One of the best outdoor concert venues that I have ever been to. The various bands that I have seen perform at this venue and at other locations seem to play better at Legend Valley/Buckeye Lake. If you have the opportunity to see a concert here you will definitely be satisfied and have a great time and experience. Growing up not far from the venue, maybe an hour or so tops . I was able to see a ton of bands perform at the venue in the 1980s and 1990s. The parking areas can be a significant walk to the stage area and the walk generally goes pretty fast since their are a ton of miscellaneous vendors selling food, drinks, beer, t-shirts, clothing, glow sticks/ropes and whatever else you might need. They also have a couple of gas stations right next to the entrance to the stage area so if you forgot something at home or the car you can probably get more at the stations. As for getting there you have the interstate in sight of the venue as well as Ohio Route 13 but a general word of caution is to try and avoid the main roads after the concerts if you are drinking or doing drugs etc since the cops are in force around the area and its best to have a sober driver. As for some of the bands that I have seen at the venue are the Grateful Dead, Black Crows, Guns and Roses, Trafic (Steve Winwood), Violent Femmes, Steve Miller Band, 4non Blondes, Megadeath, Acoustic Hookah, Hookahville music festivals and many more acts that are escaping me now. As far as the weather goes they play rain or shine. One time when Traffic played there was a violent thunderstorm that was so bad everyone was soaking wet and the band had to leave the stage for a little while and then came back out to finish out the set. Unfortunately the parking lots are grassy cow pastures so it became a little slick and muddy after the storm and the concert. If you think that the concert will be rescheduled for another time because of rain it will not be. The location is serious about Rain or Shine. But being that the stage is set in a natural Valley and the summer heat it can get pretty foggy around the stage area. That makes the light show even better with the natural fog and mist catching the light and glowing with whatever color lights are being used. As far as restroom and facilities at the venue go its porta potties lined up on each side of the venue but they do not have running water or electrical outlets. Just generators for the bands equipment in the early days but they did have some electric service at the site by the 1990s but that is only for the bands equipment and stagecrew to use for the concert. I have seen concerts all over the country over the years at venues like Shoreline in California, Red Rocks in Morrison Colorado, Alpine Valley, Deer Creek, Riverbend, and many more indoor venues and stadiums. But I have always been partial to outdoors amphitheaters with Legend Valley/Buckeye Lake and Red Rocks being my top two venues on the eastern and western parts of the country. These two venues are amazing and the bands put a ton of energy into their performance at these two venues and tend to play more fans favorite songs and in the 1990s they jammed harder and longer then at other venues in my opinion. You can not lose and are pretty much going to have an amazing concert at these venues. Unfortunately its been a very long time since I have managed to see a concert at any of these venues now that I am living in Florida and have not had the time to travel to these amazing venues and its also been along time since any bands that I like have played these locations and travel so far for a concert that could be seen within a few hours from home. Instead of traveling cross country for a show. Granted half the fun is getting to the show.

Terrible! This is a disorganized mess! 2.5 hours in the parking lot after the show ( Yes we left early )! We knew there was trouble when we entered, because there was no one "Parking cars". 5 people standing shoulder to shoulder pointing down the main drive does not count as parking cars.30 min in line to get drink tickets. 30 min in line to get a drink. So... 1 hr invested for a beer. 35 min in line for rest room. Legend Valley administration should buy tickets to Clays Park and Resort near North Lawrence Ohio for Country Fest so they can learn how to do it right.

Went with some friends to Country Jam 2016 and this venue is amazing!! We camped out for the weekend and even had a chance to make it down to Hocking Hills for some hiking!! The people were all very friendly and I didn’t notice anyone getting out of hand. The actual concert area was clean and well-kept with plenty of bathrooms. There were lots of vendors for food and drink too. I have to say there wasn’t a bad seat in the house to watch the performances. Great time and a lot of great memories!! Can’t wait to go back this year!!

It is a decent venue for a music festival, if it rains it gets extremely muddy and stinky.
