Two hours before my sons birthday party, they called to ask if Id like to reschedule due to inclement weather. When I checked the weather online there was a 0% chance of rain during my party time. I called back and let them know I would not like to cancel it. 1 hour before the party time they called me back and let me know that the water park was closed and I would have to reschedule. Not only was my son upset, but we were also out the money that we spent on food and cupcakes. Not to mention the time it takes to coordinate schedules with the invited guests. Their response on Facebook was that they have to take factors such as attendance, weather, and temperatures into consideration. In this case, Im certain it was a slow day and they just wanted to close up and go home. That shouldnt have been an option when they had a birthday party scheduled. I will not be rescheduling for fear that this could happen again.

Wanted to like this place. Wonderful slides, inner tube slides and good facility but 30 minutes into our trip to the childrens pool a child barfed in the pool and they told everyone out of the pool. Thats a necessary response. The kids pool was closed for two hours which seemed excessive to me, especially since that was half the attractions for my four-year old. Two hours into our stay they announced the entire park was closing a full five hours before their natural closing time. They would not tell us why but my guess is the department of health forced them to because of some issue. They refused to disclose why. Worse they refused to issue refunds to the families that had just arrived. Some people were justifiably pissed. We had been there a couple of hours so I figured we had gotten our moneys worth but I feel for the people that had just arrived. It was bonkers. Not sure I will go back.

Its 20-30 minutes from Overland Park but worth it. Its cleaner, cheaper ($5, +$2 for the wave rider), less crowded, and better staffed than any public pool in Johnson County, including the ones with >$1M homes. Its got zero-depth pools w/kiddie slides and rain buckets, "big-kid" slides, a wave-rider & boogie boards, a great snack bar with healthy & traditional snacks, well-trained, friendly lifeguards & staff, and best of all, shaded picnic tables with OUTLETS!!!! The low ratings tend to be based on racism ("Natives coming down from the trees"? Seriously?) or closings due to weather/health hazards (vomiting in a pool *does* require closure). Anyone who behaves even mildly inappropriately is asked to leave. Bottom line: All day, economical family fun.

Ive never reviewed anything on google before, but I thought this was necessary. I heard so many people tell me not to go here because its "ghetto". Couldnt be more wrong. The staff was awesome (one of them even helped me carry my coolers) the attractions were great, and it was clean. It was the perfect size for the birthday party of multiple aged kids, because you can pretty much sit in the middle and watch all of them. Its SO cheap too! $5 adult $4 kids. You can bring your own food too! I will definitely be making this a regular place for my family.

Drove over an hour and stood in line in 95 degree heat with 2 children for 25 mins only to be told due to some technical difficulties they wouldnt be opening and were not sure if they would open at all on a Friday afternoon.

Very clean, well staffed. When we went it was not crowded at all. The park was almost empty at 5 pm, would have been nice to stay longer if we could. Plenty for the kids to keep busy, we were just sunburned.

I had a great time here, even tho half of the park was closed down for maintenance the day I came. The food could be better. Priced kind of high for what you get. Other than that, this place is pretty cool.

The South Kansas city natives ruin this water park everytime they come down from the trees. Unless youre child has done a stint in prison, or is part of a gang. I dont recommend bringing them here.

“Wonderful small water park” Traveled to Kansas City in August of 2016 and had a few hours free so took two eleven year-olds to this water park. Staff was attentive and very friendly.

Nice water park, they have a couple larger slides, a wave rider surf machine, and a lazy river. At the end of the season they have a dog day where the dogs can play in the pools.

Very good facility. Great staff, awesome features, definitely a great place to bring the kids to swim and have fun. Free splash park out front for a cheaper option.

OMG the bay now yes I may be a lil of a drive but for the price staff and amazing aquatics center that they have it is so very worth it.

This place has a spray park and also a water park for the older crowd with 3 different water slides great place for a family outing
