WOWZA. I dont eat here extremely often, but often enough to have a couple favorites, namely the giant and satisfying Twister burger (Two 1/3lb patties cooked and temped to order, choice of two types of cheese, sauteed mushrooms, thick cut bacon, LTO, and an AMAZING onion sauce all between a toasted bun. what more could you ask for?) I recommend T.F. to people at least twice a week at my job. Its unfortunate to say that I wont be doing that anymore. For my birthday, I ordered my twister (medium) to go. I made NO modifications to this order, just that i asked for a decent side of onion sauce for dipping my regular/sweet potato fries in. When i opened the box, I found several disappointing components that pretty much MAKE the burger. First, there wasnt the usual thick cut bacon, but in its place chopped bacon bits. they were dry and and unpleasant in comparison to the standard I had fallen for. Second, there was no onion sauce on it OR on the side... I will say that the patties were cooked PERFECTLY. the fries were beyond overcooked, and moved on to inedible. either they sat in hot oil too long or in the basket too long after frying... either way, a problem. I dont post reviews without giving the restaurant a chance to fix their mistake, because we are all human, and it happens. Having said that I called to discuss the issues i had with my food. I was told by 2 different employees that they would gladly get some sauce that i could come and get (1, was the rest of the information missed? 2, sauce after the fact doesnt at all solve but one issue of those listed.) then I was transferred to the person who took my order, which answered the phone ONLY to tell me that she couldnt refund the ticket without having the original card (I never asked for a refund). Bad food can be made up for, but rude, unprofessional service was not necessary or called for. All this for my birthday dinner to be spent extremely underwhelmed. at $17 a burger, the expectation is reasonably higher than standard fare. I would only describe Twisted Fish as "having gone downhill."

My husband and I went in around 11:30am on Sunday April 19th (2015) and decided to try their brunch. The set up was serve yourself with awesome food both breakfast and a few lunch items. We chose to sit in the bar because the dining area was full. Right after we were seated one of the male staff members came up to the bartender and was talking to her very loudly and began cussing and raising his voice ranting about something that had happened there at work. My husband and I were like "really"? We ignored it because we were in the lounge regardless of the fact an employee shouldnt be speaking that way in front of at least 10 customers. Soon after we sat down to eat the "manager" sat him down at the table next to us and started having a heated discussion with him. He was complaining about his schedule and hours and she was talking very loudly about how "she had a business to run and was giving him the position he wanted, etc". I couldnt believe this "manager" would be doing this in a restaurant/lounge full of customers. She clearly is too young and clueless to "run a business". My husband finally leaned over and asked her to take it somewhere else like I dont know ...the office!!?? She said "sorry" and got up and left. Nothing more was said to us the entire time we were there. I told the bartender her customer service was awesome but she needs to remind her manager that the entire situation is extremely unprofessional even if your working at McDonalds!! Great food unprofessional management.

This place was OK. Went here for my birthday dinner as were visiting Seaside. We ordered a spinach dip appetizer, Prime Rib dinner medium and a NY steak medium with the loaded baked potato. Our appetizer never came and our waiter never even mentioned it. He just forgot about it. The prime rib temperature was well and from looking at it you can tell it was overcooked as it was grey with no pinkness at all. I had to get a new piece which came out pinker but still medium well not the medium I wanted. The meat was OK but bland and the au ju was under seasoned too and everything was just cold or room temperature. The NY steak came out rare like the inside was still cold and bloody we had to get it refired and the baked potato was the regular one instead of the loaded. It seemed our waiter and the kitchen staff were having a difficult time today. Food did come out ridiculously fast and it showed as it was more about speed than quality of the food cooked. Everything tasted OK but if youre going to call yourself a steakhouse please know how to cook a proper steak and know what the different temperatures are... Its overpriced for the quality you get and the service was lackluster seeing as our waiter was pretty forgetful however he was nice enough. I wouldnt return here...

I love the food and most if not all the bartenders. Karaoke is the best with Lena and Joe. I wish the other karaoke gal (Jaime) would finally get in gear. I fail to believe that she gets paid to hang out with her friends and smoke cigarettes all night. I sang 3 songs from open to close. There was only 2 other singers...the whole time she would just sit and hang out with her friends on the stage and every 20-30 min. she would take a smoke break. Her smoke breaks usually last about 20-25 min. because she would take her friends and they would hang out outside. I give Twisted Fish 5 stars, but they really need to get rid of that karaoke gal and hire someone who knows how to do their job and do it right. This is an everynight thing with her. I come to have fun, and she does not make it fun at all...

Came to seaside with my bf for my birthday. Checked out this place cause it has an awesome happy hour menu, great prices. Service was fast. We got the clam chowder and twice baked potatoes. The potatoes looked...less than appetizing, more like theyd been under a heat lamp for a while. We took two bites and decided for $3 we could afford to not eat anymore. He was excited for the chowder though, I mean its the coast right? Right off the bat it smelled way fishier than any chowder Id ever had. And now were spending the last night of our trip at the beach with my bf throwing up every 15 mins cause he has food poisoning. We were planning on a big romantic dinner tonight so thats why we ate light all day, this clam chowder being the only meal he had. Beware!

The food was delicious. Chowder was just thick enough and had a smokey finish to it. The stroganoff was awesome with lots of meat in an excellent sauce. Some of the best service i have received. wait staff was top notch for our visit. they asked what brought us to seaside, when we answered it was part of our honeymoon we were congratulated, at the end of the meal they brought us a surprise desert (which was awesome) Prices are on the more expensive side but its not bad at all for the fine dining style meals they produce. all in all this is an excellent venue for a date night out. Would highly recommend Would definitely eat here again.
