The Canton Palace Theatre has been around for a long time. I remember going, for the first time, when I was younger to see Star Wars: Episode I around sixteen years ago. The place has not changed and its such a relief that it is still up and running. They tend to play an attraction about once a week - usually on the weekend. The atmosphere is what you would expect from any other theatre - its dark and the prices for treats and tickets mostly reasonable - compared to big-chain theatres in the somewhat surrounding area. If you are in the downtown Canton area, please give the theatre a visit. Keep local places alive.

I like watching movies here. There arent a lot of new releases which kinda blows big chunks but then again I know I am not wasting my money watching a film made for mouth breathing millennials. Instead I get treated to classic flicks made for baby boomers, the same people that ruined our economy and blamed everyone but themselves. But I digress. I found a straw wrapper in my popcorn. It isnt the fault of The Palace though. I brain farted and put the wrapper in my popcorn instead of the trash. On a related note, the wrapper had a fresh taste and I could tell that it was locally sourced somewhere in China.

The Palace Theater is a shining star in Canton Ohio. If you visit the city, and have the opportunity to go, be sure to visit. Note: movies start exactly when stated. There are no previews and youll miss the start of the feature if you dilly-dally. And dont forget to look up. The palace has floating clouds. Really, it does. Visit soon and often, its celebrating its 90th year!

I love the history of this place! The inside is gorgeous and well kept. I always loved going there on field trips as a child, and I have taken my kids there for several movies. Also been there for band concerts. One place that is well known to Canton and is something that I recommend to everyone to go at least once.

I have seen Collective Soul at least a dozen times. Theyre amazing live except here! The acoustics are horrible! I will NEVER GO TO A MUSIC VENUE HERE!! They also act like everyone in attendance is a terrorist. Im not writing out of anger of being removed, Im leaving by choice.

Very very beautiful inside the theatre. I went to see a famous comedian & it was a blast. There was food being thrown around & that makes me think they put on a lot of unique fun shows here.

A proverbial and literal cornerstone of Canton, Ohio. Many good live plays & performances. GREAT classic movies, and many events held for the community such as "Dancing with Cantons Stars!"

Nice classic theater. Beautiful, artistic carvings all around. We found parking at the library a block away, but there is a small lot across the street as well (not sure if it is private).

I love the ceiling watched the clouds roll by most of the night the play was really good not bad for a group of high school kids from the writer to the actors.
