My, then, fiancé and I agreed to pay for our own wedding, and in doing so understood that we would need a long engagement – 2 years. We got engaged in November 2013, and having half the wedding planned by then I put us on the express train to booking all of the main vendors. Jericho Terrace was the 1st reception hall we visited, and we met with Rob Stevenson. We met him within the 1st week of December, and I was sold! I knew that there was not going to be another hall to give us the same as Jericho for the cost or better. To appease my, then, fiancé we visited a few other halls, which only presented JT in higher ground. The other halls, who I don’t feel should be disclosed, (although I should for other soon newlyweds to stay away) did not offer the same professionalism, personality, comfort, people skills, and most importantly, as a 1st generation Italian, the lengthy dinner menu, abundance of food etc. for the cost! I don’t remember how soon after we booked with JT, but it was certainly within a few months, and we were set for December 2015. From the beginning Rob greeted us with a casual demeanor, but never waived in professionalism. He swore that he would always be accessible and there if I ever needed anything, and he was. He was always responsive, attentive, and heard what we were saying. He even called his mother-in-law on speaker, who I know from grad-school, to give a reference of himself. I can assure you she is a straight shooter. Her reference was commendable. Rob worked with us with everything we needed, and always provided assistance in helping us make our wedding unfold into the reception I envisioned – through JT. I will say the other representatives of JT were just as helpful and supportive. I always only wanted to speak with Rob, and; although, I am anal and prefer to speak with the same person throughout, the other managers were just as wonderful! Rob is our main man though! Although I made it clear to everyone that I didn’t want to know if anything went wrong, I can’t say anything thing because I’m sure I would have heard something anyway. Our Maitre’D was Tuhin, whom we met about 10 days prior to our wedding when we dropped everything off. I am very OCD, and have everything labeled precisely – nearly dummy proof! I was getting nervous because it was the first time we met Tuhin and I felt he was going too fast, and not taking in all the detail I was explaining, so I followed up with a phone call a few days later and he seemed to have it all together – he did! Something that my brother-in-law will always talk about is how his pants were falling during the reception and Tuhin gave him his suspenders for the night! Really! Tuhin you’re awesome! My bridal attendants, Christina and another wonderful lady whose name I cannot remember – sorry, were great! Christina was by my side throughout the whole night. No she was not on top of me or in the way – she was great! The service during the reception was seamless and from what our guests convey everything was great including the food, service, ambiance, etc. JT provides a list of recommended vendors. The ones we used, and would highly recommend are their photographer – Patken, and DJ – Unique Entertainment. I’ll leave a review for them on their respective site. I would certainly recommend JT to anyone planning an event, and would absolutely consider it for any future events of my own. I hope this gives you a good insight into what JT is about. I mean the place was very pretty. The food was sub par. They scrape the plates at your table, make that what you will. My younger sister ate a stuffed mushroom she was served and felt extremely nauseous. She ran downstairs and I accompanied her in the garden. She had no control over the fact that she was going to throw up. We went back to the party and hoped to keep it together until the party was over. 20 minutes pass and she needs to throw up again. We run down the stairs but she cant make it, and starts throwing up in a plastic hat she was awarded by the DJ previously. The crew attending the lobby urged her to get to a bathroom, which I understood. It was the only set of stairs from the lobby to the first floor. We make it to the restroom and she throws up. My mother runs downstairs to find one of the lobby crew cleaning up the little that spilled on the stairs loudly complaining that "some drunk 14 year old threw up" to a coworker. My mom knows exactly that shes talking about her daughter and becomes extremely angry at her before coming to check on us in the bathroom. When leaving the same woman who complained on the staircase has the AUDACITY to come up to us with this face look of concern pasted on her face asking if she can do anything for us. We refuse and leave. Really the setting was beautiful and I have no complaints, but the crew has little to no full respect for non client guests. I understand if you need to complain about customers, but at least have the decently to wait until youre out of earshot. Oh and Dom the bartender was very nice.

I got married at the Jericho Terrace a few weeks ago and it couldnt have gone better - this is the best place in Nassau county to get married! We initially met with Anthony to get a good feel for the JT and had Ryan as our maitre d on the big day. Both of them, as well as all of the staff were extremely professional and made our day special and incredible. The decor is classic Italian-themed (we were in the Skylight Room) and many guests remarked how beautiful the venue was. The food was high quality (cocktail hour was a marathon of food!) and even had at least 10 options for the main course at dinner. The staff was very helpful and on top of everything throughout the evening (one example of going above and beyond too was after the last shuttle at left for the hotel, which somehow left the bride, groom, and both of their parents behind), the JT staff brought out a large tray of ice water and wine even though it was way past their closing time and were extremely friendly and patient while the next transport arrived to take us out. All in all, I would highly recommend getting married here - they are great at what they do and your guests will have a wonderful time!

I had my wedding at Jericho Terrace and the day of the wedding everything went very well and we were pleased but prospective clients beware. We ran into unpleasantries before the big day. The salesman, Chad, who helped us book our event misled us in terms of the price (even after we asked him to detail everything he lied to us and quoted us a price when in fact it was more than what we were told). At the end we had to shell out another $5,000 dollars to cover the expenses. We could not use another hall at that point because we were too close to the wedding day and we didnt have enough time to book somewhere else. Also, the wedding planner that they assigned us was a bit snippy and gave us a hard time becuase we were stuck in traffic and were 15 minutes late to our appointment. This really put a damper on our overall experience with Jericho. The day of the event was good but just a warning to all brides out there check everything and make sure everything is in writing. If you need to bring a tape recorded to your meetings with the hall-- do so. You dont want to end up like we did ...having to shell out a lot more money because we were lied to.
