Im an Elite member at this Casino. Im an avid gambler and frequently visit Las Vegas and Biloxi. The positives about Hard Rock is that they have a plethora of slot options, amazing food, and for the most part a fun atmosphere. The negatives are obvious. Room rates are outrageous, just for a standard room which is very basic, you can get a luxury suite at the Bellagio or Aria... hopefully with the hotels expansion this will change. No complimentary drinks, unless your in the High Limit room which Im fortunate enough to be in most of the time but this is still ludacris. Thirdly, table game minimums are atrocious. Speaking to numerous pit bosses and hosts and even my own host about this subject is insulting. Im blessed enough to be a high limit player, I went with a group of 5 friends last weekend at $25 min table and of course raised the limit to $50 for no reason and they were unable to play after that. There were numerous $50 tables with no one on them because... Well because $50 per hand would put you in a high roller room in Vegas in some casinos. Not even the Bellagio, Wynn, Aria, and Caesars have these kind of table minimums, they ALL have lower limit tables to accommodate every gambler. Hard Rock Tampa fancies itself a world class destination, if thats the case they should be more in line with other world class destinations and if they are going to be more expensive than these 5 star resorts(casinos) the least they can do is have some of the accomadations of these other resorts i.e. comp drinks, a better comp system for table players... When players have gambled an excess of 10k a day or have literally spent 24hrs there and the pit boss basically says they really cant comp you a meal or a room which Ive heard them say to numerous players is embarrassing. I, myself have been told I had been "over comped" which is absolutely insulting and probably should never be uttered to a patron. So if youre looking for one night out its a fun place to go, but dont expect to be able to play table games unless youre willing to do $25 min per hand, and willing to spend lots of money on beverages. For the loyal, avid gambler, its not anything like any other casino sadly... Why is that? No competition, so they can treat their players how they like. Even the Hollywood HR treats their players better... Why??? They have competition! Just think if we had that in Tampa! Maybe HR Tampa will do it right not because they have to, but because they should.

For the customer who is reading this, just know its the Truth. The Seminole hardrock of Tampa used to be a great place to go have fun and to gamble. That stopped several years ago and ever since then it has gotten worse and worse and worse. they have a contract with the state of Florida meaning no one else can open any table games or other casinos to come here cause the Seminoles own the rights and by that contract they do not have to answer to anybody. There is no gaming commission to regulate these crooks and they could do whatever the hell they please and they do it. Trip advisor is now known for posting fake reviews and being paid to post reviews and to hurt other businesses and to make any business look good and hard rock has them in their back pocket. 90% of the reviews of the Hard Rock Casino are false or fake. most of the reviews are nothing but advertising analyze to get people like you to believe it so you could go in there and basically be taken for a fool. They are the most profitable casino in the entire world, Tampa alone profited 2 billion dollars last year but thats what they are claiming cause im sure they made alot more cause they do not audit anything. Most slot machines have a audit system that shows how much money goes in and how much goes out or how many jackpots are paid and its recorded but these little displays are well hidden I know where they are and I have taken the numbers down and gone back and guess what the numbers are still the same so basically they have it turned off they dont do no audit at all you cannot tell what they are making. They are crooks. most state laws have to have slot machines to pay out 85% on a dollar thats the lowest the Tampa Hard Rock Casino I would say and Im not joking or lying or exaggerating that their payout is between 12 to 18 percent on a dollar Im serious. heres a perfect example and its true I was playing midnight treasures and I play max bet which is $8.00 a spin. I got the bonus round 10 free spins at $8 a spin and it paid me a whopping $9.00 dollars. there is a lot more I want to say and I will but right now I dont have the time I will write another review and the people of hard rock you know who you are I have no respect for you people anymore ,,really you guys can screw off I hate liars and thieves I cannot stand them and you people are both!!!!!

"The Black Hole!" My first visit here was in 2009, I own a company in town and have a ton of clients who visit here weekly. The Florida Legislature has been bought and paid for by the Seminole Indians so they have a monopoly on being the only casinos to offer slot gambling in the State of Florida. This monopoly allows the Seminole Indians to create a Black hole in Tampa Bay, sucking their customers dry. The payouts here are beyond embarrassing, yet fuels the new renovations and add ons for the new hotel. You will never win more than you lose here, progressives are rare to hit and other than enjoying dinner even the drinks are watered down and over priced. Biloxi Mississippi is so good to their customers. Mlife points never expire, comp money does not expire, and they actually will give you free airfare and hotel once you make one trip which will cost you $400, the payouts are monitored by the State and you will win free games, and some of your money back. If I owned a Casino my customers would slide their card at the door so I could thank them for visiting in some simple method. My card would keep track of your spending and my slots would be designed to give you at least 50% of your money back, this would ensure you are winning something, playing bonus rounds, and free games, along with a lot of free play for money lost, and you would be so happy you would gamble, gamble, gamble, not at the Seminole properties. Because eager gamblers think well maybe next time Ill win, they continue to suck their money into the Black Hole of Tampabay. Customers seriously be smart, save your money and invest in a trip to Biloxi Mississippi and you will be so happy that you boycott this company. Poor free play unless you spend thousands, comp money expires in 9 days, and their slots will eat you alive with no payouts. Progressive wins dont happen, and their staff is NEVER around to offer you a soda which you have tip for or their wait staff will not give you one, so even a tiny bottle of water is not free here. Be smart, Gamble wisely!

This review is mainly for the poker room, which was the purpose of our multiple visits in April 2016. The promos here are fantastic - currently a $300/hr high hand, and theyre one of the only rooms in the area that take only $1 per raked pot for the jackpot - most rooms are taking $2. Rake is a standard 10%, max $5, and comps are $1/hr for 1/2 NL and $2/hr for 2/5+. Beer is *not* free; soda and water are. No food in the poker room, but the 24-hour food court is just outside the poker room and offers asian, pizza, ice cream, and Cuban options. Theres a poker cashier right in the poker room with 4 windows, which is nice. Wait lists are managed by the Bravo system, and staff is able to make you a players card for those sweet, sweet comps right here if you want to skip the Players Club lineup on the casino floor! Theres also bathrooms right in the poker rooms, and theyre very clean. Even the females! If youre familiar with female washrooms in casinos, youll understand how refreshing this is. As far as the dealers and floor go, I found everyone to be perfectly professional and also personable. We were in town for about a week, but several were greeting us by name by our last visit. Floor was quick to respond when needed, and I was satisfied with all of the rulings that I witnessed. You probably wont have cell reception in here, but there is free wifi. The room itself is decorated with giant framed pictures of various rock stars and celebrities playing poker, topped by a most unexpected one of Tara Reid and Steve Tyler - TOGETHER - in the bathrooms. Bright, clean carpet, nonsmoking (including vapes), and clean felt. All in all, a very comfortable and professional room with great action and promotions as an added benefit for the casual players. My one giant complaint is that the room is COLD! My fingers and feet were numb and white after about 2 hours. Cold, cold, cold, so bring a hoodie, and maybe some sunglasses while youre at it... youll fit right in. ;)
