The overall experience was good, but beware if youre booked in a larger group - While on the tour with a group of seven (7), there was a group of three (3) behind us that didnt want to wait, so they were authorized (evidently by the office) that they can pass our group - this, of course, meant we had to wait for them! So the group that came after us, ended up passing us and completing the course before us - which I dont think any one would consider fair. That essentially rewards the smaller groups and penalized the larger groups. Had i been told of these unfair practices, i would have booked the smaller group and gladly zipped past the larger group(s) in front. Totally inconsiderate (unless of course youre in the smaller group that is allow to go ahead).

An absolute BLAST!!! Its easy to find, just a stones throw from I-26 (Exit 59, Saluda), with a great HQ and terrific guides to take you through the 11 AWESOME ziplines, two rappels and rope bridge. The highlight of the trip -- other than the beautiful scenery and the thrilling ride -- had to be the guides themselves. Adam and Mike took our group around and couldnt have been more professional and fun. They kept the mood light while keeping us all safe. They were super helpful when a few in our group had a tough time pulling themselves in to the platform when they didnt quite reach on the zip in. I cant say enough nice things about those guys!!! A really great time!!! Next time, I plan to check out what else Green River Adventures has to offer.

The Gorge Zipline was an AWESOME adventure! My best friend surprised me with a trip here while Im home for the holiday weekend and we absolutely had a blast- 3 hours and 11 zip lines later I would go again in a heartbeat. I was absolutely terrified at first glance but our guides Hayley and Brittney were wonderful. They were patient with me, reassuring, and explained everything to me in a way that was not only easy to grasp but made me feel safe and confident in their understanding of the course and the environment around us! I wont spoil all the details of the course, but it was a gorgeous experience with nature and exciting adventure all wrapped up into one. Overall a great time and a great buy!

The Green River Gorge is an amazing place, and the Canopy Tour zipline is well designed, safe, and exciting. The equipment seems very secure, and the guides follow a strict protocol to minimize risk. The facility and the staff were great. The physical weight limit is necessary to avoid excessive inertia as you hit a brake to stop you as you reach the platform. Lighter individuals may need to pull themselves a few feet further hand over hand - but its not difficult. Heavier individuals hit the brake a bit harder. Due to the group size (8-10) the whole sequence takes about 4 hours, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the scenery from each platform along the way.

I planned a trip for me and 4 of my employees. When i booked forecast showed 78 and 10% chance of rain. During the week hurricane joaquin moved in dumping 4in of rain in 24hrs and pouring the day of. SC was in state of emergency. I called the day before on friday morning to get a update on the schedule. Was told i will have a call back by end of day. So sat morning at 930. I get a call stating they were running. My employees figured we were not going. So now i was told no refunds no rescheduling. No options. Who wants to go in pouring rain on a employee day. So i am out $400.00 not happy at all. With customer service.

My 13 year old daughter and her father participated. On the 2nd zip line her hair got stuck in the pulley system. They had to cut her hair off. Did not try to save any length at all. Her hair was went from the middle of her back to less than 2 inches. They didnt offer anything. Not even their money back. Not to mention that she has a burn mark on her neck. They went through all the rules in a hurry. I would not recommend anyone to go. Response to feed: They never told her to put her hair back. She had it in braids and changed it to a pony tail. Nothing was ever said to her about her hair.

Worth the money and best service youll find around! Ive experienced a lot of tour companies and this one just made the top of my list so far. Scheduling our trip was easy thanks to the receptionist, rescheduling slightly was made easy by same, and the trip its self was great thanks to our guides Colby and Tim! Going over safety protocol wasnt dry and monotone, then when it was time to get out there we just had a blast. 100% recommendation here. Also, if youre around Greenville, sc the Costco on woodruff rd will likely sell tickets at a discounted rate.

Wow, can I say wow! We loved our experience. My husband and I made a short trip to Asheville and decided to go ziplining. After some research on what was out there, I came across The Gorge. We just went today, 6/16/15... And had a blast! Great guides (Kevin and Anabel) great outpost starting point, very professional, and the zips and repels were good fun. Very safe and great scenery. A must do if you are a thrill seeker! This is one of the more extreme ziplines. If your 12 or under is not sure that they are into this, consider an easier place to go.

Worth every penny. This was my first time on a zip line as it was on my bucket list. (Florida doesnt have any mountains). I was scared out of my mind and adrenaline rush was extremely intense. Our guides / instructors ( Christian and Lucas ) are awesome at their jobs. They got me through the day and I felt really safe under their control. Ill ask for them on the next trip. The scenery, speeds, lengths and design can not be put in words to describe the experience. Just go and have fun. You wont regret this place.

A 3hr canopy zip line tour with our great guides, Patrick and Gage. The trip starts at the building where you sign in, then you go through 11 ziplines, a few rappels, and a suspension bridge. Theres no true hiking except at the end to get to the parking area, from which we loaded into a van and headed back. Equipment was in good condition and safety took a top priority. We enjoyed our lunch at the Purple Onion as well. Thanks everyone for making this trip happen and for ensuring the safety of all involved!

Just did a canopy tour with my mom and friend this week and had so much fun! The Gorge has a great facility and friendly, funny, helpful staff (even the ones who werent our guides). Our guides were very informative, entertaining, and really made the experience. Also the value is amazing with 11 ziplines, 3 rappels, and 1 swaying skybridge for the same cost as what some other places might charge for a lot less. I highly recommend making The Gorge apart of your trip!
