Went last night. The person that took our tickets was unbelievably rude. My twelve year old brother asked in a very nervous, jittery voice if he could skip the first attraction (Maze of Maniacs, on the website it says you can) and the person yelled at him "Yes, you can! Now go wait in the line!" I dont think this was his character, simply a surly man who was annoyed as his job. If it was simply his character, I imagine he would have said something along the lines of "Sure... but what waits inside is much, much worse!" My brother ended up not going through the house because of the entrance person. A star off for that. After the ordeal, my friend and I waited in line. They have some (very funny, I might add) actors there to entertain you. They also had a little sideshow up closer to the house where carnies entertained the crowd. They were there until 11:30 or so, most of the night. Unfortunately, the lines were crazy long. We ended up waiting for nearly 2.5 hours. When I went to Nightmare on the Bayou last year, I had to wait for no longer than 15 minutes for each haunt, and that was a week before Halloween. I believe this is because ScreamWorld advertises so much. Evidently, it works. The haunt itself was intense, but felt pretty short. Id say it took about 15 minutes for a walk through. The actors were great at what they did, and never once let up on us. The props were pretty good, but most of it was ruined because there was a group only about 15 seconds ahead of us. As for the names of the haunts and how they matched up, Edge of Darkness, sure, it was dark in there. Haunted Hotel... no. Not at all. Jakes Slaughterhouse, yep, right on. Ditto for the Zombie Graveyard. Some things between the different areas felt simply out of place, although it was entertaining experience overall. In conclusion, if you want a cheap haunt (22 dollars with coupon), ScreamWorld might do it for ya. Be prepared for lines though... Get there early or go on a Sunday, though Im not sure how much better that would make the lines.

i havent been to one of these in years and me and my boyfriend went last night. it was great, it lasted long enough for me. the maze preps you for the house, the strobe lights in the maze make it hard to tell if theres a fence between you and the zombies and half the time theres not lol! the actors were very very into what they were doing, and if youre a screamer they are going to focus on YOU! they come out of no where once youre in the house. doors will open you didnt even know where there. id say its probably best to go on a weekend later in the season cause theres no way they could staff that many people as they had last night the whole week, probably the cause of a few of the bad reviews (going on weekdays instead of the weekend). i cant say enough good things about it. i seriously recommend buying the fast past online and not buying tickets when you get there much cheaper and we only waited 5 minutes to get inside the door of the house! the line for regular tickets was crazy long. any way i read these reviews before i went and got kinda upset cause i thought it was gonna suck, but when it didnt i had to come and write my own review!

This was a fun place to go. We were worried that the people inside would pull us or grab us but the people working were just there to have a good time scaring you. The first place we entered was a "maze", it didnt look too scary but by the time we were a third of the way through, the strobe lights started making me unbalanced so I focused on where I was stepping and the zombies started popping out of every corner! I wont give too much away for the maze experience. The second place we entered was a haunted house. It looked old and creepy from the outside. We entered not knowing the gruesome images we were about to encounter. It was like living a nightmare. I had flashbacks of Freddy Kreuger horror scenes, it felt like there was no exit. I loved it. It was beyond what I expected from the zombies to the psychotic patients. I would definitely recommend this place to someone that wants to have a good time. This one is cash only!

I really enjoyed everything and it was a great idea to scare people while they were standing at the line! That way theyd never get bored! That was a good strategy guys. The only thing is that inside the haunted house was not that scary! I went with a friend who gets scared for everything! So at the beginning she got scared a little bit but then everything was the same. You could predict what was going to happen next so my suggestion is to create scarier scenes like a guy walking with his hands and feet like backwards and fast something kind of creepy i do not know how to explain but I hope you get the point. Anyway, excellent make up, amazing costumes, crazy zombies, very talented people and overall so organized. Congratulations! Ive been in different haunted houses in other countries and this has caught my total attention and has been for me the best one. It is so evident the effort you have put on it.

This is this first time I have EVER written a review Im 33 yrs old. This was WAYYY over priced. Our kids ages 12 have NEVER been to a haunted house and they didnt even get scared! And trust me they are big babies lol. It was ONLY ONE haunted house NOT 5!!! ALL the actors did was yell in your ear at the top of their lungs my son even cried cause it hurt it ears! There was not a single clown, jason, freddy, etc. ALL people with make up that I could do my self. Make up was horrible. The maze ONLY had TWO people that just looked at you and kept walking it wasnt even a maze!! We drove two hrs and out in LESS than 10 mins. Under the impression 5 attraction 10 mins a peice NOT!!! And out over 150.00. 5 dollar parking too. 35 dollars for 10 mins is a joke but thats Why we came here hoping to do 5:/ 10 mins a peice so have almost 1 HR of fun

Honestly, it wasnt that scary. People were packed into the attractions and you were literally stepping on the back of peoples feet while walking through. Also, when the people in front of you would scream, it took away the element of surprise so when the actors yelled or jumped at you, you were totally expecting it. The element of surprise was also taken away because there was literally no time between when one person would scream or run at you and the next person to do the exact same thing. Overall it was a complete joke, too many people, too many actors, not enough surprise, not enough terror. If you want something thats actually scary, go to the Kingwood Asylum, they actually got a scream or two out of me.

Honestly, Ive seen a lot of haunted houses being a Houston native. It was my husbands first time ever, so the anticipation was intense. We went on a Thursday to save a little money and although it was a little more expensive than I had planned, it didnt take away from the experience really. The line was actually my favorite part! The zombie was absolutely hilarious! The house was fun and definitely scary but I DO wish there was more attractions, more confusion and more surprise. The tunnel at the end was fun, maybe putting that inside along with similar special effects would be better! I tthink it lacked more story than I anticipates but overall it gets better every year!
