The venue is very clean and well maintained on the inside. We had plenty of room and the facilities were all in great condition. The service, however, was the poorest I could have ever expected. I know we did not sign up for anything spectacular, but we could not even get a simple returned phone call. After leaving several voicemails and calling multiple times over a 3 week period we decided to call 2 days before the wedding on a different phone. Sharon answered on the 2nd ring. This shows how they were ignoring us. This was not the first time that it had taken a long period of time to get a response. My wife was trying her hardest to plan a wedding and we could not get a chance to meet and go into the venue due to not being able to speak with Sharon who runs it. The night of the wedding my wife was talked to very rudely demanding the cash payment for bartenders and they demanded an additional $90 more than the contract had specified, saying they were there past the agreed upon 5 1/2 hours...this was at 10:56 and our wedding started at 5:30. I still do not understand what she was talking about. While my wife was counting the money the bar tender pulled it from her hands and tried to count it herself. This was very upsetting for my wife and extremely rude on our wedding day. She was raising her voice and yelling at her to do the math herself. We all did and we also consulted the contract which had their hours of 5:30-11:00 in writing. We paid up but not the extra $90 demanded. Now we are waiting patiently to get our deposit back. I reached out to Sharon from a different phone number again so that I would get an answer 3 weeks after our wedding night. She said she knew she needed to write us a check but she didnt know if she could get to it that day and that we may have to wait 2 additional weeks because she was going on vacation the following week. This was early on a Friday, I dont know how long it takes her to write a check, but I am sure she had plenty of time that day. She ignored far too many phone calls and voicemails and now is taking her sweet time returning our deposit just because she wants to. I would have to say that unless this is your absolute last resort, you should probably stay away.

Can you say affordable, starting at just $75 per hour for meeting room, a small charge for setup and teardown. There are no hidden costs, what we budgeted was exactly what we spent . I just attended a meeting and wow, what a beautiful event venue. Fantastic state of the art sound and audio visual setup. The Hill Country Event Center had large windows, warm Austin stone fireplace and even a chandelier. I would highly recommend the center for any meeting or training sessions the space is versatile hosting spectacular weddings and parties. Can you say affordable, starting at just $75 / hour for our meeting room, a small charge for setup and teardown. We brought in our own food vendor, supplies (Flip Charts etc) and used the centers audio visual system. Their are no hidden costs, so what we budgeted was exactly what we spent.
