The best venue I have ever been to. Everything about it is done correctly. Who ever the management is knows what they are doing. Clean streamlined pit/dancefloor. Anytime someone spilled a drink it was cleaned up with in 30 seconds. Also a great layout for tables that allow you to watch the show and still allow for privacy. And the best part maybe the layout of the stage floor and tables so it doesnt compromise the sound of the mix or their awesome stage lighting. Good beer selection with mixed drinks at a wide open bar you can walk up to with bartenders that know more about serving then they do about mustashe grooming products. And again I have to stress how on the ball they were. General admission tickets are great if you wanna get in the pit or hang out outside the floor. but if you got a group spring for a table seating and get something to eat. The food was great too. Security at most venues are almost non existent so when d bags get out of hand and begin ruining other peoples experiences security was on the ball. It was amazing, they dont allow people to make a scene if they get out of hand. And when they did boot someone it was justified and people were greatful. But unlike other venues that park neanderthals everywhere and get in the way of the experience they run the door and get a call in from head of security that over looks the place. Best venue.

Tried to see the Suicide Girl Burlesque show on 7.21.17. I question the ethics and business practice of taking $30.00 from customers, and having a stage only twenty (20) people could view. Unfortunately, this venue is profit driven - once you have given them your money they refuse to offer any assistance. Due to the layout of the venue, we were unable to see the stage (a common complaint based on other reviews). When I explained the situation to the staff and security, I was told to come earlier... I came two hours before the show. I seriously question the ethics of their business practice. They need to be inspected. Seats? Youll be standing unless you want to shell out additional monies. Drinks? 2 sips and 15 dollars. Customer Service? Terrible. Even the run down bars off El Cajon have better service. Dont give this place your business.

The venue is decent but too small, it gets too crowded, theres a restroom attendant that clutters the entire hand wash area, otherwise restrooms look clean, the entire venue is modern displaying abstract black and white decor, 3 levels that include a VIP section this is the only seating available.Appetizer style menu is offered to all therere a few tables where you can rest your drinks or food but very limited quantities 3-4 the 2 bar tenders I order from 1 male the other female, where NOT tip worthy it appeared to have upset them to prepare a margarita and pour a draft beer for a whopping total of $19.00 (I still left them a tip) over all it was ok but NOT GREAT.

Really expensive. $15/drink. Minimum of two. Tickets get an additional $3 "processing fee" at the door. 2nd floor tables $450.00 each with 1st bottle included. A bottle of Red Breast Irish Whiskey will set you back $325.00. I can get that at BevMo for $52. 3rd floor arbitrarily closed. Minimal seating on 1st floor. View of stage impeded by everyone else standing around. No monitors. Bass was dialed way up. Lyrics and guitars are drowned out, and of course, you cant talk to your date. Band starts late and its 2 cover bands before the headliner gets on. Not worth the money by a long shot.

Top venue! I went with a group of my friends to see the Argentinian reggae band Los Cafres, I had purchased a booth in the VIP section. We had great views and the booths although close I felt had privacy. Everyone respected rhe space which meant we all had great views of the show. The waitress we had was attentive and offered free bottled water! The promoter for the event came over and introduced herself which I thought was a nice and professional gesture. Overall topnotch! Will definitely be back!!!

This is a great place to see a show. No matter where you are in there, you have a great view of the stage. Lighting and sound are also done very well. The bar looks amazing and stocked with local beers and lots of other premium spirits. Bottle service is also available from what I saw on the menu. If you have not been to this brand new music venue yet, pick a show and go. It really doesnt matter who you see because the place is that cool to just be in.

The staff here is very rude. They are not hospitable except the bathroom girls. Ive been kicked out of 3 viewing areas, didnt know they were VIP, thought just the tables were. Anyway, when the staff tells you to leave its like you commuted a crime, they dont ask and apologize for any inconvenience. I spent money to drive here, paid too much for a ticket then paid for parking. You should be thanking me for coming out in my time and my dime.

Cool new venue. A little pricey for tickets and drinks, but about average really for the area I guess. Definitely higher class place, but they seem to have a few cover bands where they would open up the floor and get more casual. Probably the most important thing to me at a venue is how respectful the security/staff is, and every person I interacted with was accommodating, respectful, and fair. I will be back!

Cool space but poor layout on the floor... way too narrow. Makes it hard to move around and if you arent tall you will have trouble seeing stage. Remove the pointless couches/coffee tables along the left wall that are wasting prime standing space. Sound quality was subpar...Hammond organ was clipping/distorting during Greyboy Allstars show. HVAC system was good. Didnt get too hot/stuffy despite being packed.

Been here three times for various shows and enjoyed it every time. The space is well laid out and at least the times I went, was not overcrowded. Not much in the way of seats, but its not intended to be a sit down venue so to be expected. The drinks are expensive for what you get . Location is good, as it is within walking distance to many good eateries and parking is not usually a challenge.

Music Box SD has a great atmosphere and vibe. I hate to say it in response to other comments but, no venue, at all, can (really) control the artists start times and endings. Also. Majority of venues have a service fee of sorts. Looking forward to Mos Def on 5/27. Please go catch a show at the Music Box if you have a chance, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent music venue, really good sound system, three levels, drinks are a little pricey but typical of downtown, really great selection of craft beer on tap and in can, available seating if you get there early for an otherwise standing only event, reserved seating is also available.

Interesting place. I kind of miss Anthology because it didnt blow your ears out. Some people complain that theres less seating. I think theres still enough seating. The food is somewhat expensive. I thought what I had was pretty good. Its cool that they have earplugs by the door.
