The biggest bunch of crooks EVER! Do not even waste your time going to look.

Holy moly. What a fabulous place to go visit! I found out that it had been running for more than 10 years. Here you transport yourself into an ambience that will blow you away. All their rooms have a last name on them in addition to the room number. Most room have incredible view of the lake and their gardens. This place is right next to Lake Travis and to get to it you drive this really neat and narrow curvy road to get to it; so thats even part of the fun of getting there. I found about this place on GroupOn, so I dont know if it is better to reserve that way or by phone or online. We will have to investigate what is the better deal. To be honest I wanted to stay there a whole week to get to know all of the great places Austin has to offer.
