On June 27th I was checked in by the shift supervisor with the red hair. Upon check in total price was $198 including breakfast he stated, no problem."handed him my card" I went to go get something to drink from the store and my card declined. When I checked my account i had a charge for $273. Very confused at this point. I went to the front desk to see why was $273 taken out my account. The front desk clerk explained that $25 a day was added for incidentals. Wonder why the manager didnt explained this. Whatever, I can eat the free breakfast until my deposit cleared so I thought. The morning we come to eat breakfast only to be billed $34.16. Very confused again, after being told it was included. That was strike 2. Ok so even though we was scammed into eating their bland breakfast, still decided to order room-service for dinner. Call guest service just to be told that this isnt the room service line but I can take your order. Im like ok ,but she really made me feel like I was a nuisance. After placing my food order I had a question about the size of the drinks because it was not specify on the menu. Rebecca told me that she didnt have time to tell me the sizes. "Gasp" I hung up in her face and I immediately went down stairs. I spoke with the manager with the red hair and he said he will take care of it. we received our food about 30 minutes later and it was cold. Strike 3. At this point Im over it. We checked out Friday, June 30 with a bill of $345. Later that day we go to restaurant I check my account before we went to the restaurant we order food everything was great go to check out and my card declined again. When I check my account and I see three separate charges one for $72,$50, and $100. I called and spoke with the accounting manager Seliane she stated she didnt understand why I was being charged and it should be fixed in the next business day. This after being hung up on and getting the runaround with the front desk. So agin Im on vacation with no money left in my account. The next day I had a deposit of $273. I figured due to the horrible experience she just refunded majority of the bill. I was completely wrong. Headed to the airport I was charged another $50, $50, $98, and $147. At this point no one of status was in the office because of 4th of July weekend. I spoke with the accounting manager again and she stated only time I was charged was on the 30th and Im like thats incorrect I been home since the 2nd and you guys are still taking money out my account. I had to call my bank to get information on how to handle this issue. Now Im wanting a full refund because I have 2 nsf fees and they are just playing in my account. Seliane tells me that all the charges are valid and that since I was on and employee rate I should have a better understanding of how hotels operate. I was so shocked that she would say that after I had been dealing with this issue for a week, being very patient. She rush me off the phone after I took offense to what she said. This place is very unprofessional and I will never stay with this chain every again.

No More Crowne Plazas For Me... Stayed at hotel for 8 days in December 2016 for business conference. Shuttle from airport was quick. Front desk was friendly and check-in easy. Said they upgraded me to a "Cabana Suite" with free Wi-Fi and breakfast, so was excited about hotel until I went to my room. NOTE: There are two parts to this hotel: 1) Main tower with standard (small) rooms and amenities, and 2) The "old" part of the hotel, an old converted motor lodge from yesteryear. Was "upgraded" to 1 bedroom suites with a king bed, large bath, and living room with a pull out sectional sofa. Walking to my room I lefy the main tower and got a feeling of dread. All room entrances for "cabanas" are external from hotel and opened up to pool area/courtyard. While those areas are fairly nice, the courtyard doubles as a smoking area. Tower and amenities are modern and nice, including breakfast area, lobby (small!), conference rooms (standard), and a restaurant (Mojitos...too popular & loud!). But issues I had with my room, despite amenities and size, were many. Bed is hard as a rock, room was dark, main window opens to walkway where people are passing by every minute of the day (esp. the staff). Is a mini-fridge, microwave, and sink, but no bathtub and the shower doors were broken in my room. But worst part of room was the noise! Too much! Cars on the nearby freeway; music/people in courtyard & pool; people coming and going to the restaurant/nightclub; people in smoking area; fountain near the pool splashing day & night; staff talking & walking by my room all day long slamming the entrance gate to housekeeping area located on my floor; loud, obnoxious "mood music" that the hotel blares into courtyard area at all hours of the day. But noisiest issue is inside cabana rooms where you can hear water running through pipes anytime a neighboring room flushes toilet or uses sink; and the independent A/C for room is located in a cupboard behind the bed! I would NEVER stay at any Crowne Plaza again, especially this one...

Worst hotel experience ever. Rude staff. Shower leaked completely through the wall that divided the bathroom and bedroom and soaked all of my clothes in my bag that were sitting on the floor in the closet. Staff was unapologetic and showed no remorse and did not even make an attempt to try and fix or help me out when I was supposed to be going to a concert and was left with no clothes or anything bc they were all soaked from the shower leaking all the way under the wall into the closet and room where the bed was. The carpet was drenched halfway across the room and smelled like mildew. The manger/supervisor was a real piece of work - extremely arrogant and he was just flat out rude. Wish I knew his name...but he wore thick black framed glasses and had dark hair. There is no jacuzzi...just a freezing cold pool that you think they would heat during the cooler months here in Florida, but I guess they are too cheap and careless to do that??? Anyways, I ended up leaving the hotel after the water leak and they still charged my card, which I finally (after over a month) got credited back to my credit card, but only bc I disputed the charge. I will never go back to this hotel...after all this, the room wasnt even that clean and their prices were absolutely ridiculous. What a rip off! STAY AWAY! BEWARE - WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN! I would have rather stayed at a Motel 6. If you are in this area and need a place to stay, stay at the Intercontinental which is just right down the street. A million times nicer, bigger, free complimentary breakfast buffet, great views, extremely friendly staff and clean rooms with extremely comfy beds and nice furniture, as well as updated bathrooms and flatscreen tvs, mini bar and more. Have a great pool and jacuzzi on the roof, as well where you can watch the sunset and see the city.
