I had my wedding reception in the fieldhouse at Bryn Du in August 2008, and I couldnt have been happier. Bruce Cramer and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and flexible with all my planning, suggesting vendors who they had worked with successfully before, helping with the set-up of tables and chairs in the space, and even letting us in to set up several days before the reception because there were no other events in the fieldhouse that week. The rental is also for the day, so you dont have to worry about rushing guests out before the next reception! The mansion provides nothing but the space, so you have to rent all the tables, chairs, linens, tents, etc. yourself... but its such beautiful space, and for such a reasonable price, that when I priced it out alongside places like the Granville Inn or Cherry Valley Lodge I was actually saving money for a larger space. Nearly every guest who attended the reception remarked to me later how gorgeous Bryn Du was! Tip: As of August, Bryn Du offered a 15% discount for anyone living within the Granville school district-- which I was able to take advantage of!

Nice place, but only a few ghosts appeared. I caught one full body apparition in the front dining room. The room was dark and I took the picture from across the room. When we zoomed in, we saw that I had caught a complete white mist figure from head to toe in the doorway, and it even has a reflection in the glass. There might be a small child in front of it too. Attended a wedding reception at Bryn Du and we all had a great time celebrating. The grounds are vast, beautiful and well maintained. Pro-tip: Use the shuttle because the local PD has the event schedule and camp out to make DUI stops on departing guests.

I have not been to The Bryn Du Mansion for years but this last week I visited and was completely taken back. This Property, The House and The Field House are incredibly cared for and a place to host almost any event!

This is a great location for hosting an event. The lovely old mansion overlooks an expansive green. There are smaller buildings and a large hall which can also be used and in some cases rented out separately.
