Its a $2 movie theater!!!! Woooo-hooo! Thats enough to make many, many annoyances worth the hassles in my book especially when Im taking both of my kids out to see a movie. Six dollars versus thirty isnt a tough choice. And more often than not well even get to see a good movie that is well focused, loud enough but not too loud, and shown at a time that makes sense for our kids. Essentially the same experience we get at first-run theaters for a fifth of the cost. Unfortunately, sometimes - Id say maybe a third to half of the time - there is something that needs to be adjusted (i.e., sound quality, focus, image location, etc.) but weve NEVER had difficulty getting the attention of the theaters staff and then seeing/hearing the results of their changes immediately. If you think something is wrong I strongly encourage you to simply go to the front of the theater and ask for the adjustment needed. Its their job and you shouldnt have to settle for poor image or sound quality regardless of the cost of admission. My only other beef is that sometimes a week will go by during which there is NO kid friendly movie playing (or, more often, the single kid-friendly movie available is a real dog). Oh, well, also too many people smoke outside in the teeny courtyard at the ticket windows - but thats Knoxville...

Friendly & respectful staff. Great prices. Good movies & as someone mentioned - theyre responsive to problems that you bring to their attention (focus, sound, etc.). But yes, the facility is worn and in need of TLC. But, you still get far more than what you pay for. In a perfect world, if these people would work themselves senselessly cleaning and maintaining the theaters, the experience would be world-class. But Im not paying for world-class, and that would be a pretty unrealistic expectation. As-is, its a great deal. Ive saved hundreds, perhaps a thousand-plus over the years with 5 kids going to movies here. Viva Carmike 7.

Number one, the prices here are unbeatable - $2.50!!! Love that! I am disappointed that as a discount movie theater they dont discount their food and drinks, though, as that has been my experience at other discount theaters in the past. Also, the theater is very old so I feel like I need a shower after watching a movie in one of their seats! BUT, as a single mom its all I can afford and you still get the full movie experience for a fraction of the price so I do recommend it if theres something you want to see on the big screen. A lot of times the movies are already out on DVD by the time this theater shows them.

The price is right, but everything else isnt. I cant tell you how many movies Ive went to here trying to get a cheaper movie for the kids or to avoid spending a fortune for a new feature film. I keep hoping my experience will improve there, but it gets worse almost every time Ive went and I got to a point where I was fed up. Movies have started 10 minutes or more late a few times, a few movies had spotty parts or wouldnt play, and the seats are so worn that theres often springs coming through. Its much more worth your while just to wait for the movie to come out on DVD or cable.

Great place if you want a CHEAP movie!! These are the "Cheap Seats" if you ever hear anybody say that. $2.50 for a movie is an awesome price for movies that are still trying to make a few bucks. It can take a little time for new ones to rotate through, but you can sometimes catch a really big movie if youre patient. The candy selections are still kinda pricey and can be off brand at times, if youre looking for something specific. Staff is usually pretty good and theater is about what you can expect for the price.

Its like 1/8th the price of regular movie theaters, so of course it isnt going to be something fancy. The staff is helpful and friendly, the bathrooms are clean and stocked, and they take efforts to make up for what they may lack in perfect, shiny newness. Like today, they were out of large size popcorns, so they offered free refills on mediums. Medium is already almost more than we can eat. Its really great to be able to just go see a movie without spending $50 for two people.

Totally rundown looking on the inside and out but you cant beat the price. The decor looks like its from the late 80s to early 90s. On a side note there is a secondary snack bar in hallway next to the theater rooms that looks like it hasnt been used in years, and I was right it hasnt theres still candy (classic buncha crunch movie pack) on display that expired February 2016. No real complaints though, bought 2 tickets to see alien covenant an I enjoyed my self.

I am a retired teacher and love going to the Carmike7. You can enjoy the experience of going to the show along with having movie popcorn and a drink without breaking the bank. The theater and bathrooms are as clean as other theaters and comfortable. Keep in mind it is not a brand new theater so dont expect stadium seating and fancy bathrooms. That is fine with me because I would rather go to the Carmike7 and keep the extra money I saved!!

Been going here for years. AMC has taken over now. Things are changing. I still like the old crew that are still there. Great price for a movie cant beat it. They have replaced all of the old seats with new ones. Changed the coke machines and put the butter out where everyone can butter their own popcorn ( large is free refills). All in all I will continue to go! Yes it is an old theater but me & my hubby are content.

There were three people working behind the concession stands tonight. Two of them done their job but the third boy did not. He did not help any of his coworkers tonight, instead he watched them tend to all the job duties. This guy Sat on a stool, laid his head back and went to sleep. Not one time did he greet any customer, smile at them, or offer any kind of help to anyone. Poor customer service to say the least...

We have been going to Movies 7 since we moved here in 1992 and have always appreciated the prices for great movies. The staff has been courteous and friendly and the popcorn is delicious. It is one of the older cinemas in town and they have done a good job of taking care of most of the problems inherent in an aging theater. A GREAT BIG THUMBS UP to all the people who work there and the loyal customers!!

I give the price 5 *STARS* and the facility 1 *STAR*. We love going here when we dont want to spend a whole bunch of cash, but the sacrifice is in the comfort of the theater, and the cleanliness of the lobby and bathrooms. However, it is a plus that most of the employees have been very nice. Ive never had the same problems as other reviewers with the sound, focus and other stuff.

I have been going to this movie theater for about 4 years for the movies that I just did not want to pay full price to see, but wanted to see in a theather. In the past two months, one movie was not centered, one was out of focus, and one was out of focus and the sound stuttered. I guess you get what you pay for. I will just wait for the rental in future.
