True desert style course. Fairways are well groomed and, depending on rain levels, run from very lush to somewhat dry and patchy. No rough to speak off; if you cant hit the fairway off the tee, you are in the desert. 27 holes and very challenging for moderate golfers and above. I do not recommend for a beginner as the unforgiving nature of the layout will be extremely frustrating (probably accounts for the single star rating below). If you struggle to break 100, this may not be the course for you. Greens are very well maintained, cut short, and challenging. Stimpmeter readings would probably be at the upper end recommended by the USGA (7-8 range). Noticed the complaint about the sand traps but they are currently in a full scale renovation of all of the traps and the ones that are complete are outstanding. Course layout is spacious and pace of play has been good to very good every time Ive played. Course marshals are used on busy days to police up slow groups. You will have the opportunity to use every club in your bag on most rounds. Clubhouse is spacious and well appointed and the food at the grill is quite good and reasonably priced. Scenery is spectacular on clear days with unobstructed views of the Franklin mountains from every hole. Overall, a fairly good course and an outstanding value if you book online at least 72 hours out.

Golf course is poorly managed. Sent a group of 5 people out ahead of a threesome and twosome. The guy that was running the pro shop seemed agitated and told us we needed to be on the tee box before 10:30 (our tee time) and we ended up sitting and waiting until 10:40. Ended up having to sit and wait at each hole for the group of 5 to finish. For as short as the course is it shouldnt have taken 2hrs and 45 mins to play 9 holes. When we went out into the back 9 we played through in less than 2 hours because no one was ahead of us. We stopped in to grab lunch and it took 15 mins in line before our order was taken and when I went to order the two cooks and lady taking orders were yelling at each other because they gave the wrong food to someone. They completely ignores everyone else in line just to tell at each other. Very disappointed and will never return . If you want to play a course that knows how to operate go play NMSU or Red Hawk.

I Gave This Place 5 stars due to the service, quality of the course, and price. Ive golfed a few times in El Paso, and this is by far the best course In El Paso. The Fairways And Greens Are Excellent. Cool Thing About This Course Is That Its A 27 Hole Complex With North East And West Sides Of The Course Each With 9 Holes. So When You Go You Are Never Golfing The Same Set Of 18. Every Cart Also Has GPS In It Last Thing The Person Who Said The Staff Is Rude Is An Idiot. But This Is A Great Course GO Here!!!

The greens are 365 days in great condition, the fairways are challenging, but good shots are rewarded. Play your adequate tee boxes, otherwise it will get more difficult and will hurt your scorecard. Say HI to Anthony, the manager, great chap. Pro shop has cool gear, and you can buy clubs by order. The breakfast burritos are to die for and yuuuuge!!!! (get egg & bacon) Oh yea, this is about golf...the range, its ok, but as long as there is a surface for warmup that is great for me.

This course has 3 separate 9s. The staff and prices were great. The fairways were patchy and the bunkers contained coarse, rocky sand. If you want to play desert golf, with good prices, then I recommend this course.
