This has been a standard in my visits to the coast and Astoria. It is a pretty great space, awesome windows and an amazing large patio in the summer. They also have a handy text page system for when your table is ready so you can enjoy the town or have a beer upstairs. Bar seating however is sometimes part of their reservation and seating system so dont assume you can just plop down at the bar while you wait. The food is perfectly fine and the servers are nice. Our waitress forgot to put in half our order and did what she could within her means to fix the hour wait half of our table had for their food but in the end didnt comp anything or make any extra effort to make up for the mistake. A pretty standard 3 star. Happy to go there anytime as its easy and offers variety for a large group. This last visit we had several menu items listed and reviewed below: Poutine: was more gravy than fries or cheese. It was an amazing saucy and bacon montage but not anything particularly note worthy. Would like more fry and more curd. Buddy Rich Salad: Not super heavy on the beats and not the most flavorful combination of ingredients but overall acceptable. Fried Pickles: theyre fried, come on, of course theyre good. Make sure to get dipping sauces you love. House Fries: are wonderful, a good salty crispy fried mix. Love. Filthy Burger: not as pulled pork messy saucy as my friend had hoped but a great flavor. Fish and Chips: Maybe the best plate of the night. Super authentic and just really well done simple classic.

Its kind of an oddball building and setup. There are three distinct areas. A taproom for where you just want drinks, and then an upstairs and downstairs restaurants. Downstairs serves more typical pub faire, burgers, sausages etc. Upstairs has an oven that produces delicious, magical food. After taking in the sights from our huge family style bench seating on the east side of the huge open dining area. I picked a beer and immediately decided upon the pizza special. My girlfriend picked their clam chowder and Caesar salad. It goes without saying, the beer was wonderful. My girlfriend elated over her choices. We had the garlic bread show up first, which was light, flat, and full of wonderful garlic and mozzarella love. All complimented by a rich marinara that worked well either lightly dipped into by each stick, or slathered on each one. Then the pizza showed up. Glistening in grease of the pepperoni, sausage and bacon. Smelling akin to something that would come out of heaven, and tasted as youd hope. The whole time, we were supported by lovely staff that were all too willing to let us gorge ourselves on their food. We waddled out of there all too pleased with ourselves and I had lunch for the next day too.

Everytime weve been to Fort George it has been wonderful. The food, drinks, and service have all been outstanding. This time started out just as wonderful- a server was able to accommodate the two of us at the bar when the restaurant was busy, we had delicious fish tacos and IPAs, friendly service...until our second beer. As soon as I picked up my 3-Way IPA to take a sip, the bottom of the glass fell off. Our phones, shirts, pants, and even neighbors clothes were all soaked. (And my wifes white pants, which apparently is a big deal.) The bartenders and our bar neighbor helped us clean up the mess and the bartender gave a brisk "sorry" but that was that. The bartender poured me another 3-Way but still charged me for it and when she delivered it she said "try not to spill it again," I told her I hadnt even taken a sip yet and that the bottom of the glass fell off, she simply shrugged her shoulders and said "oh, yeah, the glass the was too warm when it came out of the washer." No discount, no comp, no real apology, and we sat there covered in beer and were ignored the rest of the time it took us to drink our beers and leave to change at our hotel.

I went in with my mom for a beer, it was busy. We asked to sit in the courtyard after we get a beer. The waitress was a total witch (in the downstairs area) she said we had to be on a waitlist to sit in the courtyard. We told her we just wanted a beer and to sit down. She said "sit in a plastic chair and if one of my tables moves DONT steal my table." I looked at my mom and told her, lets go elsewhere. We actually went up stairs, got a beer and went out to play corn hole. We love the beer and the atmosphere, it would have been a GREAT experience had you had better customer service from the terrible waitress, who remains nameless, because she refused to tell us her name. I will always remember her face and refuse to get serviced if she is the waitress working. Sad a place can have such great food and beer and a bad employee. Also, we came because of the recommendation and GIFT CARDS people have given us. Customer service is KEY and will make or break your establishment.

Dont waste your time and money eating here. The food is mediocre at best. There was not much variety to their menu, which we were informed was pared down for the summer because it gets so busy. I ordered the special; BBQ ribs with cole slaw and watermelon. The tastiest item was the watermelon. The ribs tasted like they were reheated and their BBQ sauce was not very flavorful. The ribs were also lukewarm when they were served and the final bite was so overcooked it felt and tasted like I had just bit into charcoal. The cole slaw had almost no dressing and needed a ton of salt added to give it any flavor. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger. The burger was a small thin patty. The service was not that great either. Our drinks were never refilled and the only time we saw the server was when she brought the check. The meal was so disappointing that we stopped at Fultano’s for pizza on the way back to our hotel.

Ok atmosphere, nice beer selection, servers were friendly and helpful. The wait was a little long, but this is a popular place. The problem comes with the food. My brother got clam chowder and a tuna melt. My girlfriend had the rockfish tacos. I had the poblano burger. My brothers tuna melt was the best tasting dish and we all enjoyed it. He ate all the clam chowder but none of us thought much of it. My girlfriends tacos were sopping wet - no one strained the cole slaw, apparently. They were nicely seasoned but the cold corn tortillas and the soup they were sitting in made them unnappealing. My burger was overcooked and didnt taste like much. Later that night my brother had all the signs of food poisoning - we assume from the chowder, since hes the only one that ate it. This happens if you eat out enough, but the fact that this occurred has kept us - along with the mediocre food - from coming back.

Very good beer with excellent service, a great view and a great space to have a couple beers and a good meal at a reasonable price. Many great things to see in Astoria including the Trolley tour, many restaurants, the column, coffee shops, ... About ten miles away is Fort Stevens State Park with weekly bird tours, daily kayak tours, junior ranger sessions in the summer, bike rentals, clamming, beaching, hiking... Connected to Fort Stevens State Park is Historic Fort Stevens museum and gift shop. Although moderate sized, both are very nice. The museum also hosts ticketed truck (army personnel carrier) tours of the military installations. Nearby, Seaside is a great ocean beach community, carnival like community, with paddle boarding and skim boarding opportunities as well as a unique golf course
