Lied about green fees. Called on Saturday to make two tee times for Monday (Labor Day) and was told, on phone, by staff, that green fee was $39+ cart (special rate); confirmed again with staff and asked if rates were valid even though it was Labor Day. After arguing with pro shop staff for several minutes, they refused to give us the rate they promised over the phone and charged us full price (all seven of us) but gave us each a sleeve of cheap golf balls which werent worth anywhere close to the $17 rate difference. Round took 5 hours and 15 minutes to play. Saw one ranger 3-4 times who did nothing to speed play up but kept asking us if wed found a club that some idiot holes ahead of us left behind. Golf course is overwatered and requires several lay-up shots off the tee, even from the black tees I was forced to hit several 3-woods and hybrids in order to stay short of cross hazards. The green speeds were about 3 feet slower on the stimpmeter on the second nine we played so after blowing it by the hole all morning, we then started leaving everything short. There were also three or four very stupid, unfair pin positions on knobs which slowed play up considerably for everyone. Wont play there again for full price or even 1/2 price.

I made a Tee time and told whoever I spoke to that I was going to be bringing my 3 year old son with me and he was going to hit a ball every now and then, I was told this would not be a problem. When I got to the course to check in the woman at the check in told me that my son could not go with me unless he only stayed in the cart and he was not permitted on the course at all. I was then informed it is their policy that children must be 7 years or older to step foot on the course. I have had my son on public, private, and municipal courses with me since he was 2 and never run into this problem. If you have kids under 7 who want to golf with you dont bother going to Westwoods. While most golf courses go out of their way to promote youth golf Westwoods fails.

Rudest staff I have ever encountered. I asked if we could play the Cottonwood and Sleeping Indian on the phone when I reserved the tee time they said it wouldnt be an issue unless they had a tournament, when we arrived I asked about it and they scoffed at me and rolled their eyes like I was a moron for even asking. Another time I called about some of the prices and was treated as an idiot for asking. Also if you ask me the Silo course is too gimmicky, like a giant mini golf course. If you have any other options avoid at all costs! Even if you have to drive a bit farther it will be worth it to have a more enjoyable and polite visit.

Had my best round of the year here today. played the "silo" course. Really enjoyed the course layout. Lots of hills and fun greens to go after. Very much of an attacking 9. Would have rated a bit higher but there is lots of construction going on including the clubhouse which is inside of a temporary building right now because the main Clubhouse is being remodeled. Also Im used to the really nice electric golf carts and these were outdated gas carts. Not sure about the pricing because I played in a work league so we get a discount. Fun course though will score higher once construction is done.

Paid over $1000 to play in a tournament here and when it was over I accidentally left my range finder on the cart. Called that night (we finished around 4pm) and multiple times the next day. They said they hadnt found it, yet the go through ever cart before it goes back out. So conveniently my $250 watch walked off by unattaching itself from the cart and into one of their employees pockets. Never once have I left something in a cart and it not showed up by the latest the next day. Highly unprofessional and I now wish I wouldnt have even played here at all.

This is a very nice public golf course. The greens are well maintained and the tee boxes are in good shape. Course layout is pretty easy to follow because the fairways are well defined. The course can play tough. The rough is rough and catches a lot of balls. Youll play invert creeks, along the Ralston Creek Trail, over water, and even around old abandoned silos. Lot of fun. Good challenging course with great views of the foothills.

The layout is interesting and challenging, but the course was in terrible shape when I played it (6/21/2013). Most disappointing was the staff in the pro shop that seemed to think that late June was still early in the season. With as much moisture as we received this spring, there was no excuse for all of the burnt off grass. It could be a good course if it was better cared for.

The course is typically in great shape and the facilities are always well maintained. The restaurant/club house offers great food at affordable prices. Although green fees are a bit pricey, they justify the costs by a well manicured course and great aesthetics. They have some great practice facilities as well.

Greens very nice, interesting pin locations. Thats good. Not to difficult for a decent player. Greens fees at 60 weekend are ok, but not quite right for afternoon play. Rental clubs were mis-matched and short without and 3 or 4. They have nice demo clubs from the OEM, but want 40 bucks a play. Get real.

3 very fun 9 hole courses. Great value for the price. The course is challenging, but you can definitely score. Each 9 presents a different challenge, so there is something for everyone from target golf to the long ball hitters.

The course is improving it had a few hard years. Its much better then it has been. The clubhouse is great. Dont tell anyone but its a wonderful brunch and dinner spot. Unreal that its run by the city of Arvada. Big Kudos!

Get ready to have the marshals be rude and tell you to speed up when youre waiting on the group in front of you. Brought it up with the manager after and he couldnt care less. Makes no sense, and will never go back.

Great course. Love it every time I play here. Cart girl met up with us 4 times which was great. The course is pretty challenging. If youve never played here you can get in some real trouble, well worth it though.

The clubhouse is under renovation and closed through 2017, but the course and driving range are open. The temporary pro shop is at the far end of the lot.

Good regulation 27 hole course with some variety and some fun uphill and downhill shots. 50+ senior rate is nice. You can do 9 or 18 readily.
