When this theater opened up in 2001 (I believe?!?), it was a nice. BUT the problem is, they have done nothing what so ever to update this theater in the past 10 years other then some new projectors. If I am going to pay prices comparable to the big theaters, then I expect the amenities of a big theater. -Concessions consist of popcorn, candy, some icecream and soda. Other theaters I have been to have pizza, hotdogs, french fries, chicken stripes, cheese sticks, coffee, juices, even beer and wine & a whole lot more. This theaters concessions are dated and need to be badly updated. -The last show time at this theater on Sunday and weekdays is at 7pm!!! Just about every theater that I know of hosts a showing between 9-10pm. -The ticket booth is always closed. Instead you go inside and purchase your ticket at the concession stand, so that the person can man both the concessions and tickets. IMO, this is really ghetto. It tells me that whoever is running this theater doesnt care about the customers or the service that they provide. -The video game arcade selection needs to be updated. The games are old as all get out. -This location never hosts any special events. How about an Iron Man marathon? Or something connected to the Man of Steel? Or back to back showings of Hunger Games 1 & 2 or Star Trek 1 & 2? Or a showcase showing all the Best Picture nominees? Or something showing all The Fast and the Furious films? Or a Halloween showing on Halloween? Or some anime events or one day only events? -The seats need more of an incline. -I dont know if this is a possibility, but there appears to be enough space for a second floor so that you can show more movies. -Parking is a real issue at this location. -Another issue is you dont always get new movies. I went to this theater on a Friday night to see The Evil Dead (the first night it came out - and this movie was #1 that weekend) and this location was dead. With such a disregard for customer service, providing concessions or having enough show times while still charging the same rates as bigger & better theaters, its no wonder the residents of Culpeper go to theaters in other counties instead of coming to this one.

We live in Culpeper and this is our favorite Movie Theater. Yes they could probably use some updating.. But the way I see it is I pay about 2 bucks less to see a movie close to home versus traveling all the way to Manassas, with 2 small children. We dont go to the movies to play the video games But the few times my kids have played them they work.. NO complaints there! Concession are great I can stand next to my kid stand in one line while I stand in another for our tickets...TOTAL SCORE! Grateful that we go in for tickets and not have to stand outside in the elements. Yes there are only 4 theaters here but there also arent thousands of people trampling my kids as I try to get them snacks, restroom or to our theater. We have never had a problem with customer service here... Even when I spilled a fresh large Coke all over the floor. The manager himself came rushing out with a mop and cleaned it up (with a smile) faster than I could get bother my kids out of the spilled mess. Parking has never been an issue at any time of the day. By far my favorite theater! Happy Mommy.

Living in Warrenton, I have referred many of my neighbors to the Culpeper Movie Theatre instead of going to Manassas. I was very dissapointed today when some friends I referred were treated very poorly by the movie staff. Specifically, they took their two young children to the Culpeper Movies to see a childrens movie, purchased their popcorn, candy and drinks, then tickets, only to be told that the "bulb burned out" and the show was cancelled. Things happen, but the situation was handled very poorly. The staff only refunded the ticket prices, and were very rude and uncaring in their approach, leaving upset children and angry parents. At LEAST, they could have shown a sympathetic attitude and comped them their purchases for their next visit. Not at all in keeping with the prevailant attitude of the Town of Culpeper. I will not be referring any of my patients and friends to the Culpeper Movies again.

The parking lot for the movie theater is "reserved parking" Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. If you are seeing a matinee you have to park in the public lot a few blocks away. The parking ticket runs $10 (+ a $3 convenience fee for paying online within the allotted 72 hour payment window). The signs are not very conspicuous either with a sign every 8 spaces or so. The movie theater however is in good condition with serviceable bathrooms and very comfortable seating. The line for snacks always seems way long (10+ min wait) so either get there early or eat before going.

I know its a small hicktown movie theater, and it might be a little on the pricey side, but what movie theater that plays the newest movies isnt expensive? The people are friendly, the place is always clean. and the best part is that that its near home. The sound quality is great! There is always room. The 3D movies suck just like they do at every other movie theater! Whats not to love about our hometown movie theater?!?!

Just moved to town this week from Orlando area. Huge movie people. This place ruined it for us. Weve been transferred here for a year and will save a fortune not going to shows for a year. The first non 3D cheap show is over $10 bucks a head and the popcorn was so gross we trashed it! The early show is after 12pm! So spoiled to our $5 early birds at DISNEY SPRINGS. Gonna be a long year!

Why did the Manager decide the two Mothers Day movies werent important to show in May??? Bad Moms and Mothers Day movies???? Or, from Christmastime, Joy? Seem slighted against strong women!!! Why do we have to drive to Fredericksburg for movies women of Culpeper would like to see? Could be making money for your theater. Wake up!

for a local town cinema this i quite ok... i always bring my 5 kids with me to watch movies here.. the place looks clean... the staff are nice... now with regards to parking, there are places to park with time enough for you to watch the movie and be back but you have to look around... oh well, you cant have everything :P...

The seats are not comfortable and there is not enough slope to the floor so that you end up trying to see through the head of the taller person who sits in front of you. Concessions also too expensive. I will go to Charlottesville regal next time

Not a bad place to see a movie but their selection is usually pretty lame. Several times that we have wanted to see a movie while in Culpeper, we end up at a RedBox because the theater wasnt showing anything worth paying for.

Great staff, they get you in with your soda and pop corn quickly and organized. Seats are nice, though the theatre is showing its age (not that old but if you go to a new new theatre you will know what I mean)
