Let me first say that this wasnt a "one time experience" 1 star.... I have been to this place several times due to the proximity to my home. The only positive is the people that work the drink cart that rolls around while you play. The people are always friendly and relaxed but give great service and respect your space while playing. Other than the drink carts, I have NEVER had a positive customer service experience at this golf course. Its always something. The people behind the registers are ALWAYS rude and snotty. There are hardly any customers when I go in there and the cashier is either smoking in the back or talking with a "regular" almost every time. They act bratty when you actually want to spend some money because they have to put out their cigarette out or leave the "regular" alone for a minute to "help" you. The condition of the grass and sand traps is embarrassing. The grass either has a sloppy cut or is so spotty and patchy that is obstructs play. The sand traps are more like concrete traps. They are so dry that the ball doesnt even sink into them. It skids or sits on top of the sand. It is literally like hitting your ball off of the sidewalk. It is damaging to your clubs too. The driving range is in mediocre shape but there is a plethora of pebbles and rocks all through the DIRT that they expect you to use to tee up your driver. Also damaging to your clubs. The people that patrol the course on golf carts always have to nit pick you about something. I understand they are there to make sure the course is being respected. Much the same, I always respect the course I am playing on. But they always have to flex their muscles and let you know they are in charge and youre being watched by nit picking where you tee off, where you drive the cart (no Im not going anywhere near the greens), etc. It isnt very welcoming when every 15 mins someone drives by and is careful to watch your party play for extended periods. A few days ago I went to use the range and the girl at the counter gave me the biggest attitude like I completely ruined her day just for getting a bucket of balls. My message to her and most of their staff is that if you dont like your job, someone else will take it. And just today, I arrived at 6:31 to hit some balls at the driving range. I saw a gentleman just arrived before me. There was about an hour of daylight left. I walk into the pro shop and am greeted with "were closed". I explained that all I wanted was a small bucket of balls, a person just got here a minute before me, I live a few hundred yards down the street and go there often, and I wouldnt be more than 20 mins. His reply was "we have to close sometime" When I asked what time you close his reply was "GENERALLY, 6:30." So in other words you arent necessarily closed, you just dont want to sell me a bucket of balls. I practically begged him to let me hit a bucket as I would be gone much before the other gentleman that appeared to have a larger bucket. His response was "I have to close sometime" Youd think that during the slower summer months they would take any business they could get. I wasnt creating anymore work for him at all. All he has to do was take my money and let me play. No wonder they have been trying to sell this course for years. They are all miserable working there and they have no interest in making people feel welcome and want to come back. If it wasnt like 200 yards from my house I would avoid this place like the plague.

these guys are nuts! played on Friday with 7 players and told them we had 7 and would play best ball. they were running 15 minutes behind before we started. by the 3rd hole there was a back up by the 6th hole was told we need to split up. told they guy it was not us holding up the game it was ahead of us was we had to wait at each hole too. We even told the guy at the desk we had 7 and would not hold up. they guy said to split up or he would give us our money back. did not make any sense as if we did split it would hold the people behind up even more. so we played one more hole and Barney 5 came up and kicked us off and would not give money back!!!! Also found out my sister had challenges here too, not going back and letting my friends know too

The course is not usually too bad, though the staff is almost always a problem. Two stars is being generous. Its as if every time I go there the employees feel that they are more important than the customer. My uncle and myself have had to argue with staff on several occasions. Its disappointing that a course that is so near me, is one that I have to avoid so often. Luckily there are so many other options, with nice staff, and better courses. Though it may cost a bit more, its worth it to not have to start out frustrated with something other than my poor play. A note to the staff: Without customers, you are without a job. Even a slightly better attitude can go a long way in creating return business, and job security in the future.

My first time there was a good experience. I am new to golf and decided to tag along with my buddies. I shot a 92 which was told is pretty decent for a newbie! I agree with others about the sand traps, they seem like the dirt you would find along the baselines of a baseball field, not a sandy beach haha. The course rate was good and cart girl making her rounds was real friendly. All in all, I had a good time and will be back.

Nice course and always have the best time here. The staff has always been friendly to me and others I have brought to the course. Being on the short end, this is a fantastic place to work on your irons and short game. Grass and greens in decent shape and everyone from the front desk, to the ranger, to the beverage staff have always been a pleasure to deal with.

The tacos in the iron works basket are excellent..The salsa is fresh tasting. In the bar area for a casual meeting. Bartender took great care of us! Will be back to check out happy hour! Have golfed here before their summer rates are excellent!

This is one of the good courses I have seen. It has a good driving range, and putting green to warm up. Staff are very nice, prices are very cheap around 20$.You can borrow the clubs for free for the driving range.

Great affordable executive golf course. The first hole is the hardest with a long lake down the right side, but after that, the course makes you feel like a great golfer. (I suck at golf, so this course is great.)
