They remodeled the theater and all and all, on day 1, horrible experience. Called twice, the second time asking for a manger. We were asking if they were partnered with Fandango, as they are listed on the site, but had no movies listed. Were told both times that yes, they do. Assumed the reason we couldnt purchase online was because of the remodel, and trusted the two employees. We were told just to bring our Fandango Giftcard in and they could do it. Got to the theater and was told by the cashier the only way to use Fandango (had a giftcard) was to do it online. After showing the site to the employee a manager had made her way over, and informed us that no, they had nothing to do with Fandango. We had to purchase tickets with cash instead. Would have walked out there if it were not for the fact that others in our group had already bought tickets. Walking through the new lobby it looked nice and clean, good because it was just opened that day. Got to our theater (room 6) and immediately noticed a rattling noise above our seats. Some kind of vent was rattling loud enough to hear over the room of talking. From there on any time the film went quiet we could here the rattling of the vent. Well, except for the multiple times the people behind us talked, while they enjoyed drinking their alcohol brought into the theater. Good job staff checking on that kind of stuff! All and all I will be going to the other theater in town for my movies. Sure, it was freshly remodeled, but I have never had such a bad experience there.

Every Sunday my family heads off to the Quad for a movie and we have done this for quite a while now and everything has been enjoyable til a couple months back when they started showing certain movies before the scheduled times. I have walked out of the theatre with pop corn and drinks in hand on a few occasions along with other families complaining of the same problem. I have complained to the staff and they even acknowledge that this has been an issue in the past and said we should consider getting there at least 20 minutes before the scheduled time. Arriving 20 or more minutes is not an option as we often attend with other families that have small children as well. Needless to say nothing has been done to correct this problem so we have stopped going to the Quad. Hopefully someone will do something to correct this problem in the future.

I would definitely rate this movie theater a 5 but I really found getting IDd for a movie a little bit annoying, not even just once, but twice. I keep my ID in my car when I know it isnt needed. I parked far from the entrance of the theater and the cashier said she needed to see my ID like now so I ran to my car and ran back. Im good at running and I dont mind the running, I just didnt like having to present my ID... Twice. I want to say that was the only flaw here. I come here often, despite living in Bay City. Its a very nice and comfortable theater. Im sure the theater wouldve IDd me as well, it might just be a rule now but yeah. Definitely a minor inconvinience, nothing to ruin my service.

I tend to go when the film I want to see is on a GDX screen. Which tends to be opening weekend if films coming out the following week have the large screen format. Staff is on top of making sure popcorn is available before the movies start (and not burnt). I dont really eat the concession because it is not worth the price in my opinion. However, its pretty imperative that popcorn is made so it can be sold. My only complaint is that the dolby system in the GDX theater is so unbearably loud during their little videos showing how great they are. It shakes the projector (when words are on the screen you can see them shaking). I usually feel like I have to cover my ears.

I gave this Theater a four because it is a very nice theater with very friendly staff. Also, they offer many different theater settings such as a Dolby Atmos theater, a 70" screen theater, and reserved seating in certain theaters. However, the prices were quite unreasonable compared to other theaters I have been to. Also, from what I saw, there were no specials besides the matinee showings. Overall, it is a great theater for Mid-Michigan, but there are other nice theaters close by with better pricing. It will definitely be the place to go for big screen movies instead of Lansing, though.

The best movie theater I have ever been at, great seats and for the majority of the time the popcorn is fresh. I dont like the fact that you have to go to a different spot for the salt. The staff is really good at moving the lines usually fast. The bathrooms are way to small for a theater that size, so your wait time can be awhile, feel bad for the ladies. I would still recommend this to everyone I know. Oh one more thing, I dont like the fact that you have to choose your seat, and most of the time I have to pick its usually half full. So what purpose does it make any sense in picking.

I agree with a lot of the past customers. The popcorn taste horrible, or shall I say...it has NO taste at all (except oil). The prices are outrageous! and there really isnt much difference in the matinee price from the evening price. The good things include: the seating is very comfortable and the sound is crisp & clear with lots of surround sound. However, I still prefer to go to the Fashion Square Theatre because the popcorn is ALWAYS delicious and the prices are very affordable. They also treat their customers well. If you have a complaint, they usually try to accommodate you.

Movie was good but it was everything before it that was bad. I had pre-ordered my tickets to get a seat at a good distance from the screen, but once I get to them they are gone. Also as I arrive to the theater to claim my tickets, and what do I see? Their ticket claiming kiosk for online tickets was down so I had to wait a half an hour to get my tickets to see the movie missing the beginning of the movie. They need to not have any of this to happen on opening night of big movies because this was extremely frustrating.

More popular for younger crowds than the Fashion Square Cinemas. Slightly higher prices buy Stadium Seating, slightly better concession and service, and shorter previews. Much better upgrade from the previous "Saginaw 10". It has its pros and cons over its competitor, however, the decision depends on the moviegoers preferences. If one is looking for a regular movie experience, GDX gives you the large crowds, regular prices, and ambiance you want. If price is the only concern, Fashion Square is a superior choice.

I went to a movie tonight on a Tuesday. Every other time I have gone on a Tuesday the tickets have been $7.00. I got charged $9.00 for myself and $8.75 for my son and when I asked why they said it was because it was a GDX theater not a standard theater. I didnt think it was any more special than any of the other theaters. I will go back to Fashion Square Cinema where its only $6.00 any day. Was very disappointed on being charged more on thrifty Tuesday and wont be coming back any time soon.
