Do you enjoy the pain of cutting your feet on unmaintained streets? How about the stench of piss that not even eye burning amounts of chlorine can mask? No? What about incompetent lazy staff? How do you feel about hornets? Do you like a plague of them swarming around heaps of garbage? If, on the off chance you do love these things then more power to you. If not, don’t waste your time or money. I’ll keep this as condensed as possible, I don’t want this review to be a three part saga but this place is disgusting in every sense of the word. You pay around $40 in the summer season if you don’t have any random discounts, which they may or may not honor as was the case with my friend who went with me. I found out 40 bucks doesn’t get you much here. Apparently despite coming in mid-August, well before the school season started, a third of the rides were closed. When we asked why they were closed they said most of the staff leaves weeks before the seasons over to go back to school, in mid-august. The pavement at the park might as well have been razor blades, it was physically painful to walk on. So painful to walk on that there was the constant noise of children screaming about how badly it hurt their feet. When kids weren’t screaming about their feet being ripped apart they were screaming about the swarm of hornets that ruled the entire entrance and food areas of the park. I’m not over exaggerating either, everything was coated in hornets. When ordering a drink from one of the food stands there was hornets crawling all over the fountain drinks, counters, cups, workers, ect. I even asked the girl behind the counter how she deals with all the hornets, to which she laughed and said “you get used to it, kind of.” I was constantly amazed at how the staff would do nothing when people were putting others in danger. For example, while waiting in line for one of the water slides, two young boys started wrestling on the stairs that were at least 2 stories tall. They also did nothing when a couple started kicking my friend’s inner tube around in the lazy river. They were also absent when small children were climbing up a broken metal ladder, complete with dangerous spikes, only ripped up caution tape warning them away from it. There were 7 life guards at the activity pool 3 of which were doing nothing, actually nothing. At one point my boyfriend and I lost our glasses in the pool. I told one of the lifeguards about they told me they’d get them when the park was closed but I had to go to customer service and report it. I did that and the women there told me that they would call me the next day about them at 12pm, if they didn’t call me I was to call them. Well they didn’t call so I phoned them only to have the women tell me they didn’t have time to look and they would call me at an undisclosed amount of time. A week later I called again, and was told the same thing, they hadn’t had time. After 10 days I emailed their customer service who eventually agreed to look for the missing glasses. 2 or so weeks after the visit to the park I finally got a call from someone saying they were just about to check the lost and found for my glasses and would be back to me later that day. Surprise surprise, they didn’t find them despite me giving a detailed description of them, the exact location and time. I spent 2 weeks getting jerked around by Wild Waves support only to come out of this experience $80 poorer plus another $100 poorer now that my glasses are gone forever. To be brash, screw this place. What a sad excuse for an amusement park.

Today was the first time my wife and I have ever been to Wild Waves... Suffice it to say... We will NEVER be returning. First. The website quoted me $10 for parking... Charged me $12. That was okay. I can over look that. Got into the park after the most relaxed security check Ive ever seen. I literally made it into the park with my firearm in my backpack that was "checked" by their security. Luckily Im a respectful and responsible gun owner and got a stamp and returned to my vehicle and locked it in my trunk... Have you guys ever heard the phrase "soft target"...? If not, do your patrons and employees a favor and toughen up on your bag checks because allowing two unwittingly armed adults into your park is purely irresponsible! Luckily your mistake was caught by us and corrected by us. So now down to the meat and bones of why we will never return to your park. 1: $15 for a locker? Are you kidding me?! Price gouging much? 2: we enter the park at 11:30am and the entire 4 hours we were in the park, the only moisture to touch our bodies was from our own sweat! There were 400 yard long lines of people waiting for the free tubes for the rides, so we decide we would pay the $13 for the double tube. After waiting in line for over an hour, we were informed that they were out of tubes... After taking my money and giving me a wristband with the promise of "one possibly becoming available. At some point". I asked for a refund.. guess what... No refunds. Does that makes sense to you?! 3: finally after arguing with the apathetic Harry Potter look alike at the tube rental area for close to 30 minutes while waiting on a "manager", I was advised if I did not want to continue to wait, I could exit the park and visit the Human Resource Department... Outside of the park. Luckily my wife was smart enough to locate the Guest Relations area magically, there was a manager by the name of Eric sitting there with a female employee sitting and chatting meaninglessly. I explained why I was so upset... Mainly the fact that at that point Ive paid over $100 between parking, entry, locker rental and a tube rental I never received... And all he would offer was reentry tickets... Literally seconds after I told him we would never be returning. So obviously he wasnt listening to my very valid complaint. So then I become extremely frustrated and demanded a full refund and to be escorted from the park in order to make sure they knew we were leaving and not making anything up. He wasnt willing. The female employee then stated it was possible for me to get a refund, but I needed to email the finance department because I paid with my debt card. Are you joking me?! In order to document the promise of a full refund, I began filming Eric, with the camera pointed to the ground in order to respect his request not to be videoed. I explained that because he refused to get me in contact with anyone from your finance department I wanted to document him saying he is the manager on duty and I WILL get a full refund. So I have video of this promise... So I expect a full refund of every dime i spent. Especially the $13 for the tube I never received! So thats $12 for parking, $40 for two entry tickets and the $13 dollars for the tube I never received. A water hose and kiddy pool would have been more satisfying... No wonder Six Flags sold it off.

Worst time our family has ever had at an amusement park. The inefficiencies in the way that Wild Waves runs its operations are ASTOUNDING. If your line is wrapped completely around your entire parking lot causing a 45 minute wait (a line we had to wait in despite buying tickets online), you’re doing it inefficiently. Then having to wait another 40 minutes just to get a locker, we lost 1.5 hours just trying to in and get what we needed. By the way, we visited on a Monday, not even a weekend. The rest of the day was more or less spent doing exactly the same thing, WAITING. WAITING. WAITING. 1 hour and 20 minutes wait for zooma. 45 minutes to get on the lazy river. The entire park seemed way over capacity. There were so many people in the lazy river that fingers were getting smashed left and right. I saw terrified kids getting tipped over by rowdy people trying to push their way through a traffic jam of tubes 30 deep in there and the life guards did nothing about it. At one point, teenagers were jumping up and down causing huge waves in the lazy river knocking my kids out of their tubes (who didn’t stop even when I asked politely) and when they passed a lifeguard she said “Hey, that’s so cool.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? When we tried to get out after that, because of the overcrowding in there, while my daughter was trying to get out another tube crashed into her and pinned her arm against the wall. She was screaming and while I was trying to help her not only did the lifeguard who was standing directly over us not do anything other than yell at the girl who was bumping into her to move on, another person who was waiting to enter the pool actually grabbed my son who fell into the water trying to get out because he too was knocked down. Having people exit and enter from the same place is ludicrous. Kids area was a nightmare. There was a ham sandwich floating in the pool, disintegrating everywhere. Kids climbing up the slide causing collisions..not a lifeguard in site in that area. Wavepool way overcapacity. Couldnt move even though it was a huge pool. Not enough employees working the amusement park. One employee per ride to buckle people in, let them out and run the ride causing long lines. Not once but twice I had to go into customer relations and ask them to fill up the water station. Given that this was the only place to get water in this area, that should be made a priority. Then of course we had to wait for the water to come since we weren’t about to stand in a line 35 people deep at the adjoining snack spot to get a bottled drink since there weren’t enough employees working there either. In 8 hours at the park we were able to do 7 attractions. We basically spent the entire day waiting. One final comment, you should be ashamed at the amount of trash in the park. Everywhere we looked there was trash on the ground. Lids of trash cans were taken off and placed on the ground because they were overflowing. Seagulls as you well know were taking full advantage of this feast. It was disgusting. I will never return to your park again and have spoken with many people who share the same sentiments and others who were glad to be warned by us. Wrote a letter of complaint and was sent a canned "sorry you didnt enjoy your visit" response. LAME!
